Three Prophets' Predictions About IslamA Massive Giant Blind SpotShortly before the Messiah Isa/Jesus was going to depart from this earth, three of his disciples asked him a question about the second coming of Elijah the Prophet. This second appearance of Elijah was on their minds since they had just observed both the Prophet Elijah and the Prophet Moses supernaturally revealing themselves to the Messiah and discussing with him his soon departure. But the Prophet Elijah was also on their minds due to the fact that teacher's of the law knew that what is now the final book of the Old Testament, Malachi, closed with its final two verses predicting that GOD would once again send the Prophet Elijah to this earth. But much to their astonishment, the Messiah explained to them that Elijah had already returned a second time but all Jews including even his disciples had not known that he had returned. Then, at the moment that Jesus said that he had already returned, they realized that they had been an error to have taken the prediction of Elijah's return literally, word for word in order to reach the wrong conclusion that it had to be the Prophet Elijah himself to be the one to return, so they now realized that the prediction should be understood figuratively. Therefore, when John the Baptist (Yahya in the Quran) had begun preaching and baptizing in the Jordan River region, in both GOD and in His Messiah's perspective, John the Baptist became the Elijah who had returned. (Please see Matthew 17, Luke 9 and Mark 9). So every last Jew had missed the return of Elijah because of their significant blind spot of being in bondage to thinking that it was necessary to take each word written in the Prophet Malachi, literally, word for word. So for the prediction to be spiritually fulfilled, it was entirely appropriate to view John the Baptist, (Yahya) as being the returned Elijah. Quite significantly, their blind spot was quite similar to the blind spot which all Muslims are now in bondage to in relation to their thinking that they must literally conclude that the Messiah was literally not killed and literally not executed though in reality he did very definitely endure a fatal execution, but GOD later gave him new life. These not insignificant blind spots by Jews on the return of Elijah the Prophet and the Muslims on the fact that Isa had been executed are a fitting introduction to a current giant blind spot that is shocking in how massive, significant and relevant that it is. Missing the Truth About Islam's DestinyWhat I will now elaborate upon has been missed by every Christian teacher, preacher and theologian since the advent of Islam. While there may have been a person here or there who may have had the following scenario that I will now explain, cross their minds, no one has openly publicized this interpretation of the teaching of three of the most radical and influential persons of both the Old Testament and the New Testament. The three persons who made the predictions were the Prophet Moses, the Prophet Isaiah and the radical rabbi from Tarsas who gained fame as the Apostle Paul and who wrote the majority of the New Testament. So what I will soon explain has been missed by every Bible school, every theological seminary, every professor, every teacher and every preacher throughout the entire world. But not only has this exciting reality which will soon take place, been overlooked and missed by all Christians. Quite significantly, it has also been missed by every Muslim and every Imam of every mosque throughout the entire world. But what is also exceptionally, significant is this. After I have explained to the best of my limited ability what will soon occur in our world, very few Christians will believe me and there may even be none. However, though it may at first be only a few Muslims who will believe this explanation, it will soon increase to hundreds and then thousands and finally to millions. Here is the background for the details. One of the unfortunate commentaries about human nature is this. When GOD uses a certain classification of people for a particular purpose, that use of them by GOD often goes to their heads and has a tendency to result in their thinking they are very special and are inherently superior to others. So they become exclusive in their thinking and at least subconsciously decide that GOD has no right to use anyone but themselves for his purposes or to bless anyone but them. This was the way it was with the Jewish people is the Old Testament. In fact, the Messiah commented on this particular arrogant and even racist characteristic of the Jews to feel superior to non-Jews. While speaking to his own people at his home synagogue on this volatile, sensitive subject, his listeners came quite close to murdering him. His Jewish listeners became wildly enraged when he discussed two clear examples from Old Testament times when GOD showed favor to a Syrian Army officer and to a Sidonese widow that he did not show to Jews. Again, this type of superiority and arrogant exclusivism reared its ugly head in the early church and continues to occur today. Though GOD had given the Apostle Peter three consecutive visions to pound into his head that he should not think of non-Jews, that is gentiles, as unclean, later Peter began treating them as though they were. Thus, he had only temporarily learned that lesson. So a few years after his vision the wiser, more educated and broader minded former rabbi who was now the Christian Apostle Paul, was forced to take Peter aside and again confront him with how he was reverting to his old habits. He was giving into the propensity of so many converted Jews to see themselves as superior to gentiles who had also became followers of the now Risen man who truly treated people as equals. Before we get to the two overlooked predictions by the Prophets Moses, Isaiah and the former radical rabbi from Tarsus, Syria about how it will be Muslim believers in the Risen Messiah who will gather followers from every type of people. Thus, it is agreed among most of those who take the teachings of the bible seriously that it is the desire of the GOD who is revealed in the Scriptures of the Bible to have all the people of the world embrace His Risen Messiah. This includes people of every nation which would include one billion three hundred million Muslims. Of course many Muslims would protest that they do believe in the Messiah. But Muslims now believe in him on the basis of Islam's present interpretation of An Nisa 4:157. Therefore, Muslims now believe more in a Messiah who escaped death rather than in the Messiah who rose from death. But the reality is, that despite whether Muslims actually believe in the reality of what the previous scriptures decisively teach about what the Messiah truly accomplished, many Christians especially evangelical Christians in the U.S. have very little concern about what one billion three hundred million Muslims believe about GOD's Messiah. Rather, their chief concern is what the worldwide Jewish community believes about him and especially what the Jews now living in Israel believe. As in the August '08 article of Foreign Affairs by Professor Mead, "The Deep Roots of American Zionism," a perceptive quote reveals how long many leaders of the U.S. have looked forward to the mass conversion of Jews to Christianity. John Adams, the first U.S. President after George Washington stated explicitly about the Jews: "Once restored to an independent government and no longer persecuted they would possibly in time become liberal Unitarian Christians." Yet, despite the efforts and prayers of the Christian Church to influence the Jews to accept Jesus as their Messiah but not necessarily to become "Christians," with a relatively minor number of exceptions, the Jews have remained united in their rejection of Jesus as their Messiah. And it appears that this is the way that the situation will remain until an explosive psychological factor invades the present strong commitment to rejection. And what is that psychological factor which is explicitly isolated in the Scriptures by the three radical leaders, Moses, Isaiah and Paul, whose lives were separated by approximately thirteen centuries? It is the basic psychological factor of envy. Ask yourself. Do you observe many Jews having a major issue with their envy of Christians? I personally have not observed this phenomenon though it may now exist to a minor extent. Now ask yourself. What if massive numbers of Muslims continued to identify as Muslims and themselves consider themselves Muslims but no fully embraced Isa/Jesus as their triumphant Risen Messiah who had totally defeated the hostile plans of the Jews to end his life forever? Of course, when the Jews observed the Muslims both in their midst and surrounding them enjoying their new relationship with the Risen Messiah, they would be enflamed with envy and undoubtedly anger. But due to the inability of the vast majority of those who study the Scriptures to imagine a scenario where vast numbers of Muslims would embrace the Risen Messiah in this way, they have not been able to make sense about the actual application of these puzzling verses about envy and anger. So they have largely ignored these verses. Instead of seeing GOD using Muslims to accomplish what vigorous and sincere American Christians have been unable to accomplish regarding reaching most resistant Jews, many Christians have remained stuck in the 1948 Time magazine racist stereotype of Muslim Arabs being useless as quoted in Mead's article about the deep U.S. roots of Zionism. “The Western World tends to think of the Arab as a falcon-eyed warrior on a white horse. That Arab is still around, but he is far less numerous than the disease-ridden wretches who lie in the hot streets, too weak, sick and purposeless to role over into the shade.” It was especially disturbing that as our entire nation watched on TV, the Republican candidate for President was forced to take the microphone away from a frightened woman. She was publicly expressing how she was "scared" to live in a U.S. led by Barack Obama because he was an "Arab." But the GOD of love of the Bible does not engage in wicked racist stereotyping. Instead, He will take the very people who arrogant, ignorant people despise and will embrace them to accomplish His purposes which most Christians could not accomplish. But when Senator McCain attempted to reassure his followers that they had no need to be scared of Senator Obama, he was booed by some in the hostile crowd. Thus, the words of Moses as expressed in Deuteronomy may at first glance seem demeaning but when more closely examined, they are profound as they expressed how GOD will use what I am convinced are loving Muslim Arabs to reach many Jews who now reject their Messiah. "I will make them (the Jews) envious by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding" Duet. 32:21. Then Paul, about 1,300 years later, in the context of discussing the process (in Romans, chapters 9,10 & 11) that will finally help bring the rebellious Jews to embrace their Messiah, quotes the above words as expressed by Moses in this theological letter to the Romans but he substitutes the word "nation" for Moses' word "people." He describes how a nation which was not a nation (or not one united people which Islam is not) and who had lacked understanding, were used by GOD to make the Jews envious and angry. Then the radical rabbi, in order to further drive home is reasoning, reveals how GOD revealed Himself through His Messiah to Muslims with the words of the always forward looking Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 65:1. "I was found by those who did not seek me; I was revealed to those who did not ask for me." Paul clarifies that the above words were definitely not referring to His being found by Jews by using words in the next verse that make certain that his readers know that Isaiah was making a contrast to the Jews and was not writing about them. So it strongly appears that it was the Arab Muslims that Moses, Isaiah and Paul were all writing about, and which Isaiah contrasts with Israel. But concerning Israel he says… "All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people." So the former rabbi from Tarsus has written to all the Christian believers in Rome explaining that a nation which was not truly a nation and which had lacked understanding will be used by GOD to make Israel who is obstinate and disobedient, envious and angry. In order to drive home his point, he uses direct quotes from both the Prophet Moses and the Prophet Isaiah. So this main writer of the New Testament who was very educated and multi-lingual finished off his comments about this mystery nation that was not truly a nation and had lacked understanding, by using two direct quotes from the Prophet Isaiah in order to contrast the then unnamed nation which is obviously Islam with the disobedient and obstinate people of Israel. So it is the Prophet Moses, the Prophet Isaiah and the Apostle Paul who each carved out a major and unique role of supreme importance for all of Islam in these last days. This will occur after Islam throws off the shackles of the weird scenario they invented in order to deny that the Messiah of the Quran and Injeel defeated death instead of fleeing from death and was then raised alive by GOD/ALLAH. So the new understanding of An-Nisa 4:157, 158 liberates Islam to become the key religious component to be used by GOD to finally, through Israel's envy and anger, come to their Messiah so that an enlightened Islam will set the people of Israel straight in order that they too will finally acknowledge their Messiah though it may take them some time for them to do so for they are a very stubborn people. So to the world's amazement, it will be an enlightened, vigorous Islam instead of a complacent and often militaristic Christianity which GOD will use to accomplish certain of His major purposes. Yet, we may legitimately ask why Moses, Isaiah and Paul each used such imprecise and puzzling words that did not easily identify to whom each writer was making reference? I believe this was done because each writer knew that the processes we were describing would take centuries to develop. So GOD, who is never in a hurry, did not wish to tempt people years and years before the longitudinal processes had time to run its course, to be tempted to point fingers at certain groups and say, "here is how GOD will use you." And of course at the time of the three writers, Islam had not yet come into existence so Muslims were referred to operationally rather than using a specific term that had not yet come into existence. Though neither Paul, Isaiah nor Moses had ever heard of the Islam that was to come through the Prophet Muhammad, the eternal spirit of GOD was very aware of the Islam that was to come. So these three servants of the Most High GOD, were each making reference to Islam as the nation that was not a nation which would be used by GOD to make Israel so envious and angry. Paul in a subsequent chapter of his letter to the Romans mentions that it will be gentiles in general who cause the people of Israel to experience envy. But the envy that has so far occurred over the last twenty centuries has been minor compared to the envy and even anger that will soon occur. This will be observed when significant numbers of Muslims enthusiastically embrace the Risen Messiah who GOD/ALLAH has uniquely appointed to be the loving Savior of men, women and children throughout our entire world. Another legitimate question is: why would Moses use a phrase such as "nation that has no understanding" and why would Isaiah use the statement: "I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me?" I believe the reason is that though Islam views itself as quite sincerely seeking GOD and thinks that it understands GOD, Islam insists on doing their seeking of GOD on Islam's terms of understanding who GOD's Messiah is and not on the terms of the earlier Scriptures. To make matters worse for Islam, Muslims contradict themselves by insincerely insisting that the Quran confirms those earlier scriptures, which Islam then finds a weak excuse to reject any teaching that they find inconvenient, which is in the earlier Scriptures. But on the very positive side for Islam's long historic services to GOD are these facts: It was a pre-incarnation appearance to the mother of Ishmael, Hagar, that twice saved Ishmael's life. Once when he was still in Hagar's womb and once when he was an early teenager. No other woman or young boy had such unique experiences with the pre-born Messiah who later totally confused the Jews by telling them "Before Abraham was born, I am." And to put further emphasis on the ancestors of Islam's long-range service to GOD it was the nephews and grandchildren of Ishmael who the Scriptures reveal were used by GOD to save the life of the almost murdered Joseph. These Ishmaelites were used by GOD to safely transport Ishmael to Egypt where he was then used by GOD to save the entire Jewish race from starvation. So it was the forefathers of Islam who saved the other part of Abraham's family from whom the Messiah would later be born. So Islam has an extremely long history with GOD's now Risen Messiah. But this combination of a positive and partially negative process which now exists between GOD and Islam concerning GOD's Risen Messiah, will take a giant leap for only the positive when perceptive, responsible leaders in Islam soon acknowledge the real truth of An Nisa 4:157 and 158. That is, that GOD's Messiah was most certainly executed by the Jews but that GOD defeated their plans to end his life forever because as An Nisa 4:158 so clearly reveals, ALLAH raised him up. Therefore, there is now exciting news for Islam and for the entire world about the significant blind spots that affect both the Christian Church and Islam. That good news is this. To use a term from sports, the ball is in Islam's court. That is, Islam is not dependent on Christianity to correct any blind spots in order for Islam to prosper. The happy fact is, that Islam only needs to correct its own blind spot about resisting the validity of Isa's victory over death, in order for Islam to prosper. When that correction in belief occurs, the sky is the limit about how one billion three hundred million Muslims will serve ALLAH regarding spreading the good news about the Messiah's victory over both the evil of the Jews illegal, cruel execution of the innocent Messiah and the news about his glorious victory over death. Think about it. The infrastructure that the Muslims have already established is breathtaking. Muslims have tens of thousands of established mosques throughout the entire world. And when each mosque soon has a positive, exciting message to proclaim instead of a decidedly legalistic one, which often does not sufficiently inspire young men, wonderful things will happen. So then the small percentage of young men who have been attracted to terrorism, will then have a message that can truly challenge their innovation and creativity. Thus, when Islam corrects its major current blind spot and has fewer Muslims attracted to terrorism, the U.S. will have much less of an excuse to use its mighty Military Industrial Complex to unjustly attack Muslims. Two More Blind spotsMy conscience will not allow me to conclude this paper without mentioning my own conviction concerning two more blind spots of the especially American public but also blind spots of the entire international community. That is, in the U.S. we often hear the observation that only history will be able to judge a particular set of obviously unjust actions and policies by the mighty U.S. Military Industrial Complex. Regretfully, this mighty complex, which heavily contributes to the health of the U.S. economy, has many immoral incentives to immorally attack largely innocent countries such as Iraq. Also, the way that the U.S. is able to so glibly defend its lopsided justification for whatever Israel does while leaving the Palestinians to be exploited, abused and smashed, is truly nauseating and unjust. And to decide that it is only history which will Judge is to appear to make an assumption that GOD either does not care about Justice or that he supports injustice. Long before the current U.S. economic crisis, and even before the series of natural disasters that have recently plagued the U.S., my writing has consistently pointed out that whether every person in the entire world will excuse the U.S. for its blatant immoral policies in Iraq, GOD will hold the U.S. responsible and will at least allow if not facilitate economic and natural disasters as active judgment on the U.S. for despising and ignoring all acceptable standards of decency and justice. Despite the strange and stretched optimism, that because the U.S. is the U.S., everything will soon be okay, does not factor in the reality of a GOD who puts a high value on Justice. Additionally, He is not intimidated by a mighty military industrial complex. Nor does He think that He owes the U.S. anything just because it has a long history of democracy or a high percentage of Christians. So until the U.S. demonstrates a mighty and sincere repentance, the U.S. will continue to swim in deep manure that our nation has brought upon itself. Yet, the vast majority of Christians have remained strangely and even immorally quiet about our unjust slaughter of so many innocents in Iraq and in Afghanistan. This lack of a vigorous protest by especially American Christians who insured Bush's second term four years after he and Cheney butchered so many innocent Iraqis in their first four years Is especially disheartening. But making the whole situation even more bizarrely corrupt is that according to the March 31, 2003 Time Magazine Bush made his first foreign policy announcement about his intending to invade Iraq with the very unchristian word, "Fu-k." It was in March 2002 in Condoleeza Rice's office doorway, he obnoxiously interrupted her meeting with three senators to decisively announce: "Fu-k Saddam. We're taking him out." So began his sick efforts to bring his sickness to the mostly innocent people of Iraq with the entire world incorrectly assuming that GOD will be passive in regard to all this bloody carnage on an innocent people. But I as one voice am saying that the U.S. is being punished and will continue to be punished for its needless butchery until there is major repentance. back to "Late 2007 - 2009" page __________________________________________________________ _________________________________________ __________________________ _____________ |
