The Bush's Manipulation of Our Subconscious

Will Macho U.S. Create Taliban Pashtunistan?

"I set my mind to understand the stupidity of wickedness." If these words of the wise king Solomon were written today they undoubtedly would be: "I set my mind to understand the stupidity of the wicked President Bush's wicked Iraq War."

The theme of the Book of Ecclesiastes meaning "teacher" in which these words were written (Eccl. 7:25) is to reveal that a life not centered in GOD is both worthless and meaningless. Though President Bush publicly implies that the Biblical Just GOD of Abraham is directing the Iraq war in order to bring freedom to everyone in Iraq, there is not one shred of evidence in the entire Bible that Bush's kind of freedom is the kind of freedom that our Just GOD would ever spill rivers of blood to bring to any people. Therefore, as far as bringing positive freedom, Bush's unjust war of choice has been totally useless in bringing freedom no matter what many rich and powerful leaders of the U.S. callously claim.

The Power of the Subconscious

Whether we realize it or not, in the years since the tragic events of 9/11, many of us have continuously had our subconscious's manipulated by the Bush Administration to strategically influence our attitudes and behaviors. In the August 2, 2007 Intern. Herald Tribune the results were cited of a recent research study on the power of our subconscious to subtly guide and even control our behavior.

A psychologist at Yale University successfully manipulated the supposedly rational judgments of university students without them being at all aware of how he changed their behavior. These students were either handed a cup of coffee to hold for another person while they were on their way to answer a questionnaire or they were not handed a cup of coffee to hold. The students who had been asked to help the person temporarily hold the cup of coffee scored on the questionnaire they soon took, as being much warmer, more social and less selfish than the students who were not asked to help hold a cup of coffee for a student who had his hands full. Thus, being secretly manipulated to temporarily hold a cup of coffee for a person who appeared to be in need of help, strongly influenced the type of answers they gave on a questionnaire they soon filled out.

In light of such findings about how easy it is to manipulate people's minds, are we to naively assume that the manipulative and devious Bush Administration who had the "genius" Carl Rove as its amoral spiritual mentor constantly advising it on even the smallest nuances, was averse to using psychological manipulations of the public? Do we really think that in daily and weekly planning sessions the Rove led men did not discuss how to deceptively manipulate what the majority of the American people would think about consistently using violence to bring supposed freedom and supposed democracy to Muslims in the Middle East? Of course these opportunistic men would plan to use key words over and over for the media to hear which would manipulate the media to think that NOT  to provide freedom for a supposed enslaved Islamic people is either being disobedient to GOD or being disobedient to acceptable standards of humanitarian decency and is endangerig American security.

Mesmerized Media

You must also add to this mix, the professional ability of this Administration to successfully manipulate both the subconscious and conscious minds of a majority of the American media so that the mesmerized media repeats over and over and over the two key Bush trigger words  of Muslim  and Terrorist  with the word Freedom only sometimes being thrown into the mix by Bush himself like an expert chef not adding too much seasoning. So it is our confident President who is the main person to use the potent word freedom, but he uses it without ever acknowledging all of the Iraqi death and suffering which occurs while our military violently tries to coerce the resisters to accept his narrow definition of freedom. Many of us remain quite confused by what the wonderful word freedom truly means in the vague context in which he uses it. But the word itself sounds so wholesome that most of us finlly climb onto his "freedom" bandwagon that carries a large democracy banner. This occurs because we average Americans have little chance to make a clear, cognitive decision to resist the Bush Administration's evil and slick propaganda agenda. Shockingly, a clever public relations man named "Orr" even manipulated 20 million Americans to watch Bush's dog Barney present Bush propaganda on the web site he developed for White House propaganda that was even reported on by MSNBC's Steve Oberman.

Simply put, the American people have been flagrantly and immorally manipulated to callously approve of coercing and killing multitudes of the citizens of a formerly sovereign nation. We have approved this in order to supposedly "free" Muslims from the supposedly evil ideology of Islam which we have been repeatedly told will inevitably produce violent terrorism in the cities and streets of America. It is also quite difficult to filter out the truth in the midst of his negativity and blatant distortions about the threat that existed before he himself inflamed Muslims. Then he subtly throws in the will of the almighty which he associates with the positive word "freedom" which firmly has been planted in both our conscious and subconscious by his own active Bush myth factory. Therefore, to consistently be against Bush's beautiful appearing promises of "freedom for all that comes directly from his almighty, is similar to a father and mother of small children choosing to be against all types of ice cream. Then, without consciously recognizing all the chaos suffering and death that accompanies Bush's way of achieving his definition of "freedom", we finally give in and say to ourselves: "It is simply not right to force myself to be against freedom. Especially am I unwilling to be against freedom since my sincerely religious President has assured me that the almighty (of the supposed Bible he reads regularly) promises freedom to everyone."

Bush's New Almighty

President Bush told correspondents in the Roosevelt Room in the White house as reported by David Brooks in the July 18, 2007 International Harold Tribune: "It is more of a theological perspective. I do believe there is an Almighty, and I believe a gift of that Almighty to all is freedom. And I will tell you that is a principle that no one can convince me that doesn't exist."

President Bush nor anyone else bothers to mention that there is not one verse or one text in the entire Bible that links the kind of freedom Bush is speaking of, with any promise of freedom to all from the GOD of the Bible which Mr. Bush claims to read.

Further confusing our already overloaded minds is that his unique, vague, idealistic but unreality oriented almighty was thrown into his complicated mix and we don't even question whether there is one shred of evidence that his almighty has even a vague connection with the true GOD of Abraham revealed in the Bible. So our gullible, manipulated minds send us following a winding rabbit trail that leads to nowhere.

Did President Bush truly set out to link the Bible and freedom in this manipulative way in order to confuse us and deliberately manipulate us? No, not by himself. But did he quite possibly receive practical advice on what words to emphasize from his most trusted spiritual advisor, Rasputin, I mean Carl Rove? Most probably.

But the point is, that whether he or Carl Rove is behind his authoritatively speaking about freedom from the GOD of the Bible, he has not the vaguest idea of what he as the de facto leader of the world is talking about. When he speaks about the freedom his almighty gives as a gift to all, his confident declarations are related to no more than his hopeful imagination. (In fact his almighty's gift of "freedom to all" has much, much less relation to reality than his confident proclamations that the U.S. would plant democracy in Iraq.) So his own link of a gift of "freedom to all" with the true Almighty who actually does exist both in the pages of the Bible and in history, is only a link that is a figment of his rich imagination. His mythical link exists nowhere else.

Even for those who do not believe in any almighty and also have no respect for President Bush, when faced with the media's barrage of loose words being endlessly repeated, they are required to exercise unusual discipline in order to resist the clever Bush Administration's heavy weapons; the aura of the presidency, the appeal of freedom, the authority that comes with the supposed promise of the supposed Biblical Almighty, and the fear inspired by Islamic Terrorism.

Therefore, as these ideas constantly float to our conscious and subconscious from the radio and T.V. as well as from news print, our resistance is faced with a serious dilemma. We discover that if we are seriously against even any one of the members of the big three; the aura and authority of the presidency, the appeal of freedom, and the supposed stamp of endorsement of the supposed Biblical Almighty on Bush's definition of freedom, then we have the appearance of a problem that we must solve. If we are against any one of the three, then a strong message unfairly assaults our minds. By implication we must not be sufficiently against the imminent threat of Islamic terrorism and are therefore not patriotic. Furthermore, we are repeatedly given the unfair message that if we are not sufficiently against Islamic terrorism and for patriotism, we do not really care about the importance of American security. So this steady diet of a powerful mixture of confusing deas have been both professionally and inadvertently planted in the American conscious and subconscious. Thus, for many of us, this potent mixture of conflicting ideas has produced an overload for our minds and is too much for us to adequately process. So the confused and relatively clueless Bush is the one who gets his way in a manner that is wildly disproportionate to what is beneficial for the supposedly stable nation of the U.S. Yet many otherwise productive people have not been able to process why such a clueless president has been allowed to have so much destructive and counter-productive influence. So who are the big losers from this barrage of conflicting and competing ideas?

Bush's New GOD of Bloodshed

Yes, the main victims are the innocent people of the predominately Muslim Middle East Nation of Iraq. But also many exploited victims of an elaborate "Con Job" are in the West. No, we have not lost our physical lives like so many Iraqis and Palestinians. Nevertheless, though we have not lost our lives, we should lose our self respect. A wealthy powerful con artist known professionally as "the Bush" has robbed us of our rationality. He has even successfully convinced too many of us that the Bible and the Quran's Just GOD of Abraham

Abraham has a contemporary agenda of causing rivers of blood to flow in Iraq and possibly soon in other parts of the Middle East in order to bring the Muslim people poisonous freedom from the poisonous Bush.

Furthermore, on this general subject of manipulation by democracies, Ramzi Baroud contributed an article to the August, 2007 Jordan Times entitled "€˜Managing Consent' the art of war, democracy and public relations".

In this revealing article he exposes how it was actually the nephew of Sigmund Freud (the discoverer of the subconscious) who himself developed a strategy of public manipulation, showing how manipulation is essential to democracy. Mr. Baroud gives the vivid example of how both Tony Blair and George W. Bush applied Freud's nephew's principles in order to manipulate democracy's anti-war movement. These two men's staff skillfully turned the most potent anti-war movement's arguments around and

used its own arguments against itself by demonstrating that the fortunate people of Iraq who had the positive benefit of the massive U.S. military invading them would now have the opportunity to reap the benefits of democracy. In this spin, the invasion and occupation of Iraq was wonderfully positive rather than negative. So what these two evil men succeeded in doing more than fulfilled Freud's ominous prophecy when he solemnly warned that the subconscious, when manipulated through democracy, would lead to unleashing sadistic wars  and uncontrollable violence.

Thus, ironically it was this nephew of Freud, Edward Berney, who himself developed in the early 20th century the very principles that the Bush administration has now so effectively used to exploit democracy and is desperately trying to export this exploitable democracy to Iraq. So this democracy has unleashed the sadistic wars and violence in Iraq that his Uncle Freud accurately predicted that democracy in the U.S. would lead to.

So now planting democracy in Iraq has more than fulfilled Freud's worse predictions. By this supposedly positive outcome in Iraq, Iraq is now experiencing its own democratic opportunity to nurture its own versions of Carl Rove and Roberto Gonzales to help the Iraqi people experience the positive fruits of democracy's freedom. So the now freed Iraqis also have the freedom to spread a sadistic  civil war which has resulted in the uncontrollable violence predicted by Freud. Regretfully, Bush's manipulation principles have once again been powerfully effective in producing the violence and destruction that Freud predicted that democracy would be manipulated to produce and the freedom which Bush's newly created almighty supposedly wants for all people everywhere.

Our Collective Evil Subconscious Macho Mentality

Beyond the brainwashing of individual's subconscious by the Bush Administration, is an even more permanent problem. For a heavy weight prize fighter like Muhammad Ali to constantly boast, "I am the greatest" and then to back up that boast by defeating every challenge may be the epitome of the individual "macho mentality". For people and nations to have accepted that kind of public boasting from that one isolated Afro-American prize fighter who had overcome racial barriers to become the greatest heavy-weight fighter in the world and to publicly boast about his great accomplishment was acceptable to the majority of the world's people. However, it is now severely resented by many nations that our nation thinks it has the right to loudly and arrogantly proclaim to the entire world: "We, the U.S., are the greatest!"

For other nationsto continue to tolerate this arrogant public message of "Our nation is superior to your nation" has been exceptionally difficult for them. But for other nations to keep hearing the second part of our statement is even more wearing and obnoxious. "Because our nation is better than your nation, then our nation has sort of a €˜divine right' to tell your nation what to do or to at least to determine what is best for your nation."

But after this comes the even more problematic third part of the subconscious, arrogant macho attitude that usually becomes quite conscious. Understandably, a rapidly increasing number of nations very deeply resent this last result of our superior "macho mentality."

Because our nation has this arrogant attitude that we possess an implied divine right to tell your weaker nation what to do, if you will not or do not obey us, we think that we have the right to change your mind about obeying us. Therefore, we consider it our right and our duty to use either our superior economic might and/or our superior military might to economically manipulate you or to militarily coerce you to do our will. Of course we have convinced ourselves that it is really best for you, best for us and best for the world if you obey us. So you must not resist doing what our nation decides is best for you. (But all of us actually know that it is not necessarily what is truly best for you but what is best for us and what is best for Israel.) Thus, if you then resist our enlightened will, we will use whatever means is necessary to coerce you to conform to what we want even if it takes rivers of your blood and streams of our blood tofulfill our "altruistic" goals. (But our nation will later meekly ask ourselves and whom ever will listen: "But why do they hate us?")

The Invisible Iraqi Human Beings

As a calloused illustration of what CNN shows to international viewers about how our leaders could not care less about the suffering of Iraqis, I will tell about a very recent personal incident. I sat here in Jordan alone in front of our T.V. and watched the entire Larry King interview of our arrogant and calloused Vice President, Dick Cheney, (early August '07).

Agency estimates are that over one million Iraqis have so far been killed in this U.S. war of choice in Iraq. Hundreds of thousands more have been maimed and displaced, with two million refugees in Syria and one million in Jordan and tens of thousands in other places, all at least temporarily but multitudes permanently driven out of their own home country by the war the U.S. chose to initiate. So I was shocked and appalled at what was never once mentioned in the entire interview.

Though there is not a more experienced interviewer in the world than Larry King and though both he and Dick Cheney were well aware that millions upon millions of Middle Eastern Arab viewers were watching this one hour interview, what was not said spoke far more loudly than what was said. As far as I was able to determine, not one word of sympathy or empathy or compassion or regret was spoken by either man about the suffering, death, displacement and sorrow that has occurred to ALLAH'S dear human beings who are Iraqis. It was as though Iraqis don't truly exist. All that is important in Iraq is whether the U. S. political and military goals of Bush and Cheney and those obediently serving their coercive policies will fail or succeed.

But why should I have been shocked or even surprised by this inexcusable omission? By now I should be painfully aware that as far as the U.S. is concerned, this war in Iraq has virtually nothing to do with Iraqi human beings and has virtually no relationship to their well being no matter what our President states publicly. Rather, it is about oil; it is about billions and billions of dollars of contracts; it is about the future of America's prosperity; it is supposedly about protecting America from further terrorist attacks from those supposedly Iraqi terrorists who were supposedly connected with 9/11 which Iraqis were definitely were not; it is about how many dead and maimed American casualties the American public will tolerate before enough Americans cry out, "enough"; it is about American leaders' inflated egos; it is about certain leaders future places in history; it is about a clueless President and deceptive Vice President leading a paralyzed Congress around by the nose; it is about well over 190,000 lethal American weapons turning up missing and are obviously now being used by the enemy to kill Americans; it is about an hysterical social/political experiment by at least one American intellectual, Paul Wolfowitz, who thought that this was the one right moment in history that the U.S. alone should show the entire Middle East that America, by using its superior military advantage, could plant democracy in the entire Middle East, beginning with Iraq. But, most emphatically this detestable war, as far as American leadership is concerned has nothing to do with ordinary Iraqi human beings, who, according, to the Bible and I assume according to the Quran, have been created in the spiritual image of the one Just GOD of Abraham.

So each of the killed or mutilated Iraqis who were non-existent during CNN's "Larry King Live" interview with V.P. Dick Cheney, are considered exceptionally precious to both GOD and to many, many of their suffering and devastated loved ones. Day and night their still living loved ones cry streams of tears over their loss while they rage in their hearts against the U.S. who brought this chaos to their beloved nation. But Larry King and Dick Cheney deserve our special thanks for so effectively clarifying that the reasons for this horrible war have nothing to do with the cruelly exploited people of Iraq.

Yes, there are many, many moral problems with the exceptionally immoral, evil, "Might Makes Right Macho Mentality" of the U.S. in addition to being morally repugnant and creating massive human suffering. One of the most serious but least discussed problems for the U.S. is that this wicked, wicked attitude against Iraq has gotten our nation into deep, deep, deep trouble with a Just, Transcendent God of the Universe whose Scriptures emphatically proclaim that GOD has clearly stated, "Vengeance is mine and I will repay." These same Scriptures also ominously proclaim that "Our GOD is a consuming fire." They also solemnly warn leaders: "Since you have not hated bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you." (Hebrews 10:30, Hebrews 12:29 and Ezekiel 35:6)

Try to rationalize away these explicit proclamations. But you must be aware that these words are not in the Scriptures just to take up space. Please also factor in the words of the author of our Declaration of Independence who came to his ominous conclusion, not from reading the Scripture, but from reflecting on how wicked, wickedness is, and that it makes logical sense that The Omnipotent GOD will not allow wickedness to be unpunished.

"I tremble for my nation when I reflect that GOD is Just." It was not a small thing to Him that our nation is afflicted with an extremely deadly disease whose title may sound silly and even benign but it causes rivers of innocent blood to flow; the deadly disease of "Arrogant Macho Mentality".

No matter what someone who has achieved so much international status as Cable T.V.'s Chris Matthews of "Hard Ball/MSNBC", thinks about the wonderful value of a U.S. President being macho, he is dead wrong. (If you will remember, it was Chris Matthews who exhausted all of his adjectives in proclaiming the majesty or our Commander In Chief being "macho" after he naively proclaimed "Mission Accomplished" just before his own initiated blood bath began in Iraq.) Our Transcendent Just GOD of Abraham sees that though machoism may seem superficial, in a leader of a mightily weaponized nation it is a lethal bacteria that can lead to the agonizing deaths of tens of thousands of human beings. Our Just Creator of the Universe detests arrogance and considers injustice despicable in a national leader and machoism gives birth to both. Since our detestabe arrogance is woven so deeply into our nation's psyche, it consistently leads to injustice and to the destroying of innocent lives. But the Just Transcendent GOD of Abraham will only tolerate such wicked deeds by an evil macho nation for a limited time.

Pakistan and the Newly Macho Obama Man

In addition to GOD no longer tolerating U.S. arrogance and injustice, the people of most nations are now virtually screaming "enough!" Yet our leaders and most of us ignore their screams. We vastly underestimate the depth and the enormous threat to the U.S. that their present hate poses for us in the future. To convert what I have just said into practical reality, I will abruptly switch our topic to the suddenly "macho" "Barack Obama man."

I personally have greatly respected Senator Obama and have found him to be a breath of fresh air in Washington D.C. Especially have I appreciated the reasoned way he has approached complex foreign policy issues. His refusal to come up with quick answers to complicated situations even when it has made it appear to dearly cost him in Presidential debates, has been refreshing. In fact, his very willingness not to try to be "macho" was one of the qualities I had appreciated. His obvious conviction that dialogue rather than dialogue avoidance  with other leaders was a priority I thought would be quite helpful in a potential new President instead of relying on power politics and "might makes right." I have thought that if there were any one American who could become U.S. President and could possibly rescue our reeling nation from the vicious downward slide that the Bush Administration has rapidly accelerated, Brack Obama mght be the only person.

That was until the extreme pressure of our essentially macho oriented presidential campaign apparently drove him to make unwise, unnecessary, inappropriate macho statements. He abruptly proposed using U.S. fire power and U.S. troops on the very complicated and volatile Pakistan border with Afghanistan. This was if President Musharraf himself would not quickly take more definitive military steps against the Al Qaeda and Taliban in the 10,510 square mile area with Afghanistan. (This area is known as FATA- "Federally Administered Tribal Area.") It mainly contains about half of 41 million mountainous fierce tribal Pashtuns who live on both sides of the Afghan./Pakistan border.

Whether or not presidential candidate Obama is under pressure to prove that he is not a "foreign policy wimp" as an article in the Jordan Times referred to him, he must be very careful to not provide simple answers for exceptionally complicated problems. When he emphaticaly stated that he would use American military might against proven terrorist targets in Pakistan if President Musharraf would not take appropriate action, his enthusiasm trumped his wisdom. His proposal greatly risks exacerbating the problems in a complicated multi-ethnic state which could turn it into something much worse than our Iraq disaster. I am personally convinced that this presidential candidate's sudden shift to a "shoot from the lip" John Wayne mentality was precipitated by the excessive pressure from a predominantly macho U.S. electorate which prefers to vote for a decisive, impulsive, macho Bush type than more cerebral thoughtful Gore or Kerry types. Regretfully, however, we should have learned from the Bush man fiasco that: "act decisively and to hell with the unintended consequences" will never provide the wise world statesmanship that both the U.S. and our fragile world so badly needs.

Whether Pakistani President, General Musharraf has yet been willing to shed his military uniform or not or whether he has yet decisively moved against the Taliban, the Al Qaeda and the some twenty million mountainous tribal Pashtuns, he has so far capably held together a rapidly ticking time bomb named Pakistan. Significantly, it is President Musharraf who has the needed understanding of the ethnic rivalries in Pakistan and the horrible potential for the Taliban and Pushtan nationalism to merge and virtually end the nation of Pakistan as we know it. If this very possible scenario does happen, the U.S. could be forced to deal with an "Islamic nation of Pashtunistan" in addition to a fragmented Iraq partially controlled by the three explosive entities of a Shiia nuclear Iran, a Taliban dominated Afghanistan and a fragmented Pakistan in upheaval. The term "unintended consequences" s has occurred in Iraq could and probably would take on a new meaning well beyond the wildest imagination of any of the presidential candidates of either the democratic or republican party.

(I have difficulty in bringing myself to admit it, but up to this point President Bush has apparently allowed President Musharraf to intelligently do his job in about the best way he could which may still prove to be not good enough to hold the fragile time bomb named Pakistan, together. This has been despite the intense pressure on the U.S. President to put additional pressure on Musharraf to push him toward more military aggressiveness further than he has so far pushed him. But the sad fact is that the situation in Pakistan is so complicated and volatile that it may presently defy either a military or political answer and the solution must be spiritual.)

But it is clearly President Musharraf who does understand the exceptionally complicated explosive dynamics in all of Pakistan and especially on its rugged, mountainous Afghan border. As a result, so far this experienced military man has balanced the conflicting priorities so that chaos has not yet broken loose in the explosive Pakistan/Taliban mountainous area.

It is an unpleasant reality that the twenty million or so Pakistani tribal Pashtuns are already extremely volatile, enraged and resentful. They have been the ones who have been the main victims of the U.S.-NATO bombing on the Taliban with them enduring an estimated 5,000 civilian casualties since 2001 with some 50,000 people being displaced also resulting in heavy civilian casualties Also, many of those Muslims who were massacred in the July '07 "Red Mosque" security conflagration were Pashtuns, so that their rage against the Pakistani Punjabi majority under Musharraf is already at a boiling point.

Thus, into this time bomb in the border mountainous area Mr. Obama and many others would have us send vulnerable American troops to control the well armed, already volatile Pashtun/Taliban border between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Senator Obama, please get real and come back to a real world made up of flesh and blood people who are struggling to survive. Consider carefully how incapable and ineffective the mighty U.S. has been in controlling its own southern border with Mexico. Remember that our southern border has a significant river to help in keeping out the relatively friendly potential Mexican laborers desperate for work in the U.S. The area to patrol between Mexico and the U.S. is not ruggedly mountainous and those attempting to cross the U.S. border are neither enraged nor are they armed to the teeth.

Also, please factor in the reality of the Pashtun Generals in the Pakistani army who serve in that explosive area. If they become any more offended and disillusioned with the Punjabi dominated government, a brutal and uncontrollable civil war could or would break out between Punjabi factions and Pashtuni factions in Pakistan that could potentially dwarf the vicious, bloody civil war now raging in Iraq. Please don't forget that dozens of Pashtuni madrasa students who were killed in the strongly resented bloody July massacre by Punjabi army units in the Islamabad revered Red Mosque. So that Mosque blood bath has already ignited severe hostility between both Punjab and Pashtun factions of the army and Pakistani society.

With due respect to the intelligence reports consulted by you on the Pakistan border situation, Senator, on the basis of articles I have read by a variety of Middle Eastern and Asian experts, I have strong disagreement with your macho U.S. bombs and bullets and American show of force proposal. This complex situation has less than a zero chance of responding positively to major U.S. military interference. But such interference has at least a 95% chance of causing very serious unintended consequences which will definitely make the situation much, much worse than it now is.

Senator, a thoughtful man like you must have deep convictions that many situations are much too complicated for U.S. bombs and bullets macho activities. For you to be saber rattling in this situation is extremely foolish and dangerous and is not at all presidential. It may indeed get you more votes in the presidential primaries but it will not at all win you respect from leaders in Asia or the Middle East, whose respect the U.S. has already lost and desperately needs to win back.

O Senator Obama and whomever else will listen. The time is over for the U.S. to immediately revert to a macho mentality the minute that persuasion and diplomacy fail to immediately achieve for us what we think we must have. Yes, the time has come for the U.S. to mobilize to rid ourselves of our own destructive counter productive macho, arrogant mentality.

Religious leaders, U.S. political leaders, educational leaders, U.S. members of the media, military leaders, members of the entertainment industry, leaders in athletics, members of unions, members of the tourist industry, of the agricultural industry, all health care workers of America and all who care about America's future, please unite to take immediate steps to fight the deadly disease of the arrogant U.S. macho mentality. Its deadly bacteria has already crept in and infected every facet of America and has become of epidemic proportions under the corrupt leadership of Paul Wolfowitz, Dick Cheney, George Bush, Carl Rove, Sean Hannity, Chris Matthews, Rush Limbaugh and many, many more. They are rapidly destroying our nation and causing a vaporous, nauseous smell to be emitted by our macho arrogant mentality that is offending the nostrils of a vast majority of the world that we must have as our friends, not as our enemies. Worst of all and most dangerous ofall, it is like our nation is making an obscene gesture with our middle finger, not only to our Just GOD of Abraham but to a significant proportion of the entire Islamic world.

Oh, please listen, all who can sense the immense damage that is being done, because it even now may be too late to change. We must humble ourselves under the Authority of our Mighty GOD and His Risen Messiah (if we believe in Him) and begin brainstorming about what we can do to modify the horrible consequences of the destructive subconscious and conscious, arrogant macho mentality that is now a rampant, deadly disease which has infected the psyche and soul of our entire nation. But especially does this lethal disease affect our international political media culture. We have lost necessary perspective on the world in which we want our children to peaceably live. With the destructive, arrogant macho mentality  that has afflicted us, we are agressively manipulating masses of people in the other nations of the world to strongly desire to destructively pay us back in whatever they can by facilitating our entire nation's total collapse. It is not only Al Queda types who are puling for our nation's collapse but millions and millions of people in many, many nations whom we have deeply alienated and who no longer respect what our nation is supposed to stand for.

Please compare the following exceptionally decisive and unambiguous quote from the usually thoughtful Barack Obama with the delicate realities of the Pakistani Afghanistani region. Then realize that if a thoughtful, intelligent, stable person as Senator Obama can be so easily seduced into reverting to a mentality of violent arrogant machoism, what chance do the rest of us have to successfully resist machoism's power to also seduce us?

Both of these quotations are from the Jordan Times, August 6, 2007 in an article by Rob Asghan entitled, "Why Obama's Macho Act in South Asia is Misguided".

"If we have actionable intelligence about high value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won't act, we will."  so stated Obama.

A constructive criticism from the author of the article stated: "A born-again hardliner, Obama can find it easy to talk about storming Pakistan's border to patrol the Pakistan-Afghan border more effectively."

In contrast to what the mighty U.S. military is accomplishing by throwing multiple billions of dollars, massive technical weapons and tens of thousands of vulnerable, valuable bodies at complex problems while failing to win friends and not plant either freedom or democracy, please note what Iran has astonishly accomplished in approximately the same time frame. Please keep in mind that Iran has expended much less money, used much fewer weapons, lost many, many less human beings with much less loss of precious blood and have alienated for fewer people.

While we have successfully accomplished much less democratizing than Iran, compare what we have accomplished with our massive awkward attempts; please keep in mind what our competitor, Iran, has accomplished with a less violent strategy and with much, much fewer resources. The painful agonizing irony is that Iran is actually winning hearts and minds by encouraging democracy elsewhere although its clerics relentlessly stifle democracy in their own country.

While the U.S. is negotiating billions and billions of dollars of technical weapon's deals with the Saudis and other Gulf nations by using hard power, Iran ironically is accomplishing much more with people's hearts and minds with the soft power of mainly propaganda and financial aid which has led to the people they influence actually winning democratic elections. In contrast, the much mightier U.S. with the use of the hard power of, encouraging massive weapons purchases has made minimal gains in reaching people's hearts and minds though our leaders constantly talk about democracy and freedom. But we have made one gain that we consider constructive. We have slightly helped our trade deficit by selling more and more weapons to other nations so that more and more precious blood can be spilled.

Quoting from the Sunday, August 5, 2007 Herald Tribune article by Xarim Sadjadpour, "The Wrong way to Contain Iran" he states ""today Iran's preferred vehicle of choice to spread it's power and influence throughout the Middle East is ironically democratic elections. "the strong Iran supported electoral showings of Hamas in Palestine, the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Hezballah in Lebanon, and Shiite co-religionists in Iraq, has Theran confident that their Islamist friends have won the regions  hearts and minds, while western-oriented liberals are in retreat."

The author then quoted Iranian Supreme leader Ayatolah Khamani revealing how America's "shoot €˜em and kill €˜em" macho mentality until they become democrats, is losing out to the softer approach of Iran that costs much less money and spills much less precious blood.

The Ayatolah confidently states: "Today, if a referendum is held in any Islamic country, the people will vote for people supporting Islam and opposing the United States."

Please consider carefully the implications of this potent quotation from the confident Muslim Iranian Ayatolah. Then please ask yourself, " Is the present U.S. cultural priority of remaining primarily dependent on our arrogant macho mentality, taking our nation in a constructive direction? Or, is our macho priority only guaranteeing that our nation will have long waiting lists to attend our crowded military academies in order to train the needed multitudes of new officers we must have to implement our macho mentality? But will we have a sufficient number of competent medical staff in our equally crowded veteran's hospitals to effectively care for our wounded who are the vulnerable victims of our dysfunctional macho mentality?

Survival>

Our arrogant macho now must go,
So winds of ALLAH's healing blow.
When bombs and blood are what we sew,
Revenge and death are what we grow.

Coercion - Not The Answer

Webster's Dictionary defines coerce as "bringing about by force or intimidation." Therefore, after reading the quote by the person who is the leading candidate to be the next U.S. President, we can appreciate the dread of foreign nations regarding the future heavy handed tactics they will continue to experience from the U.S. in the after Bush era. The following in the quote from Mrs. Hillary Clinton from an August, 2007 interview given to Newsweek magazine which blatantly further fuels their dread.

Please put yourself in the place of a constructive, good citizen in a foreign country who is hoping the U.S. will take the best interests of the world into consideration and not just the narrow interests of the U.S., as you read this candid quote from this interview.

"I have always believed that American force was there as the strongest tool in our tool box for leaching the world and pursuing American national interests" But I think that the threat of national force backed up by coercive diplomacy is a very strong position for the U.S. to be in."

Why do we continue to wonder why other nations continue to hate us when our leaders continue to say to them, "you must do what is in the U.S. national interests or your people will experience the consequences from the €˜strongest tool in the box which is our highly weaponized military' which we do not hesitate to use to advance our national interests. Please notice that we don't come across as having any concern about what is in the best interest of the highly interdependent global community of nations.

Significantly, there is an exceptionally relevant article in the latest Nov./Dec. 2007 Foreign Policy journal which supports how the lazy if not arrogant attitudes of Americans have given us the war we deserve. Fittingly, the article is entitled, "The War We Deserve" written by Alisdair Roberts of Syracuse University.

"Americans now ask more of their government but sacrifice less than ever before. It's an unrealistic, even deadly, way to fight a global war. And, unfortunately, that's how the American people want it."

He emphasizes that our present foreign policy approach will continue because this war is beyond being the primary responsibility of a few powerful neocons and that the American people must shoulder the blame.

Yes, our cable news commentators and our multitude of talk radio hosts endlessly wag their tongues. But little of what they say about American superiority or the U.S. right to do this or to do that to a weaker nation relates to reality or to the fact that GOD is Just and will most certainly judge our nation for our present wickedness in Iraq and potential future wickedness in other nations.

Please consider the following military realties written in the August 8 Int. Herald Tribune by a true statesman, Brent Scowcroft, who was National Security Advisor under the first President Bush and under President Gerald Ford. Incidentally, he has also said words to the effect that he thought he used to know Dick Cheney but does not even recognize him now.

"Part of the problem is the nature of power has been changing" As we are finding in Iraq, we are being wrested to a draw by opponents who are not even a state adversary. Our carrier battle groups,  our  heavy tank divisions,  our satellite imaging systems - all the pillars of our ability to project power to contain and beat back the challenges of a conventional superpower rival- aren't of much use."

Understanding The Times

His reflective final four words of "aren't of much use", indeed do not project our usually "arrogant, macho mentality." In vivid contrast, they are the hard, true words exposing 21st century reality. They were not spoken by a weapon's salesman or an administration spin artist. Rather, they were spoken by a realist who is desperately and almost franticly is challenging us to adjust to the world in which we now live rather than the world of unchallenged American superiority where it is more comfortable for ourselves and our aspiring presidential candidates to pretend that we still live.

His real words attempt to awaken us to a world that is truly not the world in which Dick Cheney, George Bush, Carl Rove, cable news and glib talk radio hosts think that we still live. I am also afraid that the real world where America is truly struggling and cannot be fixed by fancy rhetoric, is not the world in which the current leading presidential candidates are telling us that we live in order to make themselves more electable.

We must force ourselves and our leaders to realize that we can no longer rest on our past position of international favor and international superiority. Thus, we must find men and women national political leaders who have the necessary "understanding of the times" as certain advisors to kings had an understanding of the times in the Old Testament. If our leaders and our people do not make the necessary intellectual adjustment, our nation will not survive. Please read I Chronicles 12:32- "men of Issachar who had an understanding of the times""

If an "understanding of the times" was so important in the relatively slow moving Old Testament times, think how much more vital an understanding of the times is in this rapidly moving 21st century with its globalization, information explosion and daily technical advances.

For if our nation does not soon discover the real world we now live in and adjust to our current times, a few words from an old song will accurately describe our nation. "We have been had bad, dad."

Of course we have already been had bad, in Iraq. Or, in Iraq, "they have given the wham to Uncle Sam." But whatever words we use, it is obvious that at last we must now build bridges of peace with GOD and peace with man or we most certainly will be "had bad".

Ironically, it is the very Americans who are daily sacrificing their lives, their limbs and their blood on the streets of Iraq who are the ones who often have not been seduced by America's sick macho mentality. For instance, in the August 20, 2007 Int. Herald Tribune, seven courageous sergeants from the 82nd Airborne division together wrote the most nuanced, reality oriented report on the utter failure of weapons and American blood to accomplish anything meaningful and lasting in Iraq. If every American read three times what these seven brilliant non commissioned officers wrote, we would all beg forgiveness from our military men and women. Then we would weep and pray and tear out our hair and immediately impeach Dick Cheney and George Bush for their wicked crimes against humanity for initiating and continuing a senseless war in Iraq that will not be won by anyone, but will be lost by everyone if negotitions and reconciliation do not replace weapons.

Conclusion

I truly wish that all of my conclusions were false about how the U.S. is resented world-wide for the sinister macho way we abuse other nations. But new confirming evidence came to me about our counter productive mentality less than one hour after I thought I had completed this paper with the two words, "had bad". That is when my wife handed me the August 9, 2007 issue of the Int. Herald Tribune here in Amman Jordan. The headlines of a front page article may seem as not a big deal to many. But I am afraid to both GOD and to many others as well as to myself, these charges if true are the difference between life and death; the difference between callousness and compassion; the difference between sensitivity and recklessness; being bitterly hated and being respected; the difference between not worrying about your nation having a peaceful future or choosing tohave international multitudes justifiably enraged at your nation and the macho "might makes right" calloused policies of our leaders. But it is our nation's leaders, not our foot soldiers, who do not respect the human life of foreigners.

Please consider carefully the implications the following headline on the front page of the Tribune has for the future of the U.S. regarding our disrespect from other nations. Will not many such headlines also futher motivate enraged young men to want to consider the U.S. as a target for their terrorism? "U.S. Army and U.K. are at odds in Afghanistan".

"British commanders say air strikes kill too many civilians". "A senior British commander in Afghanistan" said he had asked the U.S. military to withdraw its special forces from his area of operations because the high level of civilian casualties they have caused was making it difficult to win over local people."

"A U.S. military spokesman denied the request was ever made."

The four super large lessons for U.S. leaders to learn from this seemingly insignificant incident are:

1.        Other nations appear to have much more concern for civilian casualties (lives) than does the U.S.

2.        The U.K. seems to connect more than does the U.S., the killing of innocent civilians with the future attitudes of foreign people toward their nation than does the U.S.

3.        The U.S seems to continually resist getting the message about the vital importance of not shedding the innocent blood of precious human beings. Instead the U.S. officials put the emphasis and their energy into the denial that no official request was ever made by the British for the U.S. to stop killing the people the British were trying to win over. Instead of refusing to admit that human life is less important to the U.S., GOD's Will is that we admit it and adjust our policy.

4.        The U.S. appears to strongly prefer remaining in denial, always speaking from a position of superiority and self righteousness rather than admitting the changes we must make in order to survive as a prosperous nation because you cannot be prosperous if you are alone and without friends and allies.

Tragically, the foregoing incident provides a vivid microcosm of the horrible pit the U.S. arrogantly insists on digging for itself. As a nation we are having great difficulty acknowledging that there are other equally valuable human beings and equally entitled human beings sharing this earth with the people of the U.S.

Significant Questions

Please recall which leader made the following statement. Was it President George W. Bush or was it King Solomon?

"I set my mind to understand the stupidity of wickedness."

Your reply will help you determine your personal answer to these next six relevant questions.

1.        Do you think that current U.S. leadership is moving the nation in a positive or negative direction?

2.        Do you think that a supposedly mature democracy consistently chooses wiser leaders than the rulers who ordinarily rule over monarchies?

3.        Do you think that ALLAH/GOD would ever consider a certain national leader to be stupid and/or wicked?

4.        Do you think that ALLAH/GOD will hold wicked leaders responsible for the suffering and death that he, she or they may visit upon innocent, vulnerable people?

5.        Do you think that when the Bible and the Holy Quran are both read and understood in the way that ALLAH intended, and if they do both present the same Risen, now living Messiah who is spiritually present everywhere simultaneously, would it be beneficial and wise for the Muslims of the Middle East to fully embrace him?

6.        Do you truly think that it makes good sense for the precious Muslim people of the Middle East to continue to reject the spiritual comfort, the spiritual counsel, the spiritual understanding, the spiritual healing and the spiritual help that ALLAH's Risen Messiah, born from a pure virgin in Bethlehem, is desiring to share with each Muslim, and instead continue to be dependent on the mostly self-serving guidance and support with strings attached, of the U.S.?

Your answer to each of these questions is important to you, to your family, to your mosque, to your religion and to your nation.

An additional request is this. I ask all Arabic speaking Muslims to more than once thoughtfully read each of the key Arabic verses from the Holy Quran that I will list at the end of this paper. But please read them in Arabic, not in English. Then, after thinking about the meaning that each verse intends to convey rather than recall what you may have been told that each verse is supposed to mean, come to a new personal conclusion. Is it not quite reasonable that these important verses from the Holy Quran, in the Quarn's original language together emphatically demonstrate that overall the Quran was intended to teach and does indeed teach that ALLAH's own Messiah did experience death? Then later, (the Injeel, which the Quran repeatedly states that it confirms, teaches that it was approximately three days later) by ALLAH's great power and great wisdom, that he was raised up alive from that death. But since the Jewish leaders wanted so desperately for him to be dead forever, tha it appeared to the Jews (shubbiihalahum) that they had been successful in permanently killing him and permanently crucifying him. But they had neither permanently killed him nor permanently crucified him as the next verse in the Quran so emphatically states.

The obvious reason that it is true that they had not truly killed him or truly crucified him, is because ALLAH did not allow him to stay dead. So the Holy Quran's one verse emphatically insists that ALLAH's Messiah was indeed neither killed nor crucified. But the Jews were so deceived by what appeared to them to be true, (shubbihalahim), what they wanted to be true, assumed to be true and conjectured to be true, that they had killed ALLAH's Mesiah forever, was definitely not true. For emphatically, the moment ALLAH raised His Messiah up alive, one reality became absolutely, literally true. Most certainly, in the literal sense that killed or crucified means permanent death, the son of Maryam had neither been killed nor had he been crucified.

Therefore, when sincere Muslims consider the true meaning and actual intention of these several key Arabic verses in the Holy Quran with fresh eyes and an unbiased mind, Muslims are introduced to a wonderful new reality. When they consider those verses together as a unit with the truth of each verse influencing how the other verses are to be understood, a beautiful truth from ALLAH is suddenly revealed to all Islam; ALLAH'S Messiah both died and rose and is mysteriously but invisly present among us compassionately and patiently waiting to be received.  But, for this sublime reality of this treasure of truth to be unlocked, all of the verses together must be understood to be announcing this wonderfully profound, exciting, relevant reality; ALLAH'S Messiah is alive. At this very moment he is spiritually walking among us. He is understanding our concerns, knowing our thoughts and even hearing our conversations.

Therefore, even in the midst of the U.S. ignited sectarian violence of Iraq, his presence is there as he deeply experiences and even absorbs the suffering of the Iraqi people. But sadly, his presence is not recognized by most nor is his living presence yet welcome.

He is also in the midst of the exploited Palestinians as they experience prolonged and calloused injustice from the Israelis assisted by the U.S. But his presence is not recognized by most nor is his living presence yet welcome.

He is in the midst of the Arab monarchies that the Americans exploit and manipulate. But his presence is not yet recognized nor is his living presence yet welcome.

He is in the midst of the potential civil war among Muslim brothers in Pakistan and among the Muslim brothers on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. But his powerful presence is not recognized nor is his living presence yet welcome.

He is in the midst of the suffering and feuding Lebanese. Though he is in the midst of the Christians there, most don't recognize him because they have recklessly traded his living presence among them for weapons of violence. Among the Muslim Lebanese, his presence is not recognized nor is his living presence yet welcome.

He is among the wealthy Arabs in Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and each of the seven Emirates. But his presence is not recognized nor is his living presence even desired. For the majority have been seduced to believe that wealth and even sensual pleasure satisfies their deepest spiritual needs. So his presence is not recognized nor is his living spiritual presence yet welcome.

He is among the impoverished Bangladeshis who are enduring overwhelming floods, disease and starvation. But his presence is not recognized nor his he living spiritual presence yet welcome.

He is in the midst of both Kurdish Afghani and Turkish Kurdish Muslim brothers as they endure deadly strife and their Turkish Muslim brothers who are not Kurds.   But his presence is not recognized by any of these groups of Muslim brothers nor is ALLAH'S Messiah's living spiritual presence welcome. In each of these situations involving the beliefs of Muslims about the courage of the Quran's Messiah, they have endured years of being conditioned to think of ALLAH's one and only Messiah as being a second class escape artist rather than a courageous Prophet of ALLAH who, with only ALLAH's help, defeated both Jewish leaders and death itself. Regrettably, he is not yet to Muslims the unique, courageous Risen Prophet of ALLAH whose presence Muslims deserve to eagerly and excitedly welcome among them.

Today, with ALLAH's help, this can all change. Yes, the darkness and doubt can turn to dawning and the dawning turn to a new bright day. Then the Messiah's compassionate presence will be revealed. Because the triumphant, wise, living Messiah who has been unwisely traded for dead weapons in the U.S., is waiting and yearning to bring his healing, his comfort, and his JUSTICE to each unique situation and to each tender heart in the Middle East and beyond. Thus, when Muslims are willing to welcome him, he has been anointed with ALLAH's spirit to reveal his presence among them. So is not this the time for Middle Eastern Muslims to understand that ALLAH Himself has brought about a wonderful convergence of confirming testimony from both the Quran and earlier Scriptures about His Risen Messiah who even now lives each day among all Muslims?

>From what the Holy Quran teaches when it is understood correctly, from what the Hebrew Old Testament repeatedly predicts when its prophecies of the coming Messiah are understood, from what the New Testament Injeel comprehensively reveals (which the Quran repeatedly states that the Quran confirms) and from what facts from history confirm, ALLAH'S triumphant unique Messiah was indeed a victor over both the wicked plans of certain rebellious Jewish leaders and over death itself. Wonderfully, he is now spiritually alive in our midst. Furthermore, he is now eagerly waiting for his spiritual presence to be both recognized and welcomed by his beloved Muslims.

In a sad contrast to the wonderful welcome ALLAH's Risen Messiah is destined to soon receive in the Muslim Middle East, multitudes of those in the U.S. who have labeled themselves Christians, have now rendered ALLAH's courageous Risen Messiah as virtually irrelevant. Millions say they believe in him but in reality have replaced him with weapons and many other idols which we have creatively invented to worship. In contrast, his presence is ready to be welcomed to the Middle East where he had his miraculous beginning in West Bank Bethlehem and where ALLAH raised him up alive in Jerusalem. Significantly, it was also in Bethlehem where the first attempt was made by an evil King to murder him when he was only a tiny toddler. So is it not totally appropriate that it will be here in the Mid East where he will soon help sincere Muslims to experience a triumphant new beginning?  Therefore, will you not now open your hearts, your homes, your families, your mosques and your governments to ALLAHs victorious but compassionate Risen man from West Bank Bethlehem?

It is such a wonderful privilege and opportunity. It is truly what ALLAH desires for you. But ALLAH's Risen Messiah is a precious gift from the Compassionate, to you. So as a gift, His Messiah will never be forced on anyone. He must be welcomed!

Key verses from the Holy Quran which, consistent with history and the Holy Books preceding the Quran, can each be definitely understood to affirm the Death, Victory over Death and Ascension to ALLAH of ALLAH's Risen Messiah Man from Bethlehem.

The Holy Quran: Al Ma'idah 5:117
The Holy Quran: Al Imran 3:55
The Holy Quran: An Nisa 4: 157, 158
The Holy Quran: Maryam 19: 33,34
The Holy Quran: Yunus 10:94
The Holy Quran: Al-Fajr 89:22
The Holy Quran: An Nur 24:35

May ALLAH be with you as yours respond to and honor His Truth and His Risen Messiah.

Thank you Senator Hillary

I did not ask the New York Senator to write an additional fitting summary for this paper, but without even knowing me, she did it anyway. I did not ask her to acknowledge the coerciveness of our diplomacy, but without my asking, she totally acknowledges this coercive policy. I did not even request that she admit that as the person most likely to be the next President of the U.S. from whom the people of other nations would form their impressions of whether they could trust us not to emphasize our use of weapons. But she unambiguously and directly answered their concerns. She let them know that they could not trust us if she were President. She emphatically stated that she would make our weapons her most prominent feature. (This would, probably be especially in our dealing with weaker nations. But at this point virtually all nations fall into the category of weaker nations.)

I did not ask her to publicly admit it, that as the leading candidate, she felt that the most important identifying characteristic of our identity as a nation is our ability to use our weapons advantage so that we can use the threat of killing  our adversaries if they do not do what will be in our national interest, but not give any consideration to what is in their national interest. Her emphasis on our eagerness to use our weapons as the first tool to coerce others to give us what we want makes the real threat of coercive killing very, very clear. For ladies and gentlemen, when you coercively threaten someone with a weapon and tell them that they must do what you want them to do or you will use your weapon, that means you will kill them if they don't give you what you are demanding from them. So this is the nice Senator from New York's public position. Of course Senator Clinton, when you made the following uncoerced foreign plicy threats, you definitely did not say that you were speaking for any other candidate but yourself. But did any other candidates, democrat or republican publicly expose the implications that your statement has for the major threat to the sovereignty and self interests of all other nations except for the self interest of the U.S. and Israel.

Ladies and gentlemen of the international jury of public opinion. I request that you closely examine Hillary Clinton's answer to the following question as printed in the September 17, Newsweek.

"What's the biggest difference on the use of American force now and fifteen years ago?" Then as you read her candid, honest answer and after you have even reread her answer, please determine if I have twisted or distorted what she either said or the implications of what she said. Then I have one additional request. If you were a stable citizen of another nation, and Mrs. Clinton were President and the U.S. needed your nation's help, would you be inclined to encourage the leadership of your nation to help a U.S. in need?

The Macho Woman's Answer

"I have always believed that American force was always there to be there as the strongest tool in out tool box for leading the world and persuing American national interest" But I think that the combination of the threat of military force backing up coercive diplomacy is a very strong position for the U.S. to be in""

Ladies and gentlemen of the international jury, I rest my case. I believe that from the incriminating evidence that I have presented you, the overwhelming evidence compels you to agree to this conclusion. The U.S. is presently a bully, myopic, egocentric nation which is determined to turn the people of every nation except Israel against the U.S. for our aggressive willingness to use weapons to arrogantly and militarily stamp on their own self interests when it conflicts with our nation's own self interests. For ladies and gentlemen, that is the only meaning you can derive from her ominous words, "the threat of military force backing up coercive diplomacy."

It is refreshing to see how honest Senator Clinton is that she believes that "Might Makes Right". But because GOD does not agree with this premise that has come to be the corner stone of American foreign policy, America is in real trouble.

"Since you have not hated bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you." Ezekiel 35:6

Please o please, Prophet Ezekiel, tell us you were exaggerating. For if you were not exaggerating, how can we get our bloodthirsty leaders and potential leaders to hear you?
