Is Israel Worshiping An Idol of Regression?“Would you like to swing on a star?” “Or would you rather be a mule? A mule (donkey) is an animal with long funny ears. He kicks up at everything he hears.” His back is brawny but his brain is weak. (This is a line that I did not remember and would not apply to Islam in any way.) “He is just plain simple with a stubborn streak.” But that was the context of my involuntarily singing these words aloud at 4:20am in the morning of July 14. These lyrics were from a 1940’s Bing Crosby song, and the circumstances in which I sang them several times was quite remarkable. But the context of how and when I suddenly began singing these clever metaphors aloud to myself, has convinced me that the words were a tender and meaningful message to Islam directly from ALLAH in the form of a series of joyful but appropriate metaphors. I happened to awaken so early because of recovering from the hours of jet lag from my return trip from Amman, Jordan. And since my early morning newspaper had not yet arrived, I soon began reading the July/August 2009 U.S. “Foreign Affairs” journal that was conveniently near my bed. Due to what I was reading in this political journal, I began having overwhelming feelings of sadness for Islam in connection to a strategy that I was reading about. Then I reminded myself that the great religion of Islam also has a definite strategy. But rather than Islam’s strategy being a progressive, helpful strategy that benefits all Muslims, in my mind it is a non imaginative top down, fear dominated strategy that discourages the type of risk taking practiced by the prophet Mohammad. Thus, an atmosphere in Islam that discourages creative resourcefulness ends up robbing millions of Muslims and especially women of a broad variety of benefits that ALLAH himself longs to shower on Muslims. So I was soon experiencing deep feelings of grief regarding regressive Muslim leaders insisting on Muslims following such a regressive, counterproductive strategy of rigidity. And in my mind I trace the majority of this unnecessary rigidity back to how these leaders have turned the profound and complex verse of An-Nisa about the Messiah supposedly not dying or rising, into a huge mill-stone, or great wrecking ball or giant anchor that is being used by the enemy of truth and good, to hold Islam back from helping its people in the uplifting healthy way that ALLAH desires Islam to nourish its precious people for whom Islam has responsibility. As I laid in my bed I was experiencing definite feelings of sadness and helplessness regarding Muslim leaders regressive strategy of insisting upon their own archaic, anachronistic insistence that the combination of An Nisa 4:157 and 158 continue to be interpreted in a rigid, simplistic way that actually is detrimental to the precious millions and millions of people of Islam. Sadly, these unwise and unenlightened Muslim leaders who appear to love their own authority more than they love ALLAH, are stubbornly resistant and even antagonistic to the enlightened concept of finally allowing these two profound verses to be understood in an ALLAH honoring ways; a constructive way that allows ALLAH’s compassionate, courageous Messiah to be the dynamic living Messiah who desires to be warmly welcomed into the midst of Arab Muslim Middle Eastern Islam. But instead of now being with his people who need him and with whom he longs to be, he is apparently hidden away somewhere in the third or seventh heaven or some such place. And he is not now, when he is so needed as God’s Risen Messiah, allowed to be with those who need him and who he wants to serve. But in the very last days he supposedly will no longer be held back. And it is at that time that he will supposedly make his end of the world re-entry. Consequently, all Muslims living in this present crucial time period are being denied the enjoyment and benefit of his invisible spiritual presence. And while I was still thinking about how hurtful to Muslims is Islam’s regressive strategy, my sad thoughts were without warning short circuited. Almost without realizing what I was doing, I began softly singing a catchy tune that was constantly being sung on the radio about sixty five years ago. I am fairly certainly that I had not thought of this song that was often sung by Bing Crosby for at least forty year. So suddenly I transitioned from being deeply disappointed about the very negative outcomes of Islam’s rejection of the living, resurrected Messiah, to singing out loud a happy song containing joyful, ear catching metaphors. Significantly, these metaphors were in direct contrast to what I view as Islam’s regressive strategy of rejecting the spiritually uplifting reality that ALLAH’s Risen, Living Messiah’s presence is silently and invisibly even now constantly among Muslims. It was as though ALLAH was through the lyrics of this cheerful song, asking Muslims to laugh at themselves for making such a ridiculous, unhelpful choice about rejecting the Living Messiah. So I am sure that He greatly desires Muslim leaders to change their minds and their tune and make the better choice between swinging on a star while carrying their own personal pack of moon beams and not make the opposite choice of being a funny eared donkey. Though the donkey has large ears, it refuses to listen to what it hears. And why does the donkey not hear? Because, as the clever words of the lyrics state, “He is just plain simple with a stubborn streak.” So the choice between swinging on a swing attached to a star high in the sky with moon beams as companions instead of sometimes choosing to imitate a donkey that has a stubborn streak is designed to be an obvious choice. So the style of this song that ALLAH led for me to sing makes the happy choice to be the preferred choice for Muslim leaders to make. But apparently such a choice is difficult to make for persons or leaders who derive joy and meaning out of sometimes being rigid, superficial and stubborn like a donkey. After several minutes I was finally able to stop myself from singing the clever joyful song. I emphasize joyful, for the way the happy metaphors such as swinging high in the sky were contrasted with negative metaphors such as being mules or donkeys, It was quite obvious that any clear thinking leader would choose the happy, joyful metaphor instead of the negative one. For who would not prefer to swing on a star contrasted with being a stubborn mule? Also the joy that was expressed in the joyful baritone, Bing Crosby voice, along with the rhythm and happy tune, made the choice of joy over rigidity and stubbornness quite easy to make. For who would not acknowledge that the joyful, positive choice of swinging high in the sky on a star is not an exciting choice. So each of these cheerful, uplifting metaphors were positive antidotes to worshipping their present virtual regression idol that many Muslim leaders have chosen to worship. Tell me, what could be more progressive, exciting and exhilarating than the clever metaphor of “swinging on a star?” And isn’t it refreshing to think of carrying to your home a whole jar full of moon beams? Of course having such a joyful uplifting experience high up in ALLAH’s own heavens would leave a person better off than they ever were, as the line in the song tells us. Would you like to swing on a star? So the last line of the initial chorus lead back to a reality that ALLAH forces us to face, that we must make choices. So this one line reminds us that it is our choice of whether we choose to be like a negative mule or whether we choose to be swinging on a star high in the sky. So the lyric asks us the direct question: would you rather be a mule? Yes, ALLAH does not treat us as robots and leave us without choices. So the leaders of the great religion of Islam must choose between the joy of swinging high the heaven with a star and with moon beams which are the blessing of God, as our companions. Or do these leaders make the bad choice to allow their stubborn streaks to force them to keep carrying their heavy donkey load down the dusty road. “For the mule is just a plain simple with a stubborn streak.” So the melody makes vivid the contrasts in the outcomes of the choices. Do the leaders want joy and meaning while swinging in the heavens on a star experiencing heavenly joy and delights? Or do they prefer to receive sadistic pleasure from their stubbornness? But it was not until minutes after I stopped repeatedly singing the joyful lyrics, that with much surprise did I finally realize that these lyrics, containing many choices and contrasts between the happy and the unpleasant metaphors, was a gentle and cheerful message to Islam. Our resourceful ALLAH who has many surprises for us, had unexpectedly given me a unique privilege. I had, without intending to do so, sung a message to Islam about positive choices or negative choices, about progression or regression, about more joy or less joy, about pleasing ALLAH or disappointing Him, about helping children or holding children back and about embracing His Risen Messiah or Muslim leaders turning their backs on His Risen man from West Bank Bethlehem. For he, the Risen man, represents the star that we can swing on. And the jar of moon beams represent the blessings he freely gives us. And this whole combination of messages were in one simple verse in a longer song containing clever, joyful contrasting metaphors for the leaders of the great institution of Islam to consider. Rather than their containing even the mildest criticism or rebuke of Islam for shutting its gates and not welcoming the Risen man for so many, many years, the tune contained numerous ridiculous, clever contrasts exposing the ridiculousness of Islam’s leaders making stubborn choices when those leaders could be choosing to experience heavenly joy and liberty in the presence of their Risen Messiah man. But strangely, even many U.S. Christians leaders have chosen to trade in this amazing, compassionate Messiah, for the secular pleasures of technical advances, financial affluence, a preoccupation with sports and other entertainment, and the choice to kill innocents with advanced weapons. In contrast to their present regressive behavior, both U.S. Christianity and Islam could be choosing to swing on a star. Fleeing From the InvisibleWhat a wonderful and vibrant spiritual heritage has the Islamic world received from its dedicated founding Prophet. But from my observation from the approximately 9 years total I have lived in the three Mid East nations of Lebanon, Jordan and Saudi Arabia and visited seven others, I am saddened at how I have observed the rich spiritual heritage initiated by the progressive Prophet of Islam, Prophet Muhammad being wasted. How is it being wasted? Because there is ALLAH’s Living Messiah residing right in the very midst of Islam and no Muslim leader or journalist will touch this reality of his invisible presence with a ten foot pole. Why? Because with all the sincere spirituality that resides in Muslim hearts, Muslim leaders totally reject the invisible unless the invisible is connected to fallible man’s technology. Yes, they accept invisible radio waves, invisible T.V. signals, the invisible phone messages that go from one phone to another across oceans in a split second, the invisible messages that are transmitted from thousands of miles from one fax machine to another. They also accept invisible remote control of guided missiles to destroy human beings, invisible type remote control messages to guide drones to take photographs or to send killer missiles or remote control devices that send invisible messages to road side bombs in order to blow off father’s and brother’s and sister’s and mother’s arms and legs. Then there are the billions of invisible e-mail messages that somehow avoid bumping into each other and end up on computers all over the world and in planes high, high in the sky and even on the moon. But when a person such as myself insists that ALLAH who just happens to be more advanced both technologically and spiritually than all these potentially smoking and drinking and possibly adulterous technicians, has empowered His Risen Messiah to move so fast that he is everywhere at once in the entire Middle East, I am looked at as some type of religious fanatic. Of course I don’t know precisely whether it is fast movement that gives the Risen Alive Messiah a comprehensive invisible presence everywhere in the Middle East. But his omnipresence is a reality that leaders or journalist will not recognize, think about or talk about. How can anyone suggest that Islam does not at the present time vigorously worship the idol of regression? For Islam observes fallible man rapidly and amazingly conquering through technology the world of the invisible. But what do we observe Islam, Judaism and Christianity each doing, even though each others’ three monotheistic religions claim to worship and serve the invisible God to whom they each give credit for being the creator of heaven and earth and all that is in them? Yet, while secular, materialistic man conquers the invisible but cannot conquer his own heart, the religious leaders and journalists are afraid to even mention the invisible. And it is secular man who excels at using the invisible to murder visible man. But what does supposedly spiritual man do? He is in full retreat from even acknowledging the reality of the presence of the Risen Messiah of the previous Scriptures who is also the Risen Messiah of the Holy Quran. But especially Muslims and Jews dare not acknowledge the presence of the Messiah for fear of being labeled as religious fanatics. So even Islam must be worshipping the Idol of Regression. For Muslim leaders are frantically retreating from the presence of the invisible Living Messiah when there is overwhelming evidence that his living presence is among us. In fact, I confess unashamedly that a few times the Risen Messiah man has directly communicated with me in Arabic and in English, both in Jordan and in the U.S. The core of his very brief messages were regarding evil actions of the older and younger Presidents Bush about their killing of Arab Muslims in Iraq as well as directly encouraging me to hold up the Risen Messiah from the Holy Quran to skeptical resistant Muslims. Therefore, since I have received these few but definite communications from our Risen Messiah, I am compelled to do the best I can to communicate his living, risen reality to especially the Muslims of the Middle East. However, even if I had not received even one supernatural communication regarding evil committed by either of the Presidents Bush about unnecessarily killing Iraqi Muslims, or the necessity to urge and plead with Muslims to consider the evidence from even their own Holy Quran about the Risen Messiah’s Living presence in the Mid East. The evidence is overwhelming that some persons because of the clear teaching from the Scriptures, must obviously have both a moral and spiritual responsibility to do what we can about these two compelling issues. So the circumstances that we cannot help but observe, compel us to no longer sit on our hands and do nothing. But we must prayerfully, while seeking our Risen Messiah’s presence, his guidance and his empowerment that ALLAH bestowed upon him by his resurrection from death, lift up our voices and possibly our pens and our pencils and our computers to expose and proclaim in the most effective way that with ALLAH’s direction and provisions that we are able, certain definite messages. They are messages to not irresponsibly and preemptively kill Muslims and Christians. And I have a personal responsibility to make people aware that ALLAH’s Risen invisible Messiah yearns to make his presence and his reality known to each Muslim who has been brainwashed by Muslim leaders to not realize that ALLAH’s Risen Man is available and wanting to have contact if it will be welcomed… A Fresh Paradigm is a MustIn order to stem the tide of this negative regression by Islam’s leaders, it is obvious that a new model is an absolute necessity and is desired by ALLAH in order to restore vitality to Middle Eastern Islam. So to meet the core needs of Mid East Muslims the need for a spiritual surge by far exceeds the needs of an economic surge. Yet, the two surges are not mutually exclusive. For a spiritual resurgence is certainly going to stimulate leaders to be wiser in their economic stewardship of ALLAH’s available resources. And it must be obvious to any Muslim leaders who have eyes to see and ears to hear, that to ignore the valuable resources represented by ALLAH’s Risen Messiah, is to demonstrate the limited insight of a stubborn mule. Because the new vitality that will be a stimulating by product of interacting with ALLAH’s own resourceful now Living man from West Bank Bethlehem, cannot be overestimated. Thus, the first decisive step that Muslims must take in order to insure constructive interaction with ALLAH’s own Risen man, is to liberate Islam from one definite unnecessary obstacle to progress. And that is the pervasive influence from the weight of the heavy, destructive wrecking ball of the rigid wrong understanding of the true intended teaching of An-Nisa 4:157 and 158. (And significantly, I explain in earlier papers why the Prophet Muhammad did not at an earlier time clarify the true intended meaning of those two profound verses.) So Muslim leaders must seek courage and insight from ALLAH to liberate both themselves and others from these restraining anchors dragging behind Islam which prevents constructive fellowship and spiritual communion with ALLAH’s Risen and resourceful physician. Then and only then will Islam begin to heal and progress from lethargy to vitality. So may the wrecking ball and the anchor now be cast aside. Then the gates of Islam will finally swing open wide to welcome ALLAH’s Risen Doctor man from West Bank Bethlehem. So when Doctor Risen Messiah enters into the House of Islam, the Idol of Regression can be cast out so there will never again be an “illness called lethargy” for Islam. When this wonderful transformation occurs, expressed in the metaphor of the happy singer’s joyful chorus, the children of Islam will be able to: “Sing on a star.”They will "carry moonbeams home in a jar.” back to "Late 2007 - 2009" page __________________________________________________________ _________________________________________ __________________________ _____________ |
