Some Christian Scholars Virtually Hate Muslim Women

Regretfully, in this paper I will demonstrate the truth of this paper's title. Though many will disagree with the linkage that I have made between hate for Muslim women with Christian Scholars, I will demonstrate this linkage.
These Christians scholars are unintentionally but willingly complicit in each of the following heinous crimes that I will list. And they are also complicit in other crimes against Muslims that I will not list. Simply summarized, these Christian scholars, by aggressively interfering with Mid-East Arab Muslims possessing and being able to read the New Testament (Injeel) in language that has sensitively removed cultural barriers, the following negative consequences occur. The Muslims are prevented from understanding that the Risen anointed of ALLAH and even the Risen Messiah of their own Qur'an (Al-Im'ran 3:55) now resides among them. And I submit that their knowledge and belief that he is now residing among them will positively impact their overall culture to such an extreme extent that wars against Muslims and cruel treatment of Muslim women will be vastly reduced because of Muslim men's new accountability to the Risen Messiah. Yes, they will recognize him as being among them if it were not for the misguided counter productive interference of the legalistic scholars.

Christian Scholars Alleged Complicity In Crimes Against Muslims By Preventing the Recognition of the Risen Messiah's Presence Among Muslims

1. They are partially complicit in the dehumanizing and painful crime of the crudely performed home operations of removing part of the genetilia of young girls to not only prevent them from enjoying sexual relations as adult married women but will usually cause them to experience pain during married sexual intercourse.
2. These Christian scholars are complicit in multitudes of Muslim women being driven into prostitution both in Iraq and in foreign countries in order to buy food for their children whose fathers have been killed and sometimes mutilated in the needless Bush/Cheney War in Iraq that would not have occurred if the Messiah's presence had been recognized.
3. These well-meaning but legalistic Christian Scholars were complicit in all the horrible tragedies of the preventable Iraq War because they aggressively worked against GOD in what His Scripture could have done in the Muslim Middle-East which could have quite likely prevented the Iraq war from having occurred. For if the legalistic, uncaring students (scribes) of the Scriptures had allowed the Scriptures to be interpreted in a way that would not have seriously offended GOD's beloved Muslims, the following wonderful scenario could easily have occurred as a result of multitudes of Muslims openly welcoming the Injeel. If offensive terminology would have been removed from the Scriptures then masses of joyful Muslims would have welcomed Al-Qur'an's, Al-Im'ran 3:55, and the Injeel's Risen Messiah into their hearts, into their homes, into their culture and into their Mosques. As a direct result, when the slightly Christian U.S. would have realized that the Injeel's and the Qur'an's Risen Messiah's presence was actually pervading Mid-East nations and especially present in Iraq, there is no way that the U.S would have allowed tens of thousands of Iraqi Risen Messiah followers to have been mutilated, massacred and displaced from their homes in a cruel war for having done no crime against the U.S.

So the Christian Scholars who are attempting to do good by preventing Muslims from having understandable Scriptures about GOD's Risen Christ are fulfilling the observation made in the Apostle Paul's letter to the people of Corinth. He sincerely warns them that Shiitan/Satan himself cleverly presents himself as an angel of light (see 11 Corinthians 11:14) similar to how these scholars falsely present themselves as angels of light.

In fulfillment of this, these scholar legalists represent themselves as GOD's appointed defenders of Scriptural purity. Furthermore, in his letter to Ephesus Paul wants GOD's servant who are attempting to spread the Risen Christ's message to realize that they “are not wrestling with flesh and blood but with principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

So I submit that those who are injuriously using their dedication to the purity of the Scriptures as a pretense for keeping ALLAH's beloved Muslims in darkness about their now Risen Messiah, as a result of doing this are being complicit in facilitating and unleashing wicked destructive forces on Muslims. So these scholars become active participants in being “rulers of the darkness of this world.” Ephesians 6:12

So far I have listed only three tragic consequences for especially Muslim women being tragically prevented from having the Injeel accessible to them because the scholars will not allow sincere Christian translators to use terminology that Muslims can relate to and readily understand. Yet, these Muslim friendly translations could have quite possibly prevented the bloody disaster of the recent Gulf war. Obviously the list could stretch into the hundreds of the catastrophic huuman tragedies that could have been prevented by the open knowledge of the presence of GOD's Risen Messiah. And if the list were personalized to illuminate personal situations, it could stretch into the thousands of thousands where Muslims awareness of ALLAH's personal living Messiah's being present in their midst could have prevented untold suffering. But we will just examine a few more tragic examples.

1. In Taliban Afghanistan, and partially Taliban Pakistan, if awareness of the Qur'an's and Injeel's living caring, Messiah being in their midst, could there be any doubt that his acknowledged presence would have had a major tempering effect on how women would be treated more compassionately and less inhumanely?
2. Let's take the case of honor killings where a sister or daughter is brutally murdered in even moderate Jordan. If it were acknowledged among Muslims that the Risen Christ were present in a family, would there not be a more caring way to handle the suspicion of sexual misbehavior by her own brother because of the brother's quite possibly wrong suspicions of sexual promiscuity?
3. And let's see the horrible impact that this war that could have been prevented by a broad knowledge in Iraq of the caring Risen Messiah's presence would have had on U.S. wives of severely traumatized returning servicemen or multitudes of wives and children who have lost thousands of their husbands or dads to suicide instead of to enemy fire. These women's lives have also been severely traumatized as well as their children due to what the preventable war did to thousands of military persons. Yes, the Risen Messiahs known presence in Iraq would have quite probably prevented the ugly Bush-Cheney war from even occurring.
4. In addition to the tens of thousands of those who were killed and murdered in the brutal but needless and preventable Iraq war where rigid, Blibical legalists have been complicit in its occurrence, what about those from various nations and religions who are permanently without hands, and eyes and legs because of Christian legalists virtually cancelling the tenderness of GOD and the Sovereignty of GOD in taking care of His Scriptures. Definitely minor adjustments to help Muslims' understanding would not have corrupted HIS Scriptures. For it is the Spirit of the law and not the letter of the law that is to be followed. For it was the Messiah who severely reprimanded legalistic Jewish leaders for making big issues out of small matters He attempted to get them to laugh at themselves and to see how ridiculous they were being. He told them that they were actually being preoccupied with not swallowing the tinest of insects/gnats while they were indeed swallowing the large police camels in Tahrir Square.

He that knows how and has the means to rescue a woman from drowning or being raped and callously refuses to provide that help, it is as if that person has himself personally drowned that woman or personally raped her.

Similarly, many Christian scholars are virtually torturing and even virtually raping Muslim women. On what basis do I make this serious charge? On the basis that these Christian scholars have it within their ability to encourage translations of the New Testament Scriptures that would allow Muslim men and Muslim women, as well as Muslim leaders to understand that the Qur'an's Risen Messiah today is alive and spiritually present among Muslims, is present in Muslim society and is present in Muslim culture.

But instead of building this wonderful foundation of understanding, these scholars unknowingly volunteer to be servants of the power of darkness and passively aggressively put in place all the intellectual barriers that they are able to in order to prevent Muslims from understanding the Message of ALLAH's, and the Injeel's Risen Messiah from the New Testament Scriptures. Additionally, these destructive obstructionist tactics also disallow Muslims from understanding that the Qur'an's own Al-Im'ran 3:55 also presents the Injeel's Risen Risen Messiah as Risen from death. Yet, all the while these employed members of the large prospering U.S. Christian business establishment wrongly assume that they are serving and pleasing GOD in their obstruction. But instead they are actually serving the Evil One.

Some readers may conclude that I have a personal grudge when I am using this strong language. But I am sincerely attempting to expose and help heal those who are strenuously trying to be legalists in using a faulty rationale that some scholars and some legalists use to effectively prevent Muslims from having opportunity to understand the person of the Risen Messiah in a culturally sensitive way. I am totally convinced that this negative tactic is preventing Muslims from enjoying ALLAH's Kingdom of His Risen Messiah whom He has even partially revealed in both the Qur'an and in the Old Testament and has more fully revealed in the Injeel, the New Testament.

I almost wept when I read the excellent article in Feb. 2011 Christianity Today entitled The Son and the Crescent. For in this article, the author, Mr. Collin Hansen, brought into the light of day the weak excuses scholars use to prevent Muslims from accepting the Scriptures. Because it is obviously GOD's will to have Muslims understand the Scriptures because He is a healing GOD. He is certainly not a myopic obstructionist GOD. For those Christians who categorically label the Qur'an, the Devil's Book, I plead with you to read “The Torn Veil.” There the Risen Messiah himself speaks in an inner voice from above to a crippled teen Pakistani girl.

He explicitly instructs her to read Surah Maryam from the Qur'an about his ability to heal. A few weeks later he not only appears to her in her private room and did instantaneously heal her legs so that she walked for the first time in her life, And she continued being able to walk. But in addition to healing her legs, he also taught her the Lord's Prayer.

The Immoral Tragedy of the Evil Trade-Off

I will soon list from my perspective the worst of the critics objections on why it is supposedly neither GOD's will or their will that the Scriptures about GOD's Messiah be put into either Arabic or English for Muslims to read using Muslim sensitive terms that remove roadblocks for Muslims to understand GOD's Messiah in the Injeel/New Testament. And as I list these objections from my perspective, I remain convinced that there are reasonable explanations for each one of these objections. These objections that I will list are extracted from the excellent article in the previously mentioned February 2011 Christianity Today magazine entitled The Son and The Crescent. ( I am purposely not including names in my comments since my perspective will be highly controversial. Therefore, I do not believe it is advisable to involve others' names. But I will say that I was befriended by one sincere servant of ALLAH in Lebanon in the early seventies who was dedicated to removing unnecessary barriers to Muslims in the Scriptures. So I consider him a wonderful mentor and inspirational example of making the road to ALLAH's Risen Messiah much more smooth for Muslims. I still remember his words spoken to me in private when he said in 1974:

“Tom, the day is soon coming in the Muslim Middle-East when GOD's Word from the Injeel will run wild here so that multitudes of sincere seeking Muslims will understand and love their Risen Messiah,and become his sincere followers, because of Servants of GOD removing unnecessary barriers to improve their understandingof Scripture.”

Before I list the major objections by scholars and other objectors to more understandable and less objectionable rendering of the Scriptures, I will make this comment about their objections. Even in the Christianity Today article, some of their objections were already partially neutralized. Also the subject of other biased and potentially racist reasons for their objections were alluded to but not in depth. But from my perspective some of the very knowledgeable men who are mentioned in the article could quite well neutralize each and every one of their objections to the satisfaction of GOD if not to the satisfaction of the objectors. For GOD is much more loving and understanding of Muslims than are the men who they think that they serve and please GOD by erecting road blocks to prevent Muslims from understanding the Risen Christ's love. This is true whether they were the British at the time that William Carey reached out to the people of India or when Hudson Taylor reached out in non-conventional ways to the multitudes of China such as wearing the type of clothing that the Chinese people were wearing at that time.

Major Objections To Making the Scripture of the Injeel/New Testament Available To Muslims In Culturally Sensitive Language

These objections will be stated in my awkward way. But I hope my obvious limitations in how I present them will not interfere with the perspective that I am convinced GOD would have me do my best to try to reasonably present them.

Objection One
When message presenters use religious vocabulary which is familiar to Muslims they compromise and undermine a correct belief in Jesus the Christ that does not adequately present him to Muslims as the pre-existent only begotten Son of GOD.

I personally see this objection as ludicrous when scholars feel obligated to build their foundation on what is absolutely the most objectionable terminology to Muslims in light of the Apostle Paul's caring instructions in Corinthians 9 to become all things to all men. Also, in discussing reasonable alternatives to the strong objections to the term “Son of GOD” for the Muslims, I believe that it is only fair that the critics also take into consideration this important and relevant factor.

When the Prophet Muhammad came on to the scene in the Arabian peninsula with his uncompromising message that ALLAH is ONE, the predominant belief in that relatively barren region was polytheism or the belief in families of gods. So the Prophet Muhammad's message and the message of the Qur'an was unequivacal that GOD is ONE and therefore could not have a son or sons or a wife or daughters. So the very up side of the Prophet's and the Qur'an's uncompromising message on the absolute Oneness of GOD is that he and the Qur'an succeeded in ridding the Arab Peninsula of Polytheism and idol worship with its powerful hub being located in idol worshipping, strongly polytheistic Mecca. So the new religion of Islam or submission to ALLAH, actually succeeded in ridding the fiercely independent Arabs of polytheism and idol worship with its debilitating excesses that were very hurtful to families and especially to vulnerable children.

But I sincerely ask, has either monotheistic Judaism or monotheistic Christianity ever given either the courageous Prophet Muhammad or the Qur'an any credit for cleansing the Arab Peninsula of the peoples' worship of families of gods to the worship and service of only one GOD-ALLAH? NO! He and the Qur'an have received very little credit or appreciation from members of monotheistic Judaism or Monotheistic Christianity for that amazing and GOD serving accomplishment. But instead he has received much condemnation.

Can these calloused critics truly be serious that the Messiah, as he was dying on the cross, should have told the repentant thief dying beside him that he must understand his pre-existence as eternal son of GOD before he could be forgiven and enter Paradise with him?

Objection Two
Today, critics have strong objections to the way that good news presenters render the term Son of GOD even though this term is only used by the scholar, Dr. Luke, Paul's travelling companion, a grand total of 3 times in the entire 28 long chapters of the transitional Book of the Acts of the Apostles. But many other titles are given to the Messiah instead of Son of GOD, in Acts.

Objection Three
The use of the Arabic Language word for GOD-ALLAH-is found extremely objectionable as supposedly referring to some objectionable pagan GOD. This objection is also absolutely ridiculous as the Arabic term ALLAH for GOD long predated Islam. When I go into any Christian home in Jordan as I often do, and pick up an Arabic translation of the Old and New Testament, as I often do, there is the word ALLAH in Arabic for GOD. Incidentally, the one time wonderful Plymouth Brethren Church that nurtured me so faithfully after I put my trust in the Risen Messiah while in the Navy in Okinawa, is where the Father-in-Law of the martyr in Equador performed the wedding ceremony for my wife of 38 years and myself. And though that is where the memorial service for my deceased wife was held, this church did a very strange, painful thing to me.

Two relatively young elders excommunicated me from that church last year. And the only tangible reason I understood about their reason for their excommunication of me is that on my website I have set up to communicate with Arab Muslims, not Western Christians, they implied that I am inappropriately radical when I dare to use the word ALLAH for GOD. This may mean to other similar Plymouth Brethren Churches that their church is allowing a potential TERRORIST to attend their communion service. And they said that my using ALLAH on my web site to reach Muslims would be very embarrassing to the members of this church.

Objection Four
Because of the terms that the Muslim friendly translators substitute for Son of GOD, Muslims might not fully grasp the nuanced meaning of the Christian Trinity. I find this objection also highly problematic since I myself had never heard of the Christian Trinity at the time the Risen Christ dramatically changed my life when I was a hard drinking sailor on Okinawa at the age of 20. Most Muslims have far more of a Spiritual approach to GOD/ALLAH than I did at the time that Christ brought dramatic changes in my own life, though the Trinity was unknown to me and I still have very little awareness of the Trinity's deeper meaning. This is just as I think most Plymouth Brethren don't truly understand this term Trinity that is never mentioned as Trinity in the Bible. Rather, the term Trinity was developed by some argumentive Greek theologians at a conference in Nicea, Greece. And I still don't understand the Orthodox meaning of Trinity even though I received a “B” grade in college level course taught by a Greek Orthodox theologian at the University of Washington. And I also have read a couple of books on the subject. So to make agreement on the Trinity a required litmus test for heaven, I find positively ridiculous. And I am convinced that our wise, loving GOD agrees that this requirement about the Trinity is ridiculous for Muslims.

Regarding the controversial term Trinity, I personally found the conversation liberating that I had with a Christian PHD scholar in Physics who had just returned from teaching in a University in Pakistan,He happened to be a close personal friend of the respected Christian martyr in Equador, Peter Fleming, whose father-in-laws first marriage ceremony was to marry my wife and I over fifty years ago.

This Christian Scholar said to me, “Tom, if Christians are truly sincere and honest about communicating with Muslims about the living Christ, they must be more careful about one especially important issue, Christians must stop being so dogmatic about how they must have the last word on what we refer to as the Trinity.” That observation came from the wisdom of a PHD in physics who as a physicist is very aware of the limitations in man's knowledge. And he had the benefit of having had long intensive conversations in Muslim Pakistan with equally bright, well trained in science and theology Pakistani Muslims regarding the concept of Trinity.

Objection Five
If translators are allowed to adopt words from the Qur'an, Muslims may feel they have the right to claim teaching from the Qur'an such as the Qur'an's supposed teaching that Jesus/Isa did not die on the cross. But what these critics fail to realize because of their lack of thoroughly examining the Qur'an, is that on closer examination of the Qur'an's An-Nisa 4:157, this verse only appears to teach that Jesus did not die on the cross. But in contrast, the Qur'an's Al-Im'ran 3:55 quotes no greater authority than ALLAH Himself in stating that Isa/Jesus would not only die but that ALLAH would also raise him to new life.

“And ALLAH said, O Isa/Jesus! I will Mutawafiik (Cause you to die) and raise you to myself…”Of course there is a need for discussion about the differences in statements in the Qur'an about Jesus/Isa with those in the Injeel. But the Christian communicator must stand on the cornerstone of the resurrection of the Messiah that is actually taught in the Qur'an if the servants of Christ is not afraid of getting to know the Qur'an's true teaching about the Resurrection of the Messiah beginning with Al-Im'ran 3:55 instead of beginning with the confusion in An-Nisa 4:157.

Objection Six
Regarding the use of the term word for the Messiah. Because there is some difference in the way that Christian theologians have historically used the term word, for the Christ and the way that Muslims have used the term word for Christ. Many Christian workers and scholars object to this substitution. But get real Christian workers. You are trying to help Muslims become followers of GOD, ALLAH's and the Qur'an's Risen Messiah. But you should not be trying to turn sincere Muslims into Christian theologians.

Objection Seven
For the sake of their rigid view of purity, legalists object to using Christ as a substitute for son of GOD which is the term which is so culturally sensitive to the Muslim because of strong objections to Polytheism. Again I remind the legalist that they are attempting to help Muslims love ALLAH's, the Injeel's and the Qur'an's Risen Messiah and are not trying to turn them into either Western Seminary graduates or Western Christian theologians.

Therefore, I sincerely ask. Why do some Christians represent themselves as sincere servants of the Risen Messiah who are attempting to communicate with Muslims for GOD. Yet, they appear to speak out of the opposites sides of their mouths when those same persons ferociously fight against other sincere servants of GOD who attempt to use more Reader Friendly Scriptures in their attempts to effective communicate with Muslims about the Injeel's and the Qur'an's Risen Messiah when they remove needless road blocks to this essential communication. This ferocious fight against these sincere servants of GOD who use Muslim friendly translations seems highly counterproductive if not ridiculous. In fact is seems even hostile to the Muslims, hostile to the Risen Messiah and hostile to the other servants, but all under the cover of scholarship, correct terminology and supposedly correct service to GOD. Furthermore, in their attack theology, the Risen Messiah seems to get misplaced while the self-righteous obstructionist are claiming to be correct faithful servants.

In my mind, what the critics are doing in the name of scholarship is a contradiction to what the Risen Messiah desires and is an abomination to the Risen Messiah who gave his life for those pretend defenders of the faith. From my perspective, if ever persons deserved to be labeled as calloused hypocrites, these obstructionists have effectively earned that label. I am truly not interested in calling these men insulting and demeaning names. But these men appear to have a very narrow view of what the Risen Christ is all about. As a result of their narrow view, they truly have no idea of how truly broad and damaging the negative ramifications are of what their narrow legalistic attitudes are causing to occur to GOD's often suffering, disefrananzed Muslim human beings.

These scholars who have contact with and out reach to the Muslim community are tempted to think in narrow dimensions that see little further than Muslims becoming individual followers of the Risen Messiah and becoming participants in small home fellowship groups which is a wonderful first step. But these critics think little of the salt and light broader influences that the Messiah spoke of as a positive impact on society. And broad awareness by society that the Risen Messiah is recognized as residing in the midst of that Muslim society will have a tremendous positive impact on the morals and attitudes of that society.

These scholars are preoccupied with such an issue as the Scriptures recognizing the Messiah as the eternal Messiah who pre-existed before coming into this world as a baby in Bethlehem and growing up in Nazareth. While this is a true teaching of Scripture and while to these scholars it is of crucial importance to them that Muslims see from their Injeel Scriptures that they are that the Messiah be addressed immediately as the Son of GOD and as a member of a Trinity, I see these rigid priorities as totally displeasing to GOD. Also, a rigid preoccupation with these priorities is excessively damaging to the potential of Muslim people to begin experiencing a living fellowship with GOD's living, Risen Messiah, who now spiritually resides among them.

Even if all of the conclusions that Christian Scholars have reached through their hours of study were to be true as they are so certain that they are, none of these issues are vital issues that are meant to overshadow the supernatural resurrection and his persuasive presence.

For the Scriptures are exceedingly clear that the Risen Messiah returns for those who love him. And a principle of learning is that we learn step by step, whether it is to learn to talk, or to walk or learning to drive a car. So the first and vital step is for Muslims to know and for Islamic society to become aware of is that GOD's Messiah has become a Muslim's own personal Messiah. And as the major sign of his being empowered by GOD to be any person's personal anointed Messiah is ALLAH empowering him to be raised from death. And for Muslims to be aware of ALLAH's Risen Messiah being among them is the salt and light aspect.

This is what the Messiah spoke of. The awareness of the Risen Messiah being among men actually begins to make the possibility of men respecting women and being less likely to grope women, beat women, rape women, demean women, force young women into marriages, abuse women, control women, etc. So it is GOD's Will that Muslim friendly Scriptures empower the Muslim environment to be aware of the Risen, caring Messiah's healing presence being among all Muslims. Thus, when these narrowed minded scholars insist that each copy of the Scriptures include wording that sets up unnecessary barriers rather than eliminating unnecessary barriers, they are callously unnecessarily, and needlessly, in their own passive aggressive way, hating Muslim women. So they demean all Muslims by causing the suffering that the absence of an awareness of his healing presence brings about.
