The Wonder Working Power of the Holy QuranThe Love of Five Yemeni Muslims Liberates 364 Reformed Terrorists from PrisonJudge Hamoud al-Hitar and four other Islamic Scholars accomplished through the wise and skillful use of their Qurans, what Western anti terrorism experts told them would be impossible. Of course, most western Anti terrorism experts and also the Bush Administration understand very little about the power of ALLAH and even less about the amazing power of the Holy Quran. Tragically, they also refuse to understand the tragic consequences of the power of bullets, the overwhelming limitations of the power of prisons and the total immorality of torture. As reported in the February 4, 2005 Christian Science Monitor, when young Judge Hamoud stood before the first five Al Qaeda members he faced in a Sanaa Yemen prison, they were defiant. Nevertheless, through his patient listening and his sincere love for each of them as persons, though not as terrorists, he slowly overcame their understandable defiance and hostility. His basic logic is quite reasonable. He presupposes that they had been persuaded to follow a line of reasoning that the wrong activities of Western enemies of Islam and other enemies of right, justified their participating in terrorist activities. In contrast to their previous indoctrination, he patiently helps them realize that destructive and bloody activities against the West such as bombing western targets in Yemen or in killing women and children, are not justified by the Quran, but rather defy the Quran. His reasoning is that if distorted teaching from Islam and or the Quran had been used to twist their minds, more correct teaching form the Quran and Islam presented in a respectful, patient way can untwist their minds. But he is exceptionally strong on his emphasis that the more correct reasoning must always be presented in a friendly, kind respectful way and only when the one who believes in terrorists’ acts has become convinced that his own line of reasoning has been thoroughly heard and respected. Then, texts from the Quran such as “Whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption done in the land – it is as if he had slain all mankind entirely. And, whoever saves one, it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.” After weeks of this kind of respectful discussion/debate in the prison, if the prisoners renounce violence, they are released, and are offered vocational training courses and help to find jobs. But, it is only after winning the militant’s trust does the wise Hitar began to correct his beliefs and to teach him more moderate ideas. This reasonable approach by this one progressive Muslim man makes much more since and is much more effective than the counter-productive strategy of the retrogressive “Christian” Bush who replaces true Christianity with a pagan strategy of “Kill or lock-up as many of them as fast as you can. And remember that we will sacrifice as much blood and as much money as needed in order for us to carry out our patriotic mission of killing and capturing terrorists. As loyal Americans we must be resolute in our conviction that we are a prosperous nation with a surplus of young men and women who are eager and willing to sacrifice their own lives for the worthy cause of protecting our vulnerable country from worthless terrorists.” Actually, the contrast between the wise Hitar’s approach and the pagan approach of President Bush and his powerful, wealthy Pentagon, is vastly greater than the contrast between day and night. Please attempt to speculate which approach pleases ALLAH and which approach will bring eventual Judgment to the nation that practices it. Incidentally, before you make your judgment on which approach pleases ALLAH and which does not, please be aware of the following relevant fact according to the Christian Science Monitor, of the 364 former militants who have been released from Yemen Prisons, not one of them has left Yemen to fight anywhere else. And amazingly, this has occurred in the very nation which many experts thought would become terror’s capital. Perhaps the young Yemeni Judge Hamoud Al-Hitar should become the President of the United States in order to try to save us from the disastrous consequences of our own anti terrorism campaign which has become a monster. In reality, with the approach we choose to use, we are feeding our monster so much that it is developing the potential to finally devour us. back to "Pre-2005 Middle East Observations" page __________________________________________________________ _________________________________________ __________________________ _____________ |
