ALLAH Is Never Neutral (Regarding Evil)

I had been totally unaware until recently arriving in Amman Jordan that President Bush made an important four word theological proclamation.  This religious proclamation was made in his first major post 9/11 speech.  But few have yet realized how dramatic its implications are for America’s future.  This proclamation adds even more clarity to why ALLAH had made it so emphatic to me in my beyond the natural experience in my Seattle apartment regarding this President’s willingness to publicly mock ALLAH’s Messiah.  (For a full account of the floating words minor miracle please see first part of “World In Denial Ignores Bush Doctrine Butchery”). 

To so willing mock what he himself proclaims about the morality of ALLAH marks him as a man of glaring contradiction.  He apparently has virtually no fear of ALLAH.  His manner exudes confidence when he tells his listeners that he thinks he is faithfully serving GOD by what his violent policies are accomplishing in Iraq. 

It was while reading excerpts from the President’s speeches here in Amman, Jordan contained in Rosen’s book, The Right War?, that I first became aware of this rash President’s four word theological proclamation.  Undoubtedly these four words, like a poisonous boomerang, will come back to haunt both himself and the nation that twice made him it’s blundering and apparently blood-thirsty President.

(According to Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary, a boomerang is a curved Australian club that can be thrown so it will return close to where it was thrown from.  But its secondary meaning is that actions or words can make an unintended reversal in direction so as to visit their damaging effect on the person who originally spoke the problematic words or who took the problematic actions.)

While reading these various quotes from our President, suddenly I realized that by his own explicit words about the Living God never being neutral, but always holding any guilty nation responsible for its own evil, had taken a bold, risky self condemning step.  In effect he had put our entire nation in the unenviable theological position of challenging the Almighty ALLAH.  By our own nation so openly declaring that it would be GOD and not man or the U.N. or anyone else, who would decide whether what we would do as a nation to punish the evil of other groups or other nations, would be moral or immoral.  Thus, this well intentioned but naïve President singled out our nation to be the primary target of ALLAH’s close inspection.  Therefore, this extra attention by the ALMIGHTY would inevitably lead to His punishing us for the evil we would also do while supposedly punishing other’s alleged evil.  By his own vivid words our President was emphatically insisting that GOD not show our nation any favors.  Of course GOD must also expose us and punish us for any evil that we might do while being His hopefully good servant busily punishing what we have unilaterally decided are the evil acts of others.  For if He did not also punish us for our evil, this would reveal that GOD was being neutral regarding evil, thus blatantly contradicting what the President publicly announced about GOD never being neutral.

Additionally, the U.S. President was making it abundantly clear to the world, that under his moral leadership, the U.S. would not buy into an immoral assumption of other strong nations of the past, that “might makes right”.  For if might determines right, that would make GOD neutral regarding evil.  But the President’s own assertive declaration was that GOD is not neutral concerning evil.  So that means that in ALLAH’s moral standard, might never determines right.

The specific words to which I refer were in his stirring speech to a joint session of Congress only nine days after 9/11.

“GOD is not neutral”

Undoubtedly the President’s speechwriter included this penetrating theological truism for its rhetorical effect.  I imagine that it was never considered to be a remote possibility that the truth of these four words would ever be turned around and apply to ALLAH Himself finding our own nation worthy of stern punishment.  Rather, it was implied that punishment from ALLAH would apply only to our enemies with whom we would be at war in order to be His supposed chosen instrument to carry out His punishment on others.

The President’s exact sentence carrying the significant four words was: “Freedom and fear, justice and cruelty have always been at war, and we know that GOD is not neutral between them”.

It was only nine days later in his first State of the Union speech that the President officially introduced the word “evil” in order to clearly label those whom he considers to be enemies of America.  Attempting to ride on the coat tails of Ronald Regan, he self-righteously lumped together three relatively smaller and weaker nations, Iran, Iraq and North Korea, and derisively called them “An Axis of Evil”.

Even before he gained worldwide recognition as the world’s leading “Leaker” and chief “Decider”, he sealed his championship as being the world’s number one finger-pointer. After his State of the Union speech, he even more explicitly identified American as being “good” and dramatically pointed to our enemies as being “evil” when he stated: “We are in a conflict between good (us) and evil (them) and America will call evil by its name”.  (My parenthesis added for clarity).

By these dramatic, emphatic words, the American President, with his implied boast that GOD Himself views America as being His good servant fighting evil in our world, our President without recognizing his own severely limited perspective, has inadvertently attempted to undermine the integrity of ALLAH.

To this unwise attempt by our President to challenge the ALMIGHTY, ALLAH has more than one choice of ways to respond.  He can simply allow such extreme stupidity to run its course and bring about the inevitable negative consequences that will accumulate due to the community of nations becoming increasingly fed up with the arrogance and presumption of this nation.  Thus, these irritated nations will inevitably discover ways to make us pay for our offenses against both GOD and humanity. Or, GOD can as He already has, raise up many voices to publicly expose the extreme folly of the U.S. government during this relatively brief time period of being led by virtual clowns masquerading as statesmen.  If, in the unlikely event that in response to these public voices of exposure, there is deep governmental repentance, impeachment and national repentance for the Bush Administration’s crimes against humanity, holy judgment may be averted.

But the certain bottom line is this:  In the natural course of historical events, when the self appointed punisher of evil commits more evil in the process of punishing evil, than what the original committer of evil committed, then the punisher has totally lost the moral high ground that he may have originally possessed.  Furthermore, any claims by the self-proclaimed punisher of being the person or nation who represents good, have been flushed into life’s septic tank.  Therefore, the original punisher, unwisely albeit unintentionally, has placed himself and his nation in the position of potentially facing the wrath and judgment of the Living GOD. That wrath may reveal itself in various combinations of many potential forms.  It could be through cataclysmic terrorist attacks, through extreme economic set backs, through acts of nature such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, fires etc., through uncontrollable outbreaks of disease, through an actual war using advanced military weapons or an economic war involving a coalition of countries, through a dramatic cut off of the oil supply, or it could be as previously suggested, a gradual increase in a devastating combination of most or all of the above.

Very possibly in the U.S.’ situation, that punishment could take the form of a dramatic world shaking shift in who controls the world’s main oil supplies, thus tumbling the U.S. from its present position of being the world dominant superpower. For instance, if the Shi’a in Iraq (60-65%), in Bahrain (71%), in Kuwait (30%), in the UAE (16%), in Iran (89%), and in oil rich Eastern Saudi Arabia which is mostly Shi’a, were to cooperate together to unitedly rebel again U.S. hegemony and by also linking with Asian nations including China to control the world’s oil flow, that would result in a dramatic major world power shift. Thus, the U.S. would quickly descend from being the world’s major economic, military and political leader. Therefore, American’s standard of living would quickly skid down hill.

The ominous point is this.  A mighty but vulnerable nation such as the U.S. must practice prudent restraint in deciding that it is itself so good that the ALMIGHTY has chosen to use it to preemptively attack, without true justification, a strategic, oil rich, innocent, sovereign predominantly Muslim nation which had previously done the U.S. no harm.  Neither did that nation have direct involvement with the terror network, which had maliciously brought great cruelty and death to about 3,000 innocent victims in the U.S.

Concerning those lost in space, (such as Charles Krauthammer) neoconservative intellectuals who write pompous essays, which totally ignore the reality of the Living GOD’s existence, such men must be exposed. They callously proclaim that the suffering of all persons involved in the U.S. war with the people of the sovereign nation of Iraq, has been worth the cost in blood and suffering because the U.S. could not have adequately predicted the extent of the potential devastation and suffering this unpredictable Iraqi leader might have done in the unknown future to the continental U.S.  Nor could we have predicted what he may have decided to do to our Democratic ally Israel or to the Persian Gulf oil supply.  Such twisted, self-serving justification for a bloody invasion and a more bloody occupation may satisfy a significant percentage of U.S. Christians.  However, this kind of con job is nothing but rotten garbage (zabali) to the Just GOD in whom these particular Christians claim to believe.  This kind of reasoning is so fallacious that I will not attempt to add to the valid criticism already made by numerous rational and moral scholars.

Nevertheless, since it is true that the prone to evil leader in Iraq was directly responsible for inhumane crimes against the people of Iraq, and had the potential to bring much suffering to the region including potential devastation to Israel, a rational case can be made for the U.S. to have been involved in his removal.  Consequently, I will present a truly rational alternative by a scholarly Israeli Professor about how his removal could have and should have been done.  But the Israeli Professor’s proposal is in major contrast to the devastation, chaos, suffering and bloodshed that the emotionally sick Bush regime has brought to the people of Iraq.

It must be realized that such a common sense alternative could not have come from the ideologically driven Bush Administration because its men had a grand design for the nation of Iraq, as well as the entire Middle East which was quite beyond the welfare of one nation.  But such a plan as that presented by a wise Israeli Professor could have been presented to the Bush Administration and quite possibly was, from a number of realistic conservative thinkers such as Fareed Zakaria.

The Professor’s particular proposal was included in an essay by Robert Ellsworth and Deetri Simes entitled “Realisms Shining Morality” printed in Rosen’s helpful book.  These two scholars had received this common sense, non-ideological proposal from Professor Shlomo Avineri, of Jerusalem’s Hebrew University.

“He has observed, what is currently going on in Iraq is not the war that the U.S. led coalition had in mind when the decision was made to topple Saddam Hussein.  The U.S. could have rid Iraq of Saddam and his most notorious associates without turning the whole country upside down.  America could have made it clear from the start that Washington had no ambitions in Iraq beyond removing the threat and co-opted the U.N. and the Arab League to create a provisional post-Saddam government.  It would have been possible to communicate to less-discredited members of the old regime- first and foremost the military command that in return to coming clean on Iraq’s programs to develop weapons of mass destruction, cooperating with coalition forces, introducing the rule of law, and accepting a board-based transitional government that would incorporate Iraqi exiles (and here one could have envisaged Prime Minister Iyad Allawi playing a key role), they could retain some degree of influence in the new Iraq.  Additionally, Iraq’s neighbors, none of them friends of Saddam, could have been assured that they had nothing to worry from the American military presence on their borders, as long as they did not attempt to obstruct a U.S. occupation that their benign attitude could help us to make shorter.”

As realistic, appropriate and wise as this plan by the Professor would have been, as previously mentioned, it would have been impossible for the ideologically driven neoconservative Bush administration to accept such a realistic plan. Not only did they have a grand design for the modification of the entire Middle East, and despite their vociferous denials that they do not have their eyes upon Iraq’s considerable reserves of oil, they did and still do covet Iraq’s considerable oil reserves.  Regrettably, the virtual self-interest driven clowns who were leading the Bush rush to rape Iraq, had no time to waste on such a wise plan as that advanced by the Jerusalem Professor. Ultimately it may be every day American citizens who will pay a greater cost for both the ignorance and the arrogance of the severally myopic Bush Regime than that paid by even the innocent, exploited and murdered Iraqi people.

In concluding this paper I will discuss two other, beyond the natural experiences, which occurred to me in addition to the two words, “publicly mock” floating to my eyes, which seem to characterize our President’s treatment of ALLAH’s still living Messiah.  Significantly, these other two experiences also confirm the President’s emphasis of GOD not being neutral.  Significantly, all three of these beyond the natural experiences involved either the first or the second President Bush; one experience for the first Bush and two for the second.  Each occurred in Seattle, Washington during a fourteen-year time frame between September 1990 to October of 2004, just before the second Bush junior election.

The first happened on 20^th Street NE near our long time home in the University District; only three blocks form the University of Washington.  The next on Easter Sunday morning, in 1996 inside our long time Plymouth Brethren church in the northern part of Seattle, next to Burger King on 15^th NE.  The most recent experience occurred inside our apartment near my place of employment as a high school head counselor at Marshall Alternative High School, near Greenlake.

The first shocking experience occurred during the senior Bush Administration, a few weeks after Iraq had invaded Kuwait.  My wife and I had attended the first University of Washington football game two or three weeks after the invasion.  It turned out to be significant that the new season’s football team was under the leadership of a new quarterback, the now long time NFL veteran quarterback, Mark Brunell. (He only recently set a new NFL consecutive pass completion record of 22 successful passes in a row.)

In the days following the supposedly surprise invasion, I was quite worried about the possibility of U.S. bombers bombing the Iraqi soldiers inside the borders of Kuwait before Secretary of State, James Baker could conduct serious negotiations for their withdrawal.  Consequently, I was on a prolonged individual prayer walk near our University District home, pleading with ALLAH that He would prevent such a waste of human life from occurring if we started bombing the Iraqi army.  After about an hour or so of sincere prayer about the dreadful possibility of so much needless death, to vulnerable Iraqi soldier human beings that I told God that I was too emotionally exhausted to pray anymore and that I would resume prayer the next day.

After totally stopping the prayer, I consciously asked myself what I could think about in order to get my mind off the horrible prospect of U.S. air power killing thousands of vulnerable Iraqi soldiers through a concentrated aerial bombardment.

Since my wife and I had only recently attended the first “Husky” football game of the new season I quickly decided that I would get my mind off needless death by thinking about whether Mark Brunell was a good enough quarterback to be able to lead the Husky Football Team to the “Rose Bowl” in Pasadena California that year.  Within a minute or so of beginning to concentrate on that question, my mind was shocked by an abrupt interruption to my thoughts. Suddenly a voice inside my mind made a concise proclamation to me that had nothing to do with football.  Plus, it was something that had never before entered my mind.  It was: “The American Administration wanted (or planned for?) Iraq to invade Kuwait”.

After this surprise interruption to my thinking took place, I immediately stopped walking, quietly laughed to myself and asked aloud, “Where did that come from?”  In the days after the experience I soon became aware that three different State Department Officials had each made three separate brief public announcements that the U.S. had “no plans to defend Kuwait”.  Therefore, I became quite aware for the first time that the U.S. government that I so explicitly trusted since I was a loyal Navy veteran, would use clever deception in order to accomplish its geopolitical ambitions, especially in the Muslim Middle East. (Much more is said about this subject in other papers on this website).

My second beyond the natural experience occurred several years later on Easter Sunday morning at the same Plymouth Brethren Church where my now deceased wife and I had been married in 1956.  Once again the experience caught me entirely by surprise.  While sitting quietly among about eighty people at the “Lords Supper”, I fell into a light sleep for a few minutes.  Then in quick succession, I had three separate visions with the first vision being divided into two parts.  Both the first and the second visions related to the people of the Muslim world coming to understand two verses in the Quran about the Messiah Jesus/Isa in a new, modified way. Instead of tens of millions of Muslims continuing to believe in a Messiah whom ALLAH had deceptively assisted to avoid death, he became a victorious Messiah who ALLAH supernaturally empowered to conquer death.

However, it was the third vision which once again contained an unmistakable President Bush theme.  This time the theme had to do with the younger Bush representing the U.S. in being abruptly uprooted from its unwelcome involvement in the Straight Path of Islam.

The third vision revealed to me an exceptionally straight section of road.  But as I observed the road there were no distractions on the road at all except for one obvious exception.  Toward the south end of the road, just inside its eastern edge, one green isolated bush somewhat shaped like a short Christmas tree, had broken through the surface of the road and was growing there.  It was not growing beside the road but was located within the road.  Almost immediately after the small green bush had caught my attention, an extremely mighty invisible force suddenly began advancing from the opposite end of the straight road from where the green bush had broken through, The tremendous force violently began rapidly peeling the road up into the air with the side of the road being able to show virtually no resistance to the ripping up of its edge. The peeling action literally rushed toward the green bush.  It was as though a sharp but invisible peeler was rapidly peeling the skin from an apple.  My emotions could almost feel the violence of what was occurring to the edge of the road. My protective instincts caused me to quickly be concerned for the welfare of the bush, like you feel when you suddenly see an unaware goat or a sheep that is about to be hit by a speeding large truck.  There was no time for contemplation as the peeling of the edge of the road was occurring with great rapidity and unless the small green bush had an exceptionally deep root system, it was obviously going to be suddenly uprooted by the invisible, mighty force.

At the very instant before the bush would have been violently uprooted, the vision was over and I awakened.  I embarrassingly looked around to see how many people had noticed me sleeping as we were seated facing each other where several persons could have noticed that I had been asleep.  I was quite relieved that no one appeared to have noticed.

Though the three visions had each been quite clear and each distinct from the other, they seemed to have occurred in quite rapid succession.  In fact, I would guess that in total they did not last more than three minutes and perhaps for an even shorter time.

Because there was no Bush President at the time, and the George W. Bush name was not yet being publicly discussed as being a future President, I wrongly concluded in my initial interpretation of the third vision that the bush that I had seen had actually not been a bush, but a small tree.  Despite this misinterpretation, within seconds after I awoke there was absolutely no doubt in my mind that the section of very straight road that I had seen had represented the “straight path” or straight road of Islam.  This strong conviction that the Straight Road represented Islam was due to three factors.  The first factor was that there was no doubt in my mind at all that the first two visions in the sequence were about Islam. Both revealed a significant portion of Islam coming to a fresh understanding of especially the one verse in the Holy Quran, which appears to be absolute in teaching that the Messiah had definitely not been crucified.  So virtually all Muslims are 100% convinced that the Quran’s overwhelming intention is that all Muslims stand united against the death of the Messiah.  And of course, if there had been no death, as the Christians are certain that there had been, then there was no glorious resurrection as the Christians also are certain that there was.  Therefore, since the first two visions related to this modification in Islam of now accepting the death and resurrection, it made sense that the third vision was also relating to Islam experiencing some type of positive breakthrough, such as expelling a no longer welcome occupying force. 

Secondly, the Quran itself speaks of Islam as the Straight Path and the narrow extremely straight road in the third vision certainly fit the symbolism of a “straight path”.

In at least American English the color green is used as a term to conotate extreme inexperience, which would be quite accurate in describing the totally inexperienced Bush’s ventures into both the affairs of Islam and into foreign affairs in the Middle East.  But when he combined both his inexperience in foreign affairs and his unwelcome, arrogant interference in both the political and religious affairs of predominantly Muslim Iraq, the outcome predictably has been disastrous. Most of the Iraqi citizens of slightly differing religious persuasions and a majority of the Muslims of the Middle East soon became quite upset about the arrogant Bush’s political, religious and military interference in the Mid East and especially in Iraq.  So now most want to see American military power and American religious and political interference expelled.  But the raw military and economic power of the U.S. would make such an expulsion difficult to accomplish without unexpected but welcome intervention from ALLAH.

This inability to expel the powerful but no longer welcome U.S. is before GOD’s direct involvement in the expulsion is factored into the consideration.  When you consider GOD’s extreme displeasure with America’s attitude and actions, the whole power balance changes.  For the same ALLAH who used His great might and great power to create the world, also employed the same might and same power to raise his anointed Messiah from death three days after his brutal, manipulated execution by the evil Israeli religious apparatus.

Significantly, I decided that because these visions occurred on Easter Sunday morning, which is the one specific day which symbolizes the wonderful empowerment by ALLAH for His Messiah to triumph over death, it was ALLAH’s definite intention that I personally take these visions which emphasize His great power, very seriously.  Therefore, on this day which represents ALLAH empowering life to triumph over death, my first two visions revealed to Islam that He wanted Islam to more emphatically appreciate this principle of life triumphing over death.  That is, that ALLAH had definitely not aided His Messiah to avoid death at the hands of angry, confused Israeli leaders to whom He, Himself had granted the temporary power to temporarily end his Messiah’s life.  No!  Instead ALLAH wanted all of Islam to know that He had a more magnificent plan than to cleverly deceive the rebellious Israeli leadership.  His superior plan was to simultaneously empower His Messiah to defeat both the plans of the Israeli leadership and also to totally defeat death.  So ALLAH’s precise plan was successfully accomplished when He empowered His totally lifeless Messiah to experience new life and to victoriously walk out of his tomb.

My visions on that Easter morning did not end with Islam’s new understanding of the validity of the death and resurrection of ALLAH’s Messiah. For His own sovereign reasons, ALLAH allowed this one insignificant High School counselor through the third vision, to have a further tiny peak into Islam’s future by revealing the Bush generated U.S. interference in Mid East Islam being expelled. I confess that I don’t fully understand what the narrow edge of the straight path of Islam represented that was suddenly peeled away by the powerful, invisible force.  But it was clear that the green bush, that I am convinced represents the Bush regime, would be uprooted in the possibly violent, rapid process.

Assuming that I am correct that the green bush symbolized the Bush led American political and military establishment rooting itself in the edge of Islam by mainly its invasion, occupation and attempted modification and control of the predominantly Islamic nation of Iraq, the following is what I think my third vision is telling us about the future.

Though the peeling back of the edge of the road representing Islam probably only took four or five seconds, in my vision, this could represent in real life, four or five months or longer. And the invisible force that ripped up the road’s edge could represent one factor or a combination of several different factors.  The one factor could prove to be sufficient unity finally occurring among the various sectarian factions in Iraq. This would create enough of a unified wide-spread “fed-up-ness” with the death and suffering generated by the Americans and a fed-up-ness with American arrogant interference in both Islamic affairs and in the running of the country, so that the Bush Administration would finally recognize the strength of the forces against it. Therefore, the Administration would expediently invent some type of face saving pretext. Thus, they would attempt to cut their losses as much as they can and run out of Iraq as fast as they can.

Another factor in the invisible force uprooting the U.S. from Iraq could be a ground swell of even greater fed-up-ness among the American people so that due to over whelming negative public opinion and a decisive eroding of political support, the Bush regime has no other alternative but to escape from Iraq, but possibly also to leave other parts of the Middle East.  Another potential force that could culminate in the uprooting of the Bush military and political involvement in Islam and the Middle East, may be regarding America’s highly resented unbalanced support of Israel’s aggression.  There may soon come a time when the people in multitudes of Arab streets will erupt over Israel’s killing of multitudes of innocent people in their disproportionate reprisals against the Palestinians, and against both Lebanon and Syria. But also, the resentment toward what is occurring in Iraq could combine with the resentment toward what Israel has done against both the Palestinians and the Lebanese.

No matter whether or not I have totally missed on what the source of the power that will peel away an edge of Islam that will culminate in uprooting the Bush Administration’s involving itself both politically and militarily in Islam and the Middle East, I don’t know.  Perhaps, even the peeling away of the edge of the straight road doesn’t mean an actual permanent peeling away. Rather, perhaps it is only intended to predict a violent large force within Islam that would uproot the American Administration from continuing to root itself in a part of Islam.

Although I was both taken by surprise and astonished as I observed the sudden peeling back of the straight road begin happening and was alarmed to watch the mighty force rushing at the location of the isolated, vulnerable bush, the action could have taken slightly longer then my earlier estimate of three or four seconds.  Nevertheless, while it was occurring I had the distinct impression that no matter what was the source of the enormous power, it was the mighty sovereign GOD/ALLAH who was in control of both what was happening to the edge of the road and the fact that the overwhelming force of what was occurring would inevitably uproot the bush. But I awoke an instant before the actual uprooting would have occurred.  Also, I had the definite sense and still have the sense that what I observed about the peeling away of an edge of the Straight Path of Islam had a definite connection with the two earlier visions which emphatically revealed a modification in understanding of at least two verses in the Quran so that much of Islam would give a more authoritative role to the Messiah whom ALLLAH empowered to conquer death rather than ALLAH aiding His Messiah to avoid death.  Consequently, I have had the lasting impression that the peeling away of an edge of Islam that I observed as it was about to uproot the isolated Bush, somehow was vitally linked with another significant process regarding Islam.  That is, when Islam more fully embraces ALLAH’s now living, empowered Messiah, there will most certainly be a decline within Islam of the resistance to the authority that ALLAH has given His anointed Messiah. Sadly, there has been until now, significant resistance in Islam to the authority His Messiah has been anointed to receive from ALLAH.

Whether this interpretation of the third vision is accurate, partially accurate or virtually totally in error, time will tell us.  Nevertheless, I remain convinced that it was ultimately the Will of ALLAH that was behind the sudden peeling and that the whole process was not good news for the Bush men’s plan to modify the Straight Path of Islam in the Middle East. Nor was it good news for the Neo-conservative driven plan to reshape the nations of the Mid East.  Considering the fact that the Easter resurrection day on which these visions occurred is the special day of celebrating life and light triumphing over death and darkness, it was quite fitting that the third vision apparently revealed the darkness and death brought to the Islamic Middle East by the Bush regime being totally defeated by glorious life and light from ALLAH.  For following the two new light and new life visions for Islam, the third vision was a vivid symbolic representation of an aggressive, mighty messenger of darkness and death being forcefully but graciously removed from the Straight Path of Islam.

Conclusion - The Supernatural

This paper has included my sometimes awkward effort to weave together two widely different but broadly overlapping sources of impact on my own thinking regarding the current American President, George W. Bush.  Sadly to say, both of these major impacts have had negative overtones.  The first series of impacts were what I have characterized as being supernatural experiences.  The second series of negative impacts is from the content I have read in books, magazines and newspapers and watched on TV.

The first of my three beyond nature events concerned deceit by the Bush father regarding Iraq.  Then my second and third supernatural events concerned behavior by the current President Bush in Iraq which has been highly offensive to ALLAH. Consequently, the first vision about the second Bush revealed a future decisive interruption in Bush plans to be involved in altering the role of Islam in the Middle East by political and military coercion.

I most certainly did not intend to experience any of the three supernatural visions, nor did I seek them.  However, after the visions occurred I could not help but attempt to rationally integrate their content into both my theological understanding of GOD’s purposes in the world and in the Middle East and also to integrate those military and political events that I constantly observe around me and read about, with the visions I experienced.

The Cerebral

There are certain subjects that I have great difficulty forcing myself to think about and other subjects that I virtually cannot prevent myself from thinking about.  For instance, highly cerebral subjects such as Chemistry, Algebra and mechanical information, I find exceptionally easy to avoid as well as hard to understand.  However, when it comes to issues such as whether my nation is helping other people and nations or hurting them, I have great trouble in not continuously considering these subjects.  This has especially been the case since 1990 when the authoritative voice from above abruptly interrupted my thinking about football and concisely announced to me:

“The American Administration wanted Iraq to invade Kuwait”

Since that time it has been like I have been personally visited with a responsibility from GOD to listen to not only what my government is telling me but then to read between the lines and try to determine if reality is even close to what I am being told by especially the deceptive Bush Administration. (In my mind, mostly what you saw is what you got with the Clinton Administration except for the one lustful interlude.)

Since arriving in Amman, Jordan in mid June (2006), I have had considerably more time to read and evaluate certain written material regarding my President that I did not have the time to evaluate while I was still working part time as a vocational counselor in Seattle. The conclusions that I have come to since reading the essays of generally considered conservative writers who contributed their thoughts and opinions to Gary Rosen’s 1995 book, “The Right War”, have not been pleasant.

My conclusions relate to basically two areas. 

My own extrapolations of what I think the Bush Doctrine really means for other nations, especially for other Middle Eastern nations and specifically for Iraq.

The implications of what will ultimately occur to the U.S. because of our President’s superficial understanding of what it means that “God is not neutral” and for good (the U.S.) to be fighting evil (other nations and groups.)

In both cases my conclusions have almost terrified me. Additionally, I found some of the rationale by certain authors of why the Iraq war is supposedly the right war, to be superficial and self-interest based, similar to my President’s. distorted rationale, which has been exceptionally frightening and overwhelmingly disappointing.  So my conclusions about whether the Iraq War is the Right War are these:  The answer depends on our perspective.  If we are operating on the assumption that GOD is testing the militarily and economically powerful nation of the U.S. to have us find out for ourselves whether we can be trusted to use our unpopular position of unparalleled might in a humane and responsible way, this is definitely the right war. For this war has dramatically and unequivocally revealed that the U.S. of America has miserably failed the test of whether we can be trusted to use our great power wisely and humanely. 

On the other side of the coin, if our question is whether this is the right war to advance world stability, decrease the threat from terror and make the U.S. more stable for our children when they become tomorrow’s adults, we have our decisive answer of No!  This war has definitely made America and the Middle East’s future exceedingly more problematic. 

My conviction is that GOD, for his own unknown reasons has given this intellectually limited, unknown person at least three supernatural visions which each relate to the horrible predicament that our two Bush Presidents manipulated for both the Iraqi people and the American people. Of course you may be exceptionally skeptical about my experiencing any supernatural visions.  Also, if you totally doubt my conclusion about the wickedness of our present President’s policies, I totally agree with your legitimate skepticism of my extreme conclusions.  But I do have these final two requests and one last question:

When evaluating whether this President Bush is following the morally correct path, please attempt to determine what you think ALLAH’s perspective is on the rivers of innocent blood currently flowing in Iraq because of the U.S. President’s decision to invade, occupy, manipulate and forcefully attempt to democratize.

Please reflect carefully on whether you think that a living Messiah who ALLAH empowered to defeat death would be more beneficial to our wounded world than a still living Messiah whom ALLAH two thousand years ago assisted in deceiving Jewish leaders so that His Messiah could deceptively avoid death and be willing to allow another person to be crucified instead of him?

My last question is:  Which of these two potential Messiahs do you consider to be most honoring to the Holy Quran?  ALLAH’s Messiah who He, Himself assisted to deceptively avoid death or His Messiah who He wonderfully empowered to courageously defeat death?

Again, whether I have interpreted my own supernatural encounters entirely accurately, or whether I have come to the correct conclusions from my reading, listening and observations, only time will tell. But I personally will be exceptionally surprised if some time in the next 26 months, while President Bush is still President, we do not see some kind of extreme pressure cause the Bush regime to fairly urgently exit at least Iraq. 

How soon the increased welcome of ALLAH’s still living Messiah into Islam will be, I will make no predictions.  But I am now 73 years old and have only about eight years left on my artificial heart valve.  Nevertheless, I truly expect ALLAH to allow me to enjoy at least three or four years of the strong beginnings of a fresh understanding in Islam of ALLAH’s Messiah victoriously defeating death rather than secretly escaping death.

And where does that journey begin in order to recognize the authority ALLAH has given His Risen Messiah? It begins on the Straight Path of Islam in the Holy Quran. It is in Islam’s own Holy Book that the foundation has been laid by many verses in various surah that make clear that ALLAH has made His Messiah not only eminent in the especially significant next world but in this eminent world as well. (Surat Al-Imran 3:45)

Al-Imran 3:55 – Those who follow him are superior to those who disbelieve him.

Al-Imran 3:55, An Nisa 4:158 – He was wonderfully raised to be with ALLAH, by ALLAH’s Wisdom and Might.

Al-Baqarah 2:253 - Uniquely he was given by ALLAH clear proof and evidences as well as being uniquely supported by His Ruh-ul-Qudas (Holy Spirit) which the Quran states that ALLAH gave to him at the same time that the Quran is also speaking of how ALLAH prefers some messengers to others is the context in which this verse attributes these wonderful, unique honors to the Messiah.

Surat Al-Imran 3:48 – He received unique instruction from ALLAH in the Book, in the Hikmah (Wisdom) in the Taurat (Torah) and in the Injeel (Gopsel)

Surat Al Imran 3:49 – He received special authority and empowerment from ALLAH to heal persons who had been born blind – to heal lepers, and by ALLAH’s empowerment, to even raise the dead.

Surat AL Imran 3:50 – He was given a unique sign from ALLAH to confirm that he was to instruct the “Children of Israel” to obey him. But they did not obey him. And to this day most of the Children of Israel still do not obey him.

Surat AL Imran 3:45 – In the same verse that announces that ALLAH’s Messiah will be held in honor in two world’s, the Here and the Hereafter, ALLAH’s angels announced that ALLAH had given Maryam  the wonderful glad tidings of Isa/Jesus being “Word” (Kalama) from ALLAH. This title of “word” for the “faultless” baby the virgin Maryam was to bear, may most certainly be understood to confirm the gospel of John’s teaching; that the Messiah was ALLAH’s Word that was made flesh to dwell among us. This understanding of the Messiah being ALLAH’s Word that Mary would bring to the world totally in Spirit agrees with the Quran’s emphatic teaching that the Quran itself confirms the Scriptures that preceeded it.

Al-Imran 3:54 – Because of Israel’s unique and single minded plot to kill Isa (Jesus), the Quran makes clear that ALLAH Himself wonderfully intervened, empowering His good plan to totally defeat their evil plans. (He allowed them to think that they had won. But He raised Him up to Himself three days after they had arrogantly but wrongly conjectured that it would be safe to announce the same lie that George Bush foolishly announced twenty (20) centuries later:

“M I S S I O N  A C C O M P L I S H E D!”

So, for the sake of His unique Messiah, ALLAH revealed that He, Himself was a much better plotter and planner than all of the leaders of Israel.

Maryam 19:21 – ALLAH made a unique decree that His own Messiah would not only be a Sign for all of Mankind but that he would be the expression of ALLAH’s Mercy to all of mankind.

Maryam 19:30 – The Messiah was not only a unique Servant of ALLAH but he was also uniquely given by ALLAH the Scriptures but additionally was made by ALLAH to be Prophet.

Isa/Jesus was not only the one unique person for whom the honored title of Messiah was bestowed upon. But that honored title was used by the Holy Quran for him eleven (11) times.

Yunis 10:3, Maryam 19:87, Ta’ha 20:109 – The Quran makes it abundantly clear that only the one who fulfills each of ALLAH’s conditions will be allowed to be the Intercessor. From everything written about the Messiah in the Quran, ALLAH’s Messiah is the only one who fulfills the requirements such as his words always being acceptable to ALLAH.

Al-Fajr 89:22 – The Quran makes clear that it is the Messiah who is spoken of as the Lord coming with Angels to Judge. There are two strong reasons why it is certain that it is the Messiah who here is being spoken of as Lord.

This verse is quite similar to several different verses in the previous Scriptures about the Messiah coming to Judge. (See Old Testament –Zecharaiah 14:5 – New Testament – Jude 14, 15.)

The Quran’s verse states: “And your Lord comes…” The word “Lord” as used in this statement cannot be referring to ALLAH. This is definitely true because all respected Islamic theologians agree that ALLAH fills the universe. Therefore ALLAH cannot be described as moving from place to place such as the word, “comes” clearly conatates. Consequently, the verse in the Quran is emphatic in declaring that it is the Messiah who comes to Judge as the previous Scriptures emphatically confirm.
