Animalistic Israeli TorturersThe Hebrew King Daoud/David was indeed a complex person. As a teenager he had such a pure devotion to honor GOD that he risked his life to do man to boy combat with a skilled military giant. But years later when he became king, his uncontrolled lust drove him to murder an innocent foreigner who would have gladly given his own life for his beloved King Daoud. A slingshot, a shepherd's stick and no defensive armor against a giant sword, an amour bearer and a giant wearing heavy amour. And the unprotected teenager with a rock, a stick and a slingshot won the man to boy combat. Yes! One rock felled the military giant. Before he could regain consciousness, the mere boy used the hardened army veteran's own sword to crudely separate his giant head from his giant body. But the young Daoud took no credit for his amazing victory. He gave all credit to His Beloved Living GOD. A Clintonian LustAs an adult King Daoud had not only a deep devotion to GOD but on at least one occasion was overwhelmed with a Clintonian lust for a beautiful woman. This lust landed him in a deep heap of trouble with both GOD and man and also with GOD's faithful Prophet Nathan. The stunningly attractive and cooperative woman was the wife of a faithful foreign lieutenant in King Daoud's military. So in this one tragic case, his total inability to control his lust ended up causing him to exercise considerable evil intrigue in murdering Lieutenant Uriah the Hittite, the beautiful Bathsheba's husband. After two failed attempts to make it appear that it had been the husband who was responsible for his wife's pregnancy, the panicked King deliberately but secretly arranged for his faithful Lieutenant to die in battle. He further lowered his standard of morality from adultery to murder in order to avoid a punishment far worse than a potential Clintonian impeachment. The penalty for adultery even for the King was for both he and his lover to be stoned to death. But in great mercy GOD led His courageous Prophet Nathan to privately inform the King of three alternative punishments, each of which would negatively affect the King's future and would bring he and his family considerable pain. Though Kind Daoud's sins at times were great, his deep love for GOD and his sincere repentance were also great. Therefore, because of his deep love for GOD and his always sincerely seeking forgiveness, GOD's Spirit moved in his heart in remarkable ways. In fact, the majority of the first forty-one Psalms and many other Psalms express Daoud's deep love and devotion to GOD. They also revealed his strong desire for others even in other nations to have a similar devotion to GOD. It is probably his 22nd Psalm, which is most remarkable due to its strongly prophetic element. Not only were parts of it quoted aloud by GOD's Messiah as he was being slowly executed. But verses in this Psalm also vividly and accurately describe events that actually occurred during the execution such as the soldiers gambling for his clothing and piercing him with a spear, as well as the exact words of some of the Jewish leaders who viciously mocked his relationship with GOD. This extreme cruelty occurred even while he was slowly dying in painful physical and spiritual agony. Animalistic TorturersYet, there is a mysterious quality in Psalm 22 that should deeply stir our emotions so that each of us will have a special appreciation of the full depth of the emotional anguish experienced by this man whom GOD himself anointed to be our Messiah. King Daoud portrays the deep agony that he endured as a direct result of the inhumane emotional and physical abuse he received from the hands and hearts of those who should have loved and respected him. But instead of the respect they owed him as GOD's Messiah, they viciously became animalistic in their torture and cruel mocking of him. This mysterious quality was expressed through a unique series of predictive metaphors written by the King at a time over 1000 years before the Messiah's actual barbaric, torturous execution. So these metaphors are exceptionally valuable in helping us understand the depth of the visceral hate these enraged, jealous Jewish leaders had for the Messiah whom ALLAH himself had sent into His world to be of benefit to all of the world's people. Thus, in a very ominous sense the very leaders of Israel were explicitly hating ALLAH Himself by hating His anointed messenger. The amazing Psalm 22 even predicts the actual words of the cruel mocking by Jewish leaders. But the Psalm also includes explicit details of the physical agony of a person being executed on a Roman cross. For example, the Psalm portrays how all of his strength was gone like water poured on the ground, the acute pain of his bones being out of joint, his tongue sticking to the roof of his mouth and his throat being as dry as dust. But then the Prophet Daoud also includes tragic interludes when the tortured Messiah no longer views his torturers as human beings but as animals. For what other explanation is there for men who are supposedly human beings finding great joy in intently watching and cruelly mocking a totally innocent fellow human being as he slowly dies a physically, psychologically and spiritually agonizing death. I believe it is relevant, in this portrayal of the Messiah's torture and execution, to make a comparison with the mostly Iraqi prisoners who were brutally and humiliatingly tortured by American soldiers and CIA officials with the shameful permission of America's highest officials. This inhumane torture by U.S. authorities occurred not only at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay but also at various secret rendition points around the world. This variety of victims, many of whom were innocent Muslim Arabs from a variety of nations must have experienced physical and mental anguish so severe that they also no longer viewed their tormentors and torturers as human beings. Instead, the tortured prisoners came to view their tormentors as having become transformed into hungry, ravenous animals, possibly as a pack of virtually starving wolves or as poisonous venomous snakes constantly biting them. For how could human beings treat other human beings in such venomous animalistic ways if they had not temporarily transformed themselves into animals or snakes? And so it was for Daoud's predictions about the inhumane treatment of the future man who would come to be known as the Messiah, the term which the Holy Quran uses to refer to him eleven times. So the deeply spiritual and highly contemplative King Daoud pondered a period centuries in the future when a mysterious Messiah figure would be rejected and ruthlessly tortured and humiliatingly murdered by Israel's leaders who Psalm 22 portrays as having degenerated to the degree that they took on animal-like qualities. They virtually stalked and devoured their prey even though their victim was their very GOD sent Messiah. But it is the exception that even an animal enjoys taunting and prolonging the extreme agony of its victim. So in a sense these leaders exhibited the worst behavior of even the animal kingdom, so great was their hate of both ALLAH and His anointed Messiah. But in the Prophet Daoud's spirit inspired imagination, one attack animal was insufficient to capture the depth of the hostility of rebellious man toward GOD's Representative. So he first describes not just the Messiah visualizing his enemies as bulls surrounding him. But they were especially fierce bulls, the kind for which the land of Bashan had become famous. Loud roaring lions opening wide their mouths were also visualized in his mind as constantly tearing at him. The Messiah described the gang of evil men surrounding him as a pack of dogs who were evilly encircling him. But even though he began the Psalm with the words that he was forsaken and was being treated as a worm and not as a man, he courageously remained steadfast in his trust in GOD. For even though he had cried out that he was forsaken, still he trusted GOD for deliverance “from the power of the dogs,” for rescue from the “mouth of the lions,” to be saved from the “horns of the wild oxen.” Thus, at the very darkest moment of the Psalm, it is suddenly revealed that all of the Messiah's prayers had been heard. Resurrection had occurred! Suddenly the Messiah is portrayed as victorious, once again praising GOD with GOD's people in the great assembly. His animalistic tormentors had been totally vanquished. By ALLAH's Wisdom and Might His Messiah had been raised up alive. (An Nisa 4:158) A Wrong DemandOf course I am aware that up until this moment, many Muslim leaders demand that all Muslims interpret one verse in the Quran in a rigid, literal way so that all Muslims are forced to believe that the Messiah endured no suffering, especially not the kind of intense suffering King Daoud portrayed the future Messiah as suffering. When Muslim leaders demand this rigid, literal anachronistic interpretation of one isolated verse in the Quran, they are placing themselves way out on a thin limb and are foolishly sawing the limb off behind them so that they will experience a heavy fall. It is as though all of these calloused leaders each view themselves as Dick Cheney clones. As Cheney clones they would have the raw audacity to think that they have the ALLAH-given right to gather all the emotionally and physically scarred victims of U.S. torture at all of the various places in the world where it repeatedly occurred, and put them all together in one giant banqueting hall and serve them all ice cream. The Dick Cheney MemoThen each of them would receive a Dick Cheney memo written in Arabic. Each personalized memo would explain that all of the scars that they may have on their bodies are the results of various accidents they each have had while they were sleep walking and did not occur during real torture, because no torture occurred. The memo would expertly and persuasively explain that the horrible memories that they each have of months or years of sleep deprivation and extensive torture are the result of psychological manipulation. Those horrible memories are due to intensive brainwashing they have been secretly subjected to by Islamist extremists who hate the U.S. for all the U.S. is sacrificially doing to help the Muslim people of the world to be free of coercive Islamic theology. Men and women of the Islamic world, if you can believe the Bull I have just written into the Cheney memo about prisoners not being tortured with the complicity of the U.S. government, you are also excused by ALLAH for believing all of the various Bull you are being forced to believe by various Islamist authorities about the Messiah not being temporarily killed when he was truly tortured and illegally executed. So if you are capable of believing that the Messiah did not experience temporary death in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and experience unbelievable suffering and torture and a slow agonizing execution, you are also certainly able to believe that no suffering occurred to Muslim Arab victims as a result of U.S. atrocities. But since you do know that Muslims have been tortured by the U.S., you must also realize that you now mock the very real suffering of the Messiah. For if you refuse to believe the truth about the suffering the Scriptures describe, you actually mock ALLAH's Messiah's suffering! And if you believe that your explaining away his intense suffering does not wound his heart, you do not understand what a tender heart your Messiah has. But I also assure you that if you are sincerely concerned about disobeying ALLAH if you do not believe that the Messiah did not suffer and was not killed, that there are papers on this web site which reasonably explain why verse An Nisa 4:157 states the strong phrases that it states even though the Messiah did temporarily die. And I also explain why I am certain that the Prophet Mohammad himself believed the Messiah died a temporary death before ALLAH raised him alive. (4:158) The Quran is exceedingly emphatic that the Quran confirms the teaching of the previous Scriptures. And it is those confirmed Scriptures which authoritatively teach again and again that the Messiah did indeed endure a torturous death at the hands of the Israelis who the Prophet Daoud did not hesitate to compare with a pack of dogs, roaring, tearing lions, strong bulls and wild oxen. In total he likened the immoral behaviour of the officials of Israel to enraged animals. In addition to the Jewish leaders undeniable animal behavior toward the prolonged torture that they forced their Messiah to endure virtually naked for several hours on the cross was indeed torture. Yes, it was torture even though it was long before there were any Geneva conventions to label it as torture. And for those who may have thought the Abu Ghraib torturers invented nakedness for humiliation, the Israeli leaders used it long before the American CIA used nakedness to humiliate. The Indefensible SummarySo in an extremely indefensible summary, what reasons do Muslims have to support the Messiah not being tortured, executed or killed?
Messiah's Suffering Brushed Off Like DandruffThough Islam claims to honor Jesus/Isa as a Prophet and Messiah, the leaders of their religion show absolutely no appreciation for the deep emotional, spiritual and physical anguish he endured as a result of the animal like treatment that Kind Daoud/David prophetically predicted would occur to him. Rather, they shamefully brush away all the suffering and torture he endured as casually as a teenager would brush away dandruff from his shoulders. It is fortunate for Muslim prisoners who have experienced horrible suffering at the hands of their American captors that calloused Muslim leaders have not also casually Bushed off, I mean brushed off their suffering and torture as one would casually brush off dandruff. The excuse that many Muslims use that ALLAH would never allow someone as good and pure as the Messiah to suffer at the hands of persons as evil as the Jews does not hold water. Because the issue is that ALLAH's Messiah did courageously endure physical, psychological and spiritual suffering but triumphed over all of the suffering when ALLAH raised him alive. That resurrection totally overshadowed the suffering. An Nisa 4:158 It is absolutely unfair and unwise that stuck in the past tradition and stuck in the mud confusion is forced on Muslims so that it prevents young Muslims from leading an Islamic world movement that expresses a mature appreciation for the suffering that the Messiah endured at the hands of certain religious leaders who personified wickedness. And for Muslim religous leaders to treat what the Messiah suffered as dandruff to be brushed away is also wicked. But our Wise and Mighty ALLAH who raised the Son of Maryam alive from death will never allow wickedness to triumph over Love, Light, Courage and Truth. back to "Late 2007 - 2010" page __________________________________________________________ _________________________________________ __________________________ _____________ |
