Islam Defeats Her $4,476 Crime

I wish that I could say that it was my own $4,776 stolen instead of our money that was swindled away from us. But the bottom line is that when a partner in a marriage does something really stupid with money, it also negatively impacts the partner in the marriage. But in this situation, my wife has been much more forgiving to me than I have been able to be forgiving of myself.

As I retrace the steps that led to my stupidity of throwing $4,476 into the purse of a blatantly lying real estate agent, one reality is very difficult for me to accept. In hindsight, it is unbelievable how a 76 year old father of five with seven wonderful grandchildren and who has held a number of responsible employment positions, could be so gullible and believe a series of unbelievable, blatant lies told by a very smooth talking amoral real estate agent. Obviously, if I had forced myself to think clearly, virtually everything she told me should not only have sent up amber caution lights but flashing red stoplights.

How did it begin? My wife and I, because we spend the majority of our time in the summer in Jordan, had decided to sell our vacation property near Seattle that has numerous links to similar vacation properties throughout the U.S. Therefore, we were quite open when an agent called. She explained that she would have no trouble renting our property at $1,200 a week for 24 weeks at availabilities all over the U.S. if I paid up front $199 a week for the 24 weeks or $4,476. But because I was concerned about such a large initial out lay, she deceptively and professionally allayed my concerns by repeating over and over four blatant lies. Of course I should have recognized each lie as a blatant lie but because she was so smooth and reassuring, I refused to recognize obvious lies as lies.

Blatant Lie One:
She would be calling me every day to tell me of her progress. She did do this until she received back by fax my signed written contract. After that, I could not contact her by either her office phone or through customer service because customer service answered only once. But she cleverly did not return my calls until the seven-day cancellation period had expired and then had what sounded like a legitimate excuse.

Blatant Lie Two:
There was a great demand for these one-week, $1,200 rentals, which our property represented.

Blatant Lie Three:
Because of the great immediate demand, I would easily recover my up front $4,476 payment with at least four signed cashiers checks that I would definitely receive before my next bank statement.

Blatant Lie Four:
I would make more than $24,000 profit in the 24 weeks from my in demand rentals.

But because she scratched where I itched by emphasizing the more than $24,000 profit in 24 weeks and that I would almost immediately recover my $4,476, I naively believed her. Then, during the seven-day cancellation period I made five more major and stupid blunders that could have prevented our losing any money.

My Five Additional Stupid Blunders

Stupid Blunder One:
I convinced myself that because our expenses had been heavy, we could not get along without the profit that she was smoothly and convincingly promising. This was my convenient lie to myself because with clear thinking I would have realized that we could have gotten along without that extra money.

Stupid Blunder Two:
As soon as she and her agency stopped returning my phone calls, I should have realized that I had seven days to call the Florida Better Business Bureau and would have been professionally informed that there were 166 current complaints against her agency for fraudulent-type complaints.

Stupid Blunder Three:
When I was looking for a reason to trust her in my initial conversations, I naively believed that when she told me that she was a Mormon (which also probably was another lie) that made her trustworthy in my mind because all of the Mormons that I have known in the past were quite honest.

Stupid Blunder 4:
I can't believe how stupid I was to have this next misplaced loyalty. But because she was so smooth while she was blatantly lying to me, I thought I owed her loyalty by not canceling my payment until I found out why she had not called because I was concerned about my hurting her feelings.

Stupid Blunder 5:
Not only was I caught being stupid over her saying she was a Mormon but I have never been in a personal situation where it was a girl or woman who has blatantly lied to me. And the lies that this gentle woman enthusiastically and warmly repeated over and over and over, were so blatant and extreme that I lost all my ability to think logically or coherently. Because I never dreamed any real estate agent could or would lie so blatantly. So she was guilty of repeatedly and blatantly lying and I was guilty of extreme, blatant stupidity.

What Have I Done After It Was Legally Too Late?

  1. Because I could not even make telephone contact after about ten days, I contacted Bank of America and they were extremely sympathetic. But because I waited beyond the seven days, there was nothing they could legally do about my being ripped off by lies.
  2. I contacted the Florida Better Business Bureau and the woman supervisor felt so bad that I did not find out about the 166 current complaints on file against this agency until after it was too late to cancel.
  3. I contacted the Florida Attorney General's office and a caseworker tried their mediation process. But the real estate agency, though they were totally immoral in what they did, is allowed to be immoral as long as they manipulate the law in a way that protects them. So they have no legal obligation to provide any services for the $4,476 I paid the woman and her agency even though they failed to provide any of the promised services.
  4. I am not at all certain what the state, the Better Business Bureau and GOD will finally do with her many amoral transactions. But all three may finally do something to penalize these destructive, exploitive activities. Yet it is quite unlikely that it will not bring one dollar back to me.

How This Woman's Lies Relate to Islam's Truth

When the Quran states regarding ALLAH's only Messiah: “They killed him not nor crucified him,” the Quran is stating the absolute truth. There is no lie involved. Because to kill and to crucify means permanent death. But because the Messiah was 100% alive three days after the Jews the Romans and Shitaan had tried to permanently end his life, he was definitely neither killed nor crucified. That is a fact.

However, as I had it repeatedly said to me in a persuasive convincing way:

  1. I will call you each day.
  2. There are many vacationers waiting in line to rent property just like yours.
  3. The first four payments will be mailed to you so soon that they will cover the $4,476 by your next bank statement.
  4. There will easily be 24 payments coming to you of $1,200 each within 24 weeks.

That these four blatant lies were expressed to me in such a concentrated way and were repeated so often, and so persuasively, and so sincerely that I had several reasons that convinced me to believe them. Therefore, I totally swallowed the four blatant lies like a hungry fish would swallow the fisherman's hook, swallow his line and swallow even his sinker.

Now is there any persuasive superficial reason that the ordinary Muslims would have to not believe that when the Quran states that the Messiah was not killed and that he was not crucified, that that is exactly what the Quran intends to communicate?

Of course the ordinary Muslim is not going to do the deeper thinking and questioning that the Prophet did to cause him to come the secret conclusion that the Messiah did die and rise as is explained in my paper about the “Flying Messiah.”

So obviously, when each and every Muslim, except for the Prophet Muhammad, hears and reads the words repeatedly and emphatically, that the Messiah was neither killed nor crucified, the Muslims, with the exception of the wise Prophet, are going to accept that what in reality is false; is supposedly true.

And in contrast to how I had weak and confused reasons to accept various lies as being the truth, young and old, male and female Muslims have somewhat logical reasons to believe that something that is factually false is actually the truth. Of course, the strongest reason to believe that the false is true relating to the Messiah being both executed and then being raised alive by ALLAH (An-Nisa 4:158 and Mirayam 19:33) is that An-Nisa 4:157, when superficially understood, appears to emphatically teach that he was neither killed nor crucified. So the repetition of hearing over and over and over again and again since early childhood that the Messiah was neither killed nor crucified, has a very binding, overpowering influence, on the mind of each Muslim.

Of course, the second mighty impetus for each Muslim to continue to believe that the Messiah was neither killed nor crucified is that if any male or female Muslim, young or old were to try to believe any other way, the psychological pressure to stay within what is the traditional belief of one billion five hundred million Muslims and to continue to blatantly reject the death and resurrection is extraordinary.

The Extraordinarily Negative Consequences of Being Wrong

My stupid choices that I made were absolutely and totally wrong. So I suffered tremendous disillusionment that a woman totally pretending to be sincere to a 76 year-old man who she knew was experiencing financial difficulty, that she could decide to lie to me so evilly and blatantly, hurt me deeply. But other than that, the consequences of my own misplaced trust, naivety and terribly bad decision-making, was to lose probably forever, $4,476.

But whether or not there are compelling reasons that have caused Muslims to make the absolutely wrong decisions regarding the Messiah temporarily dying and later being raised by ALLAH up alive, that wrong decision is far, far beyond financial considerations. For to make the wrong choice regarding the Messiah's being murdered by the Jews but being subsequently raised up alive by ALLAH, is for Muslims to say to ALLAH:

“Oh Merciful, you may have provided a wonderful Risen Living Messiah to be forever living among us. But as Tom Griffith was too negligent to call up the Better Business Bureau to find out if his real estate agent could be trusted, similarly we are willing to continue to be negligent in examining the true meaning of An-Nisa 4:157 and 158 and Maryam 19:33 and 34. For like Tom, we are just going to hope for the best without putting in any real effort to determine that the truth is. So if we are wrong, we will have all of eternity to question our bad decision of not putting more work into our apparent superficial decision making about the Messiah's death and resurrection so that he now lives among us.”

Since I was wrong in my decision to believe the lies of the prevaricating real estate agent, I will have lost $4,476 as a temporary penalty for my stupidity. If Muslims make the wrong decision regarding ALLAH's gift to them of His Living Messiah, they will each have eternity to second-guess themselves. For they now have unwisely and unnecessarily offended ALLAH. They have not only rejected His wonderful gift to them of His only Risen Living Messiah, but also the Holy Quran's only Risen Living Messiah and the Injeel's only Risen Living Messiah. All because they were too lazy and too negligent to find out what An-Nisa 4:157 and 158 actually mean when properly understood together; that the Holy Quran's Messiah was temporarily killed by the Jews and was then raised up alive by the Wisdom and Might of ALLAH.

Yes, when a strong statement about a death not occurring has for centuries been deeply burned into the conscious and subconscious of every young and old, rich and poor Muslim, it is virtually impossible to modify that understandable misunderstanding. But praise be to the great Wisdom and awesome Might of ALLAH. For a truth that is much greater than any temporary misunderstanding has also been deeply ingrained into the heart and mind of every last Muslim. And what is that thrilling truth that ALLAH has made certain that every Muslim possesses? It is the wonderful truth that is not only written in the pages of the Holy Quran but is also written in the mind and heart of every Muslim. That nothing, no, nothing is impossible with ALLAH. Therefore, for ALLAH to empower truth to finally triumph over temporary misunderstanding, is the very thing that the Wisdom and Might of ALLAH is destined to accomplish. And no power under the earth, or on the earth, or above the earth, can prevent ALLAH's Will from being accomplished.

“But ALLAH raised him up (alive) unto Himself. And ALLAH is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise.” (An-Nisa 4:158 in the Holy Quran).

ALLAH Requires One Decisive Mind Shift

Due to the misunderstanding of possibly the most complex but most important verse in the Holy Quran, a regrettable phenomenon has occurred. One billion five hundred million sincere Muslims have repeated over and over and over to themselves basically one misleading statement. Therefore its untruth is deeply ingrained in each Muslim's mind. They have each said again and again to themselves and to others that the Messiah was neither killed nor crucified. Consequently, to question that supposed fact is almost impossible to do.

Yet, the true historical fact remains that his less than successful crucifixion was not a true crucifixion because that wicked event only temporarily took away his life. But ALLAH raised him to new life three days later preventing the crucifixion from being either a true killing or a true crucifixion.

Nevertheless, one billion, five hundred million Muslims have not understood these sensitive distinctions. Consequently, their minds have become deeply convinced of the false fact that there was no actual historical event of either his historical death or his historical resurrection.

Therefore, it is ALLAH's Will that now over and over, Muslims need to have their misled minds to be essentially reprogrammed regarding this most wicked murder that has occurred in the history of man. So there must be some way that progressive Muslim leaders communicate to Muslims everywhere throughout the nations this definite truth.

The reason that the Quran states that the Messiah was not crucified is this: ALLAH is in charge, not the Jews or any man. Therefore, when ALLAH raised him up alive, his crucifixion became as if it had never happened. Yes! Yes! Yes! ALLAH totally erased his wicked crucifixion by raising him up alive. Therefore, it had no consequences. Because the Might and Wisdom of ALLAH raised him up alive, his crucifixion became as if it had never occurred. And now is the time for all Muslims to comprehend this wonderful reality of how ALLAH does certain things in a certain way in order to accomplish his amazing purposes.
