In the Bible - Jews Ate Their Own Children

In several conversations I have had with persons who consider themselves regular readers of the Bible, I have asked them the following question:

"Do you think that there are verses in the Old Testament Scripture which speak of Jews eating their own children and\or burning them to death while sacrificing them in fire to their idols?"

In answer to this question, a couple of persons have been familiar with a verse in Psalm 106 where the Jews sacrificed their sons and daughters to idols. But none of them had ever heard of the Jews eating their own children. They thought that I was inventing this disgusting idea and that it was not in the Bible.

The reason that I happened to watch for verses in the Old Testament that gave accounts of these depraved activities is this. If as the Muslims claim, the Jews have changed the Scriptures, then they would have most certainly removed or modified the isolated verses that honestly expose the Jews both eating their children and sacrificing them to idols in fires.

Yes, if I were an Arab living in the Middle East, or especially if I were a dispossessed Palestinian, I would be able to describe in detail crime after despicable crime that Israeli authorities have unjustly and callously carried out against Palestinians which have only a remote relation to any Palestinian's crimes against Israel or to be directly related to legitimate Israeli security issues.

Nevertheless, after countless hours of reading the Scriptures, the one crime that I am convinced that the Jews have not committed, is changing their Scriptures. For if they had purposely modified their scriptures, the humiliating and revealing verses that I will now quote about them both eating and murdering their own children would have been removed from the Hebrew Scriptures.

In the verses revealing cannibalism during attacks against Israel it must be noted that none of these verses reveal the type of cannibalism that is a free choice on the part of the parent where he or she would actually choose to eat their child. Rather, each of these unfortunate circumstances is the result of the normal food supplies being cut off. This occurred when God allowed foreign armies to be His instrument of judgment on the Hebrew people for their own evil depraved and rebellious activities.

1 - Prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 7:30, 31
"The people of Judah have done evil in my eyes, declares the Lord. They have set up their detestable idols in the house that bears my name and have defiled it. They have built the high places of Topheth in the valley of Ben Hinnom to burn their sons and daughters in the fire – something I did not command, nor did it enter my mind."

2 - Recorded by the Prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 19:9
"I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and daughters and they will eat one another's flesh during the stress of the siege imposed on them by the enemies who seek their lives."

3 - Prophet Jeremiah in Lamentations 2:20
"Look Oh Lord and consider: Whom have you treated like this? Should women eat their offspring, the children they have cared for?"

4 - Prophet Jeremiah in Lamentations 4:10
"With their own hands compassionate women have cooked their own children, who became their food when my people were destroyed."

5 - Recorded by the Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 9:20
"Each will feed on the flesh of his own offspring."

6 - Recorded by the Prophet Ezekiel. Ezekiel 5:10
"Therefore in your midst fathers will eat their children and children will eat their fathers."

7 - Recorded by the Prophet Ezekiel in Ezekiel 16:20 regarding Jerusalem
"And you took your sons daughters you had borne to me and sacrificed them as food to the idols."

8 - Recorded by the King's official recorder in II Kings 6:26-29
"As the king of Israel was passing the wall, a woman cried out to him 'Help me my lord the king!' The king replied, 'If the lord does not help you, where can I get help for you? What's the matter?' She answered, "This woman said to me, 'Give up your son so we may eat him today and tomorrow eat my son!' So we cooked my son and ate him." The next day I said to her 'Give up your son so we may eat him', but she had hidden him. When the king heard the woman's words he tore his robes."

Verses revealing even Hebrew kings burning to death their own children in offering them to Idols.

9 - II Chronicles 28:3 by the King's official recorder
"The King Ahaz of Judah" burned sacrifices in the valley of ben Hinnom and sacrificed his sons in the fire …"

10 - II Chronicles 33:6 by the King's official recorder
"He (King Manasseh of Judah) sacrificed his sons in the fire in the valley of Ben Hinnom."

11 - Recorded by the Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 57:5 regarding the Kingdom of Judah
"You sacrifice your children in the ravines and under the overhanging Craig's."

12 - Recorded by the Prophet Moses in the book of Deuteronomy 28:53-57
"Because of the suffering that your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you. Even the most sensitive man among you will have no compassion on his own brother or the wife he loves or his surviving children, and he will not give to one of them any of the flesh of his children that he is eating. It will be all he has left because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of your cities."

"The most gentle and sensitive woman among you – so sensitive and gentle that she would not venture to touch the ground with the sole of her foot – will begrudge the husband she loves and her own son and daughter the after birth from the womb and the children she bears. For she intends to eat them secretly during the siege and in the distress that your enemy will inflict on you in your cities."

13 - Recorded by the Prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 19:5
"They have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as offerings to Baal – something that I (God) did not command or mention nor did it enter my mind."

14 - Ezekiel 23:39
"On the very day they sacrificed their children to their idols, they entered my sanctuary and desecrated it. That is what they did in my house."

15 - Recorded in Psalm 106:37-38 by an unknown author
"They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons. They shed innocent blood of their sons and daughters whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan and the land was desecrated by their blood."

Please oh people of Islam! Keep in your minds these unpleasant relevant realities of Jewish behavior as you ponder the truth of the real message contained in An Nisa 4:157 and 158, regarding whether Jewish leaders did try to permanently murder Allah's Messiah and prevent Him from ever again having any major influence on the people of this world.

Isn't it becoming obvious that when these two verses are considered together, that when ALLAH raised his Messiah up alive, one of his purposes was to humiliate the Jews for being failures at murder? Thus, since ALLAH returned him to life it was as though he had figuratively never been killed or crucified which meant that his murderers were total failures.

And please factor in the following fact into your deliberations. According to Matthew, an author who wrote for especially the Jewish mind, these are his words in the unchanged Scriptures that are a quotation of the last request of the bloodthirsty Jewish mob regarding their attitude about their own responsibility for murdering the Messiah. And it is significant that they screamed their request to the Roman Emporer Pilate who sincerely had wanted to release the Messiah.

"Let the punishment for his death fall on us and our children." Mathew 27: 25 - modern translation.

Don't you realize what you are doing, oh Muslim leaders. By refusing to believe that they did actually murder him, you are going to great lengths to erase this mob's wish for their descendents, today's Jews, to bear some of the responsibility for this horrible murder of Allah's only Messiah. Does your twisted reasoning lead you to conclude that since these descendents are getting away today with murdering innocent Palestinians, what's the big deal about letting their forefather off the hook for murdering Allah's innocent Messiah two thousand year ago? You just refuse to recognize that by your not holding the ancient Jewish community responsible for the Messiah's murder, you are aiding the current Jewish leaders to also get away with their murders today?

Yes, there is a definite link between your cancellation of the Messiah's murder two thousand years ago and the multitude of murders that continue to occur against innocent Palestinians today. But you refuse to recognize this connection.

Additionally, you must realize this significant reality. Your deliberate cancellation and denial of Allah using His Might and Wisdom to provide his Messiah with a glorious, supernatural resurrection, is also a serious crime for which individually and collectively you must seek forgiveness from Allah.
