M.E. Leaders' Injurious Cancellation Syndrome

Whether you speak of the stamp of cancellation being a suitable metaphor for M.E. Muslim leaders or of cancellation being a syndrome of these leaders, their poor reflection on Islam is not favorable. Yes, the 1948 disaster for Palestinians is usually not considered a Muslim issue but rather as an Arab issue. Nevertheless, the sad reality is that each of the several Arab leaders who made the ill conceived decision to go to war instead of accepting 48% of the original Palestinian land were Muslim. So it was 100% Muslim leaders who decided for war instead of for accepting 48% of the original Palestinian land. So it was 100% Muslim leaders who created a long term disaster for Palestinian Muslims by boldly but not wisely stamping CANCELLED on the unjust land allocation that the U.S. and European dominated U.N. forced on Palestinians in 1948.

Though the U.N. agreement was so unjust that it could be figuratively compared to throwing a new born baby into shark infested waters, the harsh reality was that the U.N. decision was backed by considerable western power. Thus, potentially modifying what was written by the U.N. in order to give less land to Israel and more land to the Palestinians or even to totally cancel the U.N. mandate by driving the unwelcome Israelis out of Arab land was not feasible. It could not have occurred no matter what the combined but diverse Arab forces would have been able to accomplish.

But now there has been a full sixty years to evaluate all of the considerable negative consequences for both Arabs and for Islam of rejecting the U.N. mandate. So somehow if Arabs were again to have the choice of being guaranteed that Palestinians could once again have the choice of possessing all of the land that they had originally been offered in 1948 or to receive only the small fragment of land which Israel is supposedly now offering them along with considerable negative baggage attached of all kinds of humiliating and degrading pre-conditions, their quick answer would be obvious. Of course the Palestinians would now prefer the original offer which was made to them sixty years ago which Arab leaders foolishly cancelled.

But the sad reality is that the injurious decision by these angry and disappointed leaders to figuratively stamp cancelled on what the U.N. had offered the Palestinians in 1948, that unwise rejection is now embedded in hardened concrete. So it is a harsh reality that there will never again be a new chance to undo what these well meaning Muslim leaders did. This remains true no matter how many brash words are publicly spoken by such persons as the wild man of Iran, President Ahmadinejad. He pretends to think that his own erratic rhetoric can alter reality.

The regrettable point is this. Because Muslim Arabs were so psychologically impacted by their own legitimate rage at the injustice being forced upon them by the U.S. and European dominated U.N., their own traumatized minds and humiliated psyche were unable to grasp and adequately evaluate the long term potential negative consequence of their rash but bold rejection of injustice that turned out to be a sixty year and still counting, humanitarian and political disaster. Therefore, with the benefit of hindsight, it is fair to say that the Arab Muslim leaders incorrectly chose defeat instead of having chosen what now would be considered a wise victory.

However, today is a very different day than any day in 1948. Now both the U.S. and Great Britain and even the U.N. are on the psychological and political defense due to the horrible carnage and injustice they have brought to Iraq. Each of these entities is now in a weakened position that will not allow them to put most Arab leaders under psychological, political or military stress. And it appears that now the most that the partially defanged partners in crime of the U.S. and the U.K., can do to the Arab leaders is to wave a potentially nuclear armed Iran in the face of these mostly oil rich nations. So this predominantly positive circumstance for Muslim Arab leaders frees them to do much clearer thinking than they did in 1948 to decide what will accomplish the most good for their own nation, what is best for the Middle East and what most benefits the great religion of Islam.

In view of these generally positive circumstances of much less pressure than 48, it is significant that the current Arab Muslim leaders are now faced with another even more important opportunity to either unwisely snatch defeat from certain victory or to wisely choose a GOD provided opportunity to choose victory over defeat. Significantly, this new choice that is being provided by ALLAH, is at this time especially available for Islam. It has been pushed to the fore and magnified due to such a large segment of U.S. and British Christianity choosing to discard and trade away their once highly valued relationship with GOD's Messiah.

This unwise abandonment has strangely occurred even though the Risen Messiah's strong credentials include his having defeated both death and also having defeated a corrupt Israeli apparatus that exploited those people who were under the apparatus' evil domination. He also exposed racism, cared for the oppressed, freed prisoners, healed the sick, exposed religious and political hypocrisy, incisively taught the values that are considered highly valuable by God, elevated the status of women, loved and valued children, emphasized the judgment on the last day, but also emphasized personal reconciliation and the strong necessity of human forgiveness, as well as his receiving from ALLAH the power to raise the dead etc.

In view of all these amazing positive qualities, we legitimately ask why so many U.S. Christians would trade ALLAH's Messiah away. And what did they receive in return? These unwise traders were supposedly GOD fearing and GOD valuing Christians. Yet they traded away the one whom the Holy Quran emphatically proclaims to be not only "eminent in this world but is also eminent in the next world". (Al Imran 3:45)

So why and for what did the U.S. trade their incomparable Messiah man from West Bank Bethlehem? The why question is answered by reminding ourselves that a large segment of U.S. Christians have become intoxicated with the worship of power and authority and also intoxicated with what is reverently referred to as the “American Dream.” We find that the comparatively luxurious life style that is the American Dream which so many of us believe that we are entitled to, is highly dependent on Middle Eastern oil which requires weapons to insure that it keeps flowing. So our love affair with a disproportional prosperity is mainly why we have traded Him away.

So the answer to the second question of what have we traded our precious Risen Messiah for? What is it for which we have foolishly and ignorantly exchanged Him? The answer is unbelievable in its superficiality. We have traded Him for the garbage of highly technical weaponry. We have exchanged Him for militant militarism. While trading Him away we have also traded away what at one time not so long ago were our fairly clean consciences. Now the blood of butchered Iraqis does not much bother our calloused consciences. Even the blood of our own military men and women is bothering us less and less as we grow more accustomed to their blood being shed for those of us who do not have the highly hazardous responsibility of being members of the military.

Yet in one chapter of the book of Ezekiel, that furious Prophet's prophetic words should cause our entire bodies to tremble. Our teeth should break from grinding them as we anticipate what this Prophet warns us lies ahead due to our complacency with shedding blood. The disgusted Prophet shouts into our covered ears:

“Since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you.” (Hezekiel/Ezekiel 25.6)

We do not hear the Prophets shout because our fingers are stuffed into our ears. We are totally opposed to a concept that is alien to our twisted minds. We refuse to accept the truth that our proud nation is not entitled to spill the blood of innocent foreigners so that we can maintain our affluent life styles which our leaders call the “American Dream.” Our calloused question to ourselves has been:

“Why shouldn't we spill foreigner's innocent blood since we have the weapons to accomplish it and it is in our national interest to do so?”

Due to this calloused abandonment of civilized principles that clearly demonstrate that we have foolishly cast aside our compassionate Messiah, God has now accelerated His call to Islam. Because it is not only that justice and truth demand that Islam hold Israel responsible for the Messiah's murder and for Islam now to accept his death and resurrection. But there also exists the urgent need to search for a truly GOD fearing people who will not worship weapons but who will faithfully and fully embrace His now living man from West Bank Bethlehem who will not callously exchange him for weapons. Especially is this obviously ALLAH's desire since such a substantial segment of the formerly partial Christian nation of the U.S., has either actively or passively been supporting such cruelty to especially foreign Iraqis during their prolonged period of abandonment and betrayal of their compassionate, merciful, just Messiah.

Since there now exists such a wide open opportunity for Islam to fill such a deep vacuum, instead of responding positively, will Muslim leaders again unanimously revert to their own unwise, counter-productive CANCELLATION mode? Will they again fail to consider the very negative future consequence of a bad rejectionist decision? Or have Muslim leaders finally learned a necessary lesson from their past bad decision making? Or have they not learned from their past bad decisions so that they will once again follow their robotic cancellation mode when an objective analysis of reality is what is called for. Thinking positively, perhaps key Muslim leaders will now give top priority to canceling only what is truly wise to cancel.

The One Cancellation ALLAH Desires

At this time there is a very important cancellation that ALLAH Himself is deeply desiring all of Islam to make. His strong desire is that now Islam will choose to cancel its hiding behind its own bizarre interpretation of two profound verses in the Quran which gives all Muslims a convenient cover for Islam to reject the authority GOD has given His Risen Messiah. When Muslims insist on hiding behind their distorted understanding of the true intent of these two profound verses, they unwisely use their own unique, bizarre stamp, and violently stamp CANCELLED on GOD's Messiah's glorious simultaneous victory over both death and over the evils of the rebellious Israeli apparatus. For the GOD opposing apparatus which existed in Isa's day even now continues to reject GOD's Wisdom and Might. And the Holy Quran reveals in An Nisa 4:158 that that very Wisdom and Might was used by ALLAH to raise His Messiah up from death to Himself.

So oh Islam, will you now wisely choose to fully embrace ALLAH's Risen Messiah? Or, will you once again unwisely choose to surrender to the powerful dictates of your predictable cancellation syndrome and choose to stamp cancelled over your Risen Messiah whose arms are now stretched wide to welcome you but who also will one day be your Eternal Judge?

It is important to realize that the Scriptures are emphatic that God has given extensive proof that His Risen Messiah will be our eternal Judge. This reality of him being our Judge was explained to Greek philosophers in Athens almost 2000 years ago. In that important city the radical former rabbi from Tarsus had been temporarily blinded by a brilliant light sent by the Messiah while Paul was traveling on a dusty road to Damascus, Syria. He was temporarily blinded in order to get his attention so that GOD could, a few days later, open his blind eyes so that he could now serve His Risen Messiah. So this changed man later explained to Greek philosophers on his visit to Athens, Greece about how GOD puts heavy emphasis on personal accountability to Himself and so has assigned His Messiah to be His representative Judge. He explained to the philosophers that,

“GOD has fixed a day (the Day of Judgment) in which He will judge the world with justice (not with the U.N.'s injustice) by means of a man (the Risen Messiah) He has chosen. He has given proof (that the risen Messiah} will be GOD's representative Judge of men and nations by raising him from the dead.”

So the final proof that the Just Messiah whom the Quran proclaims to be "eminent in this world and in the next,” (Al Imran 3:45) will be GOD's agent of Judgment on the Last Day is the fact that GOD raised him from the dead as the Holy Quran emphatically proclaims in An-Nisa 4:158. “ALLAH took him up to Himself.”

There are also other verses in the Quran which mention or allude to the victorious Messiah's death and/or his resurrection. But for Islam the greatest proof of his resurrection is in the fact that the Quran repeatedly states that it confirms the earlier Scriptures and those Scriptures which it repeatedly states that it confirms, repeatedly, again and again, proclaim that the Messiah died and rose. And that important fact cannot be overlooked or over emphasized. Because the Scripture which the Holy Quran so many times proclaims that it confirms, hundreds of times, with great excitement, speaks of the Messiah being raised by GOD from the dead. In fact, the entire 28 chapters of the Book of Acts are dedicated to nothing else but accounts of the invisible Risen Messiah quietly but steadily working day after day by His Spirit through those who had spiritually embraced him.

For those Muslims who will protest that the previous Scriptures have been changed and therefore cannot be trusted and so are irrelevant no matter what they say about the Messiah's death and resurrection, I have three short answers to that objection, each of which is convincing.

1. The Quran does not say that any previous written Scriptures were corrupted with pens. It only mentions of the Jews corrupting their Scriptures with their tongues.
2. If any Jews would have changed or modified any Scriptures, they certainly would have carefully removed the fifteen (15) different short Scripture passages scattered throughout the Old Testament (Torah) that explicitly and vividly speak of the Jews either eating their children or burning them to death in fires as sacrifices to idols.
3. Accounts and verses about the death and resurrection of the Messiah so thoroughly permeate the entire New Testament (Injeel) that any attempt to either remove or modify them would leave the entire New Testament incoherent.

So the Reality is that the reliable Scriptures reveal that the Resurrection of GOD's Messiah is His vivid proof that He has appointed Him to be our Judge.

So oh Muslims, will your choice be to find excuses in order to cancel ALLAH's Risen Messiah and/or to marginalize him? Or will you now make the much wiser choice to fully embrace him? And please ask ALLAH to help you in your very important choice. Also, please consider which choice will be the most beneficial for your children's future.

And please, never again think that the Holy Quran actually teaches that the Jews should not be held accountable for the Messiah's dreadful murder that they definitely committed. Only realize that GOD's Wisdom and His Might are so magnificent that these two overpowering qualities made it appear that His Messiah had not been murdered because ALLAH raised him up alive to Himself.

Finally oh Muslims, as you make your decision whether to fully embrace your Risen Messiah or to virtually stamp him as cancelled, please factor this important reality into your decision making. If you do choose to cancel your Risen Messiah, you are simultaneously rejecting your future Judge. And whether you think so or not, in the priorities of GOD, rejecting your Judge is not a small thing to do. In fact, finding excuses to reject your eternal Judge, though it may seem insignificant to you, will have a long range spiritual consequence that will affect you throughout eternity. So please do not make that kind of unwise decision that you will eternally regret.
