The Women of Islam Cried Out To Me

I believe it was only days before I had read a fine syndicated article in the April 4 Seattle Times by the former anchor of CNN, Cathleen Parker that I had an unusual spiritual experience. Her insightful article was “Women are not collateral damage.” Whether or not the woman's voice cried out to me in my mind in desperation before or after I read her column I am not entirely sure. But I am sure that it was during the time that my wife had temporarily returned to Jordan for affordable dental surgery and other dental complications that the woman's voice so clearly and in agony cried out my name Tom three times at about two to three second intervals. So my initial response was that there had been some type of problem with my wife's dental surgery and GOD was supernaturally letting me know that she especially needed my prayers and my encouragement. But due to the complications with the time difference between Seattle and Jordan I did not call her right after I thought that she was spiritually crying out to me to be with her in her medical struggle.

However, before I had an opportunity to call her she called me.

Though for many hours she had been with the excellent Jordanian dentists, and though her professional care had been appropriately painful, it had not created any type of emergency where she had needed to cry out for my support.

So when I talked with her, in order not to arouse her concern, I did not mention the clear woman's voice I distinctly heard calling out, Tom! – Tom! – Tom! inside my mind. But the voice was not to be heard with my ears because they are a little deaf any way.

So I believe it was only days after that when my wife had returned that I read the fine article in the Seattle Times exposing the U.S. government regarding its insensitive policy of treating women as collateral damage in war time, yet the specific term “Muslim Women” was never mentioned in Ms. Parker's column.

But since the Muslim Middle East is the present war zone, and Afghan women were mentioned as well as “Honor Killings” and acid being thrown in the face of girls trying to attend school, as well as the Taliban being mentioned ,my own mind immediately focused on the suffering of specifically Muslim women. When the writer stated that one of our D.C. White House officials demeaningly referred to women as “pet rocks”in our rucksack and that we could not give special attention to these pet rocks my heart went out to how U>S> policy makers in my own nation in its Mid-East foreign policy goals think in much broader terms than any gender and cultural issues regarding Muslim women.

While considering how in my own web site writing (www.AlQasas.net) I had often attempted to call special attention to the needs of especially Muslim women, I realized I had not been as thorough as their special circumstances require. So it was then that I concluded that it was the specific need for me to try to help women more through my writing which was the special message that GOD had intended for me to receive through his calling of my personal name three times. It was to specifically tell me that the collective voice of Muslim women was crying out to me personally to more specifically use my web site to aid Muslim women due to my own government being preoccupied with democracy creation and is therefore calloused to the special needs of Muslim women. Yet, there are individual advocates such as Ms. Parker who try to use their limited resources to sensitize our government officials so that they no longer treat women as collateral damage. Thus, the unusual combination of Ms. Parker's column and the collective voice of suffering Muslim women calling out to me directly motivated me to immediately write my own website paper; “Advocates For Muslim Women Have Same Severe Blindspot.”And this combination of circumstances led me to write a personal e-mail to kathleenparker@washpost.com. Then, just as I was completing both the article and the e-mail to Ms. Parker, two more related timely coincidences occurred which directly relate to the unique needs of Muslim women. The first was an incredible article about Saudi Arabian Muslim women written by Mike Giglio in the May 8, 2011, Newsweek. The article entitled “Saudi's Surprise Renegades.” This three page article revealed how desperate so many Saudi wives, mothers, etc. are to have the authorities release or give fair trials to up to 30,000 political prisoners being held in the prisons of Saudi Arabia. But the authorities are being very successful in preventing the desperate women from having any success and are being exceptionally calloused toward them.

The second timely coincidence that occurred almost simultaneously with the Saudi Newsweek article was my just happening to see a December 2010 prayer letter from the Middle East that contained the following paragraph about how a still practicing Imam in Iraq had been a secret believer in the Risen Christ in Iraq for 15 years. And his only reason for believing was that his reading about Isa/Jesus in the Qur'an (not the Bible which he had never read) forced him to believe in the Qur'an's Risen Messiah.

One paragraph read: “By the time C met X, X had been a believer for 15 years. Amazingly, he came to Christ through what he could learn about Isa/Jesus from reading the Qur'an. Since then because of distrust and corruption in the ethnic Christian Iraqi church he has lived without fellowship or a Bible.

So my point that I made to the Saudi women in my recent article on my website article entitled, “All Advocates For Muslim Women Have Same Severe Blindspot” was this. When these Saudi women even without men's support begin publicly rallying around the Qur'an's Al-Im'ran 3:55, in this key strategic verse ALLAH Himself makes it crystal clear that ALLAH Himself was not only involved in the Messiah's death but that He Himself also raised him to new life which makes him accessible to aid Muslim women today. Therefore, when some Muslim women make it public to thousands of other Saudi Muslim women that the death and resurrection of ALLAH's Messiah is emphatically taught in the Qur'an's Al-Im'ran 3:55, this could force Saudi authorities who definitely fear the power and resources of the Qur'an's Risen Messiah, to consider taking over all of the Arabic Qur'an's in the Kingdom. This is because the authorities do not want these two key historical events to be talked about. So because the Qur'an teaches truth about the Risen Messiah, which up to this time the religious and political authorities have been successful in distorting or suppressing, these authorities don't want Muslims to be interested in these two enormously relevant events clearly spoken of in their own Qur'an..

Therefore, I encourage the Muslim women who wish to put pressure on the government to release the 30,000 unjustly held Saudi men, to use the truth in the verse Al-Imran 3:55 as their new powerful weapon to cause the government to release the men because the government and religious leaders are exceedingly fearful of the power, wisdom and resources of the Qur'an's Risen Messiah.

I have even written a story in the earliest part of my website entitled “Will the Qur'an's Messiah Be Allowed to Visit Mecca”, which in a humorous way reveals how dreadfully fearful Muslim leaders are of the influence of the Qur'an's Risen Messiah. Therefore they actually held a vote on whether or not the Qur'an's Messiah would be allowed to visit Mecca. And this story is available free on www.AlQasas.net in both Arabic and English. So I encourage Muslim women to e-mail both the author of the Newsweek article on Saudi women Mike Giglio of Newsweek, and the syndicated article on women not being collateral damage written by the former anchor of CNN, Kathleen Parker, urging them to mention the Qur'an's Al-Im'ran 3:55 in their writing. (www.kathleenparker@wash.post.com and Mr. Mike Giglio in care of www.thedailybeast.com)

So may ALLAH bless you courageous Muslim women as you seek justice for your mostly falsely charged Muslim men who are in prison.

Sincerely,
Tom Griffith
