The Risen Messiah Returns

While Christ was still on this earth,
He told his followers not to fear,
They could be certain he would come again,
Only God will know when.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the work gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard me say to you, "I go away, and I will come to you."

The first time he came to save -
To demonstrate God's love to man.
When he returns to earth,
He will come to complete God's plan.

These are my words which I spoke to you, while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled ... Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations beginning from Jerusalem.

He warned his followers to be wise and know,
Many others would say, "I am the way."
When the Messiah comes the second time,
It will be with power and glory.

But I tell you, hereafter you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.

There will be much fear and deep regret
By those who are not ready,
Those who refuse to believe
In Isa as the light.

Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the generals and the rich and the strong, and every one, slave and free, hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, calling to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb."

Before he returns
The world will suffer a time of agony,
Mankind will bring upon itself great distress.

And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is corning on the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Many will think these times will never end,
These times of extreme stress and strain.
For the new Kingdom, they will be pangs of birth,
Before Christ begins his eternal reign.

And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all therein, saying, "To him who sits upon the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might for, ever and ever!"

He did often warn and say,
Watch, watch, watch and pray.
Let no person or thing deceive you, my friend,
That you will not be ready when I come again.

Watch therefore - for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or in the morning - lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. And what I say to you all: Watch!
