A Burning Bush
State of the Union Metaphor

There is no way that the title of this brief poem is intended to ridicule the history impacting message spoken from a burning bush to the Prophet Moses so many centuries ago. In that unique circumstance the Eternal ALLAH commissioned Moses to deliver a severely oppressed people from cruel Egyptian bondage. The oppressed were even experiencing their male babies being murdered in a serious attempt to eliminate them as a race of people.

In contrast to the Eternal God speaking to Moses through a burning bush, this arrogant President has attempted to anoint himself to be a God-like Burning Bush. Thus, he arrogantly assumed that he had the authority as a divine bush to order his military to deliver the sometimes oppressed people of Iraq by massive bloodshed from bombs, bullets and brutality. I am not suggesting that this U.S. President is the anti-Christ. But I am stating that though this President claims to be born again, he appears to be very, very anti-risen Christ and anti-God.

Summary:
The bottom line regarding the George "Burning" Bush is this. Though he intended to anoint himself to be a sort of deity/deliverer who would order his military to deliver a severely oppressed people, he made a serious mistake in his anointing. Instead of anointing himself to be a deliverer of a people in bondage, he mistakenly anointed himself to be a virtual metaphor of a cruel oppressor, the brutal, infamous, stubborn Egyptian Pharoah.

But we all know how God rewarded that ruler's stubborn resistance to God's ten shocking warnings. His military was destroyed at the Red Sea when he relentlessly pursued a truly oppressed people whose God ordained deliverance had been announced from the midst of the flames of a genuine Burning Bush.

In these two significant verses the Quran relevantly reveals the role that the Bush/Rumsfeld type of arrogance played in the totally unexpected destruction of the stubborn Egyptian Fir'oun's (Pharaoh) mighty military in the Red Sea.
