Wise, Gentle Women Jihadists
Will Enlighten Multitudes of Moderately Mixed-up
Minds of Modern Male Muslims
On American T.V. the respected, and wealthy duo of Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates are waging a war against poor schools in the U.S. Yes, this war is exceptionally important. In some significant ways the future of the United States will be decided by this war's outcome.
Yet, there is a much more important war occurring all over the world in the minds of men and very few people realize this terrible, but silent war is even occurring. Who are the two sides in this war? On one side is ALLAH. On the other side are the moderately mixed up minds of Muslim men. (I say men and not women because it is the Muslim men who decide what the Muslim women are to believe and the women are basically discouraged from thinking for themselves about what they are required to believe.)
What is the war about? It is about whether ALLAH has the right to decide what is truth or whether Muslim men have the right to control ALLAH?
What are the specifics in the mixed up minds of the Muslim men's war with ALLAH. The background is that ALLAH, for his own reasons, sent his Messiah to live, teach and heal and then to die and rise from death. As far as ALLAH is concerned, this death and resurrection event had many good reasons behind it, only one of which was that the resurrection confirmed to all men that the Risen Messiah is ALLAH's choice to judge the world.
Although I have stereotyped Muslim men in this paper in a very uncomplimentary way by saying that they definitely have mixed-up minds, I make this depiction in all seriousness and with a definite purpose in mind. But the negative depiction only applies to two issues. It applies to the mixed-up thinking that is required for Muslim men to be willing to base their children's future and their own future on the twisted, distorted concept that the Quran actually desires Muslims to believe two significant wrong things. 1 That the Messiah did not die and rise. 2 That the Quran teaches that the Scriptures have been changed.
On other issues such as family, children, marriage, morality, education etc., etc., I have seen many, many Muslim men lead exemplary lives that many in the West should desire to emulate.
In this particular paper, I will not once again attempt to set forth considerable evidence of why is it totally wrong the way that Muslims have interpreted the Quran about these two issues; the Messiah's crucifixion and resurrection and the Scriptures having been changed, because I have made my case again and again in these papers on this web site about these two issues. But I will say that it appears that just as it is virtually impossible for the man, George W. Bush, to admit making serious mistakes about anything, it is also virtually impossible for the men of Islam to admit any serious mistakes regarding their interpretation of this one key verse in the Quran. But indeed they have made an exceptionally serious and damaging error in refusing to recognize or acknowledge their grave sin against ALLAH in misinterpreting one key verse in their Holy Quran in Sura An Nisa (Women) about the Messiah's death.
For some Muslim men who might argue that they interpret this profound verse in the same way that the Prophet interpreted it, I strongly disagree. But I will agree that the Prophet had one very compelling reason to allow the early Muslims to temporarily be contented in believing the wrong interpretation that was a direct result of this verse being interpreted very rigidly and simplisticly. But for modern Muslim male scholars and theologians to continue to accept such a ridiculously rigid and simplistic interpretation of this one profound verse is an absolutely major insult to Islam.
The most obvious explanation of why the Prophet allowed the rigid, simplistic explanation of this one verse to prevail so long is this. The reality and uncompromising truth that ALLA His One and that there exists no families of gods was and is an exceptionally important corrective teaching within Islam. Yet, the Christians at the time of the Prophet and many still do, refer to Mary/Maryam as the "Mother of ALLAH."
Come on! As sophisticated as certain Christians want to be in justifying why they think "Mother of GOD" is an appropriate title for the earthy mother of Isa/Jesus, this title strongly hints at the family of gods concept or polytheism. Then, if in addition to this false teaching potentially infiltrating Islam, the correct teaching of the death and resurrection of the Messiah coming into Islam just as Islam was gaining momentum as a corrective religion, could have resulted in the more established movement of Christianity absorbing or swallowing up the new Islamic movement.
So the wise Prophet had a legitimate concern that if at that vulnerable and fragile time the new Muslim believers fully embraced belief in the unjust death and victorious resurrection of ALLAH's Messiah, serious problems could have been created for Islam. Not only would totally embracing this belief at that time have created a strong enough similarity with Christian belief for the new movement of Islam to risk being potentially absorbed. But this partial absorption could have robbed Islam of its important corrective influence regarding belief in the absolute Oneness of ALLAH.
Therefore, in the Prophet's mind there would be plenty of time for ALLAH to straighten the Muslims out regarding the correct understanding of the An Nisa verse about the Messiah's death and resurrection. After all, it should become obvious to any thinker that the Arabic, shubbihalahum (it appeared to them) was never intended to mean that someone appeared on the cross to be Jesus who was not Jesus. This kind of "now you see him and now you don't," is a typical CIA kind of trick or magic and is certainly not worthy of ALLAH being involved in.
In contrast to such a ridiculous explanation of this verse, it should be quite obvious that this profound verse had another intention. Its intention was to politely ridicule those Jewish leaders who had intended to forever end the life of the Son of Maryam. Since, as the next verse so clearly teaches, ALLAH had ultimately raised him up alive into himself, in the sense of what killed or crucified truly means, they had neither killed nor crucified him. It had only (shubbihalum) appeared to them that they had done so, but they clearly had not. Consequently, it was only conjecture on the Israelis' part that they had truly been successful in killing or crucifying him.
Most Muslim Men Do Not Want This Truth
As time has passed, most Muslim men have grown more and more comfortable with any teaching in Islam which maximizes Islam's separation and distinction from Christianity. Therefore, even though any type of honest, penetrating analysis of this An Nisa verse in its context in the Quran, will reveal that the Messiah diddie and did rise again, most modern male Muslims want Islam to have no part of the true teaching of this verse that Jesus died and rose.
So the fact that the historical truth about what happened to His Messiah is very important to ALLAH, what is important to ALLAH is not what is important to these male Muslims, if believing what ALLAH wants them to believe, is inconvenient or unpleasant to them. My conclusion may sound ridiculous, but I would love to be proved wrong. In fact, I would welcome a debate any place, any time with anyone in Arabic or in English about how the Holy Quran does actually teach that the Messiah died and rose. (Of course, if the debate were in Arabic, I would need an Arabic interpreter.)
In view of the Muslim male's extreme resistance to the truth about the Messiah's definite death and resurrection, and in view of the high priority that this truth has to ALLAH, I have come to a reluctant conclusion. That is, that ALLAH is now looking to Muslim women and not exclusively to Muslim men to save Islam from virtual self destruction.
Yes, this Jihad by Muslim women to proclaim the truth of the Quran regarding Isa's death and resurrection must be peaceful. But the future of Islam and the future of Islam's children is dependent on this truth being vigorously and courageously proclaimed. And it appears that it is only the women of Islam who of this time have the will to be in touch with the reality that this truth requires. So please rise up, oh Women of Islam. ALLAH appears to be depending on you because truth is very important to Him, even if this truth appears not to be important to many Muslim men.
