Peace From the Holy Quran

A Powerful Sign For Shi’a and Sunnis

The Prophet Muhammad through one key word in the Holy Quran has left a bright legacy of potential peace for the predominantly Muslim Middle East. Significantly, this peace is in wonderful contrast to the doom and gloom so many are predicting for Middle East Muslims in the period after the U.S. invasion and bloody occupation of Iraq. So this peace from ALLAH will be well beyond what the U.S. promised but failed to deliver. However, this peace may only be achieved when and if Muslims consider seriously the wonderful implications of two similar and unique verses in the Quran. And these two verses are about the special peace ALLAH graciously bestowed upon two of His Prophets who are repeatedly mentioned in the Quran’s pages.

However, if Muslims are too busy fighting, killing and disagreeing to give serious consideration to these two unique verse’s wonderful implications, both Sunni and Shi’a Muslims will miss a glorious opportunity to experience ALLAH’s available peace and reconciliation. Therefore, if this opportunity is ignored, multitudes of sincere Muslims may continue to sink in their chosen quick sand of competition, resentment, hate and even murder.

The two unique but too often ignored Prophets who hold the keys to the door of peace in the Mid East are the Prophet Yahya and the Prophet to whom he faithfully pointed, the Prophet Isa/Jesus. The one unique and similar verse which is dedicated to each of these Prophets is emphatic. Blessed peace permeated each of their lives. Significant also is the fact that this peace continued with them from the very day of their miraculous births to the day of their quite different resurrections. (Please see Surat Maryam 19:15, 33 and also 34.)

So through the anointing of peace that ALLAH has uniquely bestowed on each of them, all Muslim brothers can share in this peace so that Sunni and Shi’a brothers can experience peace and reconciliation with each other. So they will replace hate and revenge with love and forgiveness.

O Muslims, please consider prayerfully and carefully the implications of each of these two Prophet’s unique births. When you do, I sincerely ask you these relevant questions. Did not the Holy Quran have a significant purpose in so strongly emphasizing the miraculous circumstances of the births of both of these sincere Prophets?

The Holy Quran emphasizes that the mother of Yayha was a very old woman and her husband Zakariya was an even older, very old man. Yet his aging body was able to cause her to become pregnant. Then her aging body was able to give birth to a vibrantly healthy Yahya. And even more miraculous, the Holy Quran teaches us that Maryam was a virgin when she became pregnant with the “faultless” one that the Quran 11 (eleven) times calls Messiah.

Also, didn’t ALLAH specifically intend that each of these special born Prophets would make an especially significant contribution to all Muslims? They would both be a wonderful encouragement to every Muslim, no matter what their differences, and that these two amazing men would provide a practical incentive for sincere peace between each and every Muslim brother, whether they are Shi’a or Sunni? So these two Prophet’s miraculous births definitely were ALLAH’s vivid signs to all Muslims: The peace that these two Prophets encourage Muslims to experience has its source in ALLAH just as their unique births definitely had ALLAH as their source. So if Muslims look to ALLAH as their source of peace between each other and not to horrible circumstances, the opportunity for miraculous peace is available. But the spiritual resource is the key because without ALLAH, hate, revenge and murder will win.

“So peace (salam) is on me The Day I was born

The day that I die and The Day that I

Shall be raised up to life.”

Such (was) Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam, a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute). Maryam 19:33, 34.

“And the Light/Nur shines in the Darkness,”

(The Light being ALLAH’s Risen Messiah) (The Darkness Being The Death, Suffering and Hopelessness Generated by the Bush Administration in Iraq as Well as The Murdering, Hate and Mutilation of Sunni Muslim brother against Shi’a Muslim Brother and the opposite.)

“And the Darkness cannot overcome the Light.” John 1:5-Injeel.

The Miracles and Signs of Isa/Jesus

Are in the Holy Quran For A Reason

O Muslims, please realize that ALLAH’s great desire for you is that you discontinue your strong unwise de-emphasis on the amazing miraculous signs that the Holy Quran records that He has accomplished through His servants. The Quran records many virtues of many Prophets including extolling the faithful leadership and amazing statesmanship of His faithful Prophet Muhammad. But largely ignoring the wonderful encouragements, that the miraculous wonders of yesterday have for today, is indeed dishonoring to the Prophet Muhammad who faithfully recorded these wonders, is dishonoring to Islam and robs today’s Muslims of wonderful blessings.

Due to the only miraculous signs recorded in the Holy Quran being associated with the Virgin Maryam, the old and decrepit Zakariya, his aged wife and mother of Prophet Yahya, and the Prophet Isa/Jesus, all being prominent in the history of Christianity, is not an excuse that ALLAH accepts for ignoring these great miracles that came directly from ALLAH. They did not have man as there source. So they bring wonderful majd/glory to ALLAH and not to man.

For ALLAH to empower the old “decrepit” Zakariya to father Yahya with his aged wife (Maryam 19:8) to bear a healthy Yahya was indeed a miracle from ALLAH although it was not a major miracle. But the Virgin Maryam becoming pregnant with Isa/Jesus was a major miracle.

Thus, with the amazing foundation of the Quran making it abundantly clear that Isa/Jesus, a “Word” from ALLAH, was miraculously born with no man being involved, it is no wonder that the Quran gives such prominence to his amazing miracles. The Quran also gives prominence to other unique honors of the man whom the Quran eleven times highly honors by calling him the Messiah, meaning both Christ and Anointed.

So with these kind of credentials conferred on Isa/Jesus, the Messiah, from the Holy Quran, it is absolutely no surprise what the Quran makes clear. He is the only person in the entire Quran enabled by ALLAH to do miracle after miracle. That is, by ALLAH’s mighty power he raised the dead, he healed lepers and he gave sight to those born blind.

But there is another miracle surrounding this person who the Quran emphatically states is eminent not only in this world but will also be eminent in the next. And what is that amazing additional miracle? It is this. With all these wonderful revelations about Jesus/Isa in the Quran, the vast majority of Muslims virtually totally ignore the miraculous that ALLAH accomplished only through him. But this great mistake has largely been caused by his sometimes confused followers who are usually known as Christians. They appear to emphasize that if Muslims cannot recognize ALLAH’s anointed servant as Son of GOD, ALLAH’s wonderful Messiah is irrelevant and is relatively useless to Muslims.

But that is absolutely W R O N G! Because again and again ALLAH’s wonderful anointed servant healed people who had no idea that there would be a day when many would proclaim him to be “Son of GOD.” They just knew he was a wonderful servant from ALLAH who ALLAH had given power to heal again and again.

So please o Muslims. Your Quran does not proclaim him as Son of GOD. But the Quran emphatically proclaims him as ALLAH’s anointed healer. And the Quran also reveals that ALLAH raised him up to be alive in His presence. So obviously, he still has the same power to heal, to reconcile angry brothers and to forgive.

So please honor your Quran. Know that ALLAH was not playing games when he portrayed Isa/Jesus as His anointed servant who heals. He is the healer in the Quran for a reason. And he heals relationship as well as bodies. So please call on him. ALLAH has given him awesome power as the Quran emphatically reveals. So CALL ON him for peace, healing, reconciliation, and for power to forgive your brothers.
