The Self-Deceived President

A Perspective of the Prophet

“Let us examine for a moment the devastating impact that the President's naive, American can do anything and everything by itself” mentality has on the children of the parents of America.Such a philosophy and conviction by George W. Bush demonstrates both a lack of basic intelligence and an unparralled shallowness of perspective.President Bush simply is unable to put two plus two together and get four.

“As a lead up to the invasion of Iraq Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, George Bush and Pentagon officials argued that it was just going to slow down the efficiency of winning a war with Iraq if the U.S. significantly internationalized the war by allowing other nations and the “irrelevant” U.N. to have a significant input into its planning and operation. However, by excluding the significant involvement of other nations, these myopic leaders have virtually guaranteed that more and more American young people will leave their blood in the streets and sands of Iraq.

“That is obvious Prophet, because if there are more other nations in Iraq fighting against Iraqis, that means that more persons form other nations would be killed, maimed and hospitalized so that fewer Americans would be killed, maimed and hospitalized.”

“Although there is truth to what you have said, that is not the main point I intended to make. The purpose of the U.S. occupying Iraq is supposedly to stabilize that country and create a government so that the U.S. can leave. Therefore, in order for Iraq to maintain stability when the U.S. leaves, there must be a relatively stable Iraqi government. But, for that government to be stable and have legitimacy with the majority of the Iraqi people, it is more than absolutely necessary that the Iraqi people have a high degree of trust and confidence in how their government was established.

“The Americans being in Iraq has become a sort of one nation show. This is mostly due to the U.S. being unwilling to share leadership. The sad reality is that the impatient and arrogant U.S. leadership did not have enough sensitivity to understand the importance of internationalization even before the invasion in order to establish legitimacy for the new Iraqi government that American leaders hope to help establish during their occupation.Consequently, since there is severe distrust of an American dominated occupation that is not internationalized, there is much more fuel for rage, strong resistance and insurgency by the Iraqis. Plus, there will be extreme distrust and resentment of the new Iraqi government that the U.S., without the legitimacy of internationalizion, wishes to establish. So a government which can be viewed by the Iraqis as legitimate will experience delay after delay in being established and may not occur until long after the Americans find an excuse to leave.

“The bottom line is, the arrogant, naive, Bush mentality of, “We are America and we do not need anyone else,” translates into much more bloodshed for American occupiers, so that their betrayed parents, brothers, sisters friends relatives will need to make more and more funeral arrangements. But the Bush Factor, which is a naive presumption that America can accomplish whatever Bush is convinced by Paul Wolfowitz and Dick Cheney that it needs to accomplish, does not only kill young Americans. The Bush Factor is also needlessly killing large numbers of young and older persons from a broad variety of other nations.Quite likely most of these precious lives would have been spared if the U.S. had not from the beginning treated other nations disrespectfully and even arrogantly. Instead, countless lives have been lost due to the U.S.not respectfully involving others in the liberating, occupying and establishing a legitimate government in Iraq.

“Concerning the deaths of those from other nations who are killed, maimed and murdered in Iraq, they are mostly young adults or middle age career people.Regretfully, for Iraqis many infants, many children and many elderly have also been sacrificed on the Bush Factor Altar, which bears the inscription, America can do it alone.”

“In addition to the Bush arrogance factor which heeps the blood in Iraq flowing like a river, the new Israeli Factor also helps guarantee that the blood will continue to flow.

“But Prophet, we understand how the Bush presumption factor has caused so much rage and distrust that it continues to stimulate blood to flow from people from many nations. But, what is this new Israeli Factor of which you speak?”

“I am sure that each of you had heard of the expression, “A picture is worth a thousand words.”The U.S. government has painted an action picture for Iraqis that has totally magnified the rage which Iraqis and other Arabs. Plus other Muslims have for the U.S.occupation. This vivid picture has also further poisoned the attitude which most Iraqis have for the U.S. government and the U.S. troops.Consequently, it stimulates even more resentment, rage and resistance and therefore many more American young people will die in Iraq as well as many more from other nations.

“With the unwise introduction of the Israeli Factor, the U.S. Government has added a new dimension to the expression, “adding insult in injury.”By the U.S. government openly consulting with the resented, sometimes hated, illegal Israeli occupiers of Palestinian land, for instruction on how to most effectively occupy, humiliate and suppress the Iraqi people in their own land, is beyond symbolically spitting in the face of Arabs. It is to openly humiliate almost every Arab in the Middle East and to enrage most of the world’s Muslim. It is to symbolically stick a knife in the backs of Iraqis and other Arabs.Despite possible temporary increased effectiveness for the occupation of Iraq resulting from detailed Israeli instructions, the net result will quite likely be a more deeply entrenched rage. Thus, this intense rage will either prolong the occupation or create a Vietnam like withdrawal as a result of the increasingly hostile and possibly more effective opposition. But I do feel ever so badly for the American families that have had their children supposedly taken to Iraq for the stated purpose of making America safer.

But repeating words over and over does not mean hat the words are true. But these words of Democracy in Iraq and making America safer are no more than wishful thinking, superficial optimism and the inflated dreams of Americans and out of touch want to be, intellectuals. These dreams certainly do not have the substance or reality base that would justify the risking of one precious life or potentially thousands of lives, because there would have been much more effective ways to stop Saddam's bloody rule.

“Since you have not hated bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you.” Ezekiel/ Hezekeil 35:6

The ancient Hebrew Prophet Hosea, in his tenth chapter of the book by his name, gives Americans a horrible reality to consider. He describes Israel as a prosperous spreading vine until they ate some poison fruit.”

“But what kind of fruit contained poison that the Israelis’ ate?”

“The poison fruit they ate was the fruit of self-deception.The Prophet tells us that they deceptively thought:

“We can depend on our own strength and on our many warriors”

But ALLAH told them through His Prophet that due to their arrogant presumption of depending on their own great strength and on their own many warriors:

“The roar of battle will rise against your people so that all your fortresses will be devastated.”

Think about it America.Does ALLAH/ GOD have a similar fate for you?It may not be too late to repent. But it is very difficult for the complacent powerful and the arrogant to admit to having done anything wrong. For those who have deliberately chosen to feast on the forbidden fruit of self-deception, the road back to full recovery is long and painful and perhaps impossible to travel.

Listen

Especially is it too late to begin the cooperation and respect of Arabs and other Muslims since you have unwisely chosen to deeply antagonize and enrage most Arabs and most Muslims, not only in the Middle East, but also in the entire world. You did this by unnecessarily, distastefully, further humiliating the deposed and crushed, former Iraqi dictator by showing over and over and over on international TV an American doctor searching his hair for lice.

But then, as a vivid illustration of how US centric and totally opposed to the perspectives of other nations, that most Americans are, here is what happened on Fox news after the capture of Iraq's former President.

When a wise American such as former secretary Madelyne Albright attempted to enlighten the know it all TV personality, Bill O'Riley, of the potential long range damage of such crass and unnecessary public humiliation of an Arab leader, he rudely dismissed her opinion as if she had a tongue that was infected with gangrene. Amazingly, even Allan Colmes of Hannity and Colmes vigorously defended the policy that it was totally appropriate for the US to ruthlessly degrade and humiliate this fallen dictator, who, despite his multitudinous faults, was a president of a severing nation and was loved and respected by millions of Arabs. Finally, even though you would expect more from this U.S. President, his contempt for the former Iraqi President expressed in his two words, Good Riddance!, may come back to haunt both your President and your nation.
