Torah Confirms Ishmael's Grandchildren Rescued Present Day Israel from Extinction.

It is absolutely amazing how the U.S. National leaders are so biased in favor of Israel and yet against the Arab Palestinians. But let's just review a few historical facts that entirely change the perception of the Arabs being the historical bad guys that the Israelis and the U.S. deliberately paints them to be.

Let's begin with Abraham's second wife, the North African Egyptian Hagar. Those unfamiliar with the Genesis Scriptures may object that Hagar did not become Abraham's second wife. But the Genesis 16: verses 3 and 4 make it clear that she became his wife.

After Abraham's second wife, Hagar gave birth to Ishmael he was named by the Angel of GOD before he was born an honoring name which literally means “GOD Hears.”

But for now skipping many important historical happenings revealed in the Bible's first book, the book of Genesis that we will discuss later, after we get directly to the key purpose of this paper.

In virtually every one's minds, the Jews, the Arabs, the West, the Christians and the Muslims, it has been the Arab Muslims who have really received an unfortunate Public Relation's Raw Deal or Black Eye or whatever metaphor you wish to use to characterize the bum deal that the Arabs have received and are still receiving. As you might guess, whenever the Arabs get a bad propaganda deal, it is the Jews who fall into a pile of manure and come out smelling like a rose.

God Uses Ishmael's Grandchildren to Save Joseph to Save Israel

Here is where I am going in this paper.

Joseph's ten brothers except his youngest full brother Benjamin, hated him. But, although his oldest brother Reuben also hated him, he did not want to have him murdered. But the other nine brothers definitely decided to murder him while they were all far out in the fields where there would be no witnesses to their murder of him. But they called off the murder, not because they felt at all guilty about shedding the blood of their own brother. Rather, the murder was cancelled because they figured out a way to totally get rid of him as they desperately wanted to do. But there was a way to both totally get Joseph out of their sight forever and also to make some reasonable money off of him at the same time. So when nine of the brothers (Reuben was away for a few hours) saw some Ishmalite merchants far off in the distance who had several camel loads of spices, balm and myrrh to sell in Egypt, they decided to sell their brother to the Ishmaelite merchants. Then, while oldest brother Reuben was gone, they deceptively and wickedly made up a cover story using Joseph's robe dipped in goat blood. With the goat blood robe the nine brothers totally cruelly convinced their aging father Jacob that Joseph had been killed by a wild animal. So it appeared to them (shubbiihalahum) the brothers that when they had sold their brother, that they had gotten rid of Joseph forever when they shipped him into slavery in far off Egypt.

This appearing to them that they had gotten rid of him forever is similar to when centuries later other hateful Jews thought they had gotten rid of their brother Messiah forever when they thought that they had permanently killed him. But they had only gotten rid of him for part of Friday, all of the Sabbath day and only part of the first day of the week Sunday. How do we know that it was not a permanent death for their own Jewish brother, the Qur'an's Messiah? Because the Qur'an tells us in An-Nisa 4:158 that ALLAH used His own Wisdom and Might to raise Isa, the Son of Maryam, from what appeared to be permanent death to new life.

So the nine brothers, because oldest Brother Reuben was not there, thought they had sold their younger brother into permanent slavery in far off Egypt before older Reuben could return to them to be able to stop them. But Reuben was too late for the quick, hateful brothers.

Amazingly, it was the grandchildren of their grandfather Ishmael, who were the Ishmaelite merchants who made a deal to take the weeping, traumatized, scared to death teenager to Egypt to sell him into what Joseph's brothers assumed was permanent slavery.

But what the excessively hostile brothers did not count on is that the Arab Egyptian grandchildren had much more tender hearts than themselves that were not hate filled. Also they knew persons in Egypt. And their business associates in Egypt were also not hateful like their own Jewish cousins, the sons of Jacob/Israel.

Also, their great grandmother, Hagar was Egyptian and quite probably left royalty behind in Egypt to become the wealthy and famous Abraham's wife's household assistant. She was not the dish and clothes washer because wealthy Sarah had other servants to do more menial tasks. Buy why would young Hagar be allowed to leave royalty and possibly to leave Pharaohs own household to go with Abraham's wealthy travelling group?

The answer was practical and is revealed in chapter 12 of Genesis. Sarah was both beautiful and desirable and a number of the Phoaroah'sofficials as well as Pharaoh were desirous of potentially sleeping with her. Due to Abraham being nervous about being killed by Pharaoh if he refused Pharaoh's request was virtual suicide for Abe. So he emphasized that she was his sister which she was to loan him his wife for a while saying no to the Pharaoh's request that Abraham's wife who was also his sister.So it was only a small lie for her to come and live in his Royal Palace. Neither the Pharaoh nor any of the officials had any yet taken her to bed. But Pharaoh was giving all kind of presents to Abraham including men servants and maid servants as part of the deal for his beautiful, desirable sister living in the Royal Palace. But not surprisingly, GOD did not approve of this arrangement made by Abraham with the Pharaoh. In order to protect Sarah, GOD was inflicting various diseases on Pharaoh's household and on his officials. Thus, Pharaoh finally figured out the deception and demanded that Abraham take his wife and immediately leave Egypt. But the Pharaoh would be humiliated if he tried to take back his gifts and Hagar was one of the Pharaoh's gifts to Abraham for the temporary loan of his beautiful, desirable sister/wife to Pharaoh.

The Grandchildren's Many Abraham-Ishmael-Hagar Stories with Egyptian Merchants and Officials While Drinking Tea

One cultural reality of Middle Eastern life is the high social value placed on long conversations. So undoubtedly the grandchildren Ishmaelite merchants had long reassuring conversation with the traumatized teenage Joseph on the long trip to Egypt. And there was no worry by his not so distant Ishmaelite relatives about him trying to escape in the middle of the hot desert. In fact, the industrious Joseph undoubtedly earned favor with his relative merchants by helping to water the camels and gather fired wood at night. So it would have been quite unnatural during the long trip for there to have been no reassuring conversation with the teenager about how his own brothers treated him. Therefore, out of sympathy for how he was maliciously treated by his own family they would attempt to try to use one of their many Egyptian connections to find one of the best placements possible for him. And of course it would maximize their own potential profit margin if they influenced him to make the most positive impression on the potential buyers that he possibly could. So because of the positive camaraderie and rapport that had been established on the trip, it became a win-win situation for both sides to find Joseph a positive placement in Egypt. And inevitably a win situation for GOD and for Joseph for saving the Jews from extinction during the coming famine that GOD was well aware of. But the greedy, hostile, arrogant, superior feeling nine Jewish brothers were not aware of these inter-cultural social dynamics that would inevitably help their brother survive and even prosper when they greedily sold their brother Joseph to Egypt. The disgusting family reality was that his older brothers assumed and wanted the worse for Joseph. But GOD and his Ishmaelite relatives wanted the best for Joseph.

In fact, see Genesis 34 to observe how the older brothers not including Joseph, decided to solve the problem of the partially consensual sex that their sister Dinah had engaged in with the important son of a regional ruler named Shechem.The brotherssimplistic, savage minds solved the serious problem in their typical savage way. They tricked all of the men of the Ruler's city into receiving circumcision. Then, while all of the city's men were still quite sore and in great pain from their crudely performed circumcision surgery, two of Dinah's revengeful brothers, Simeon and Levi carried out their own wicked revenge for their sister's unwelcome humiliation. They used their swords to ruthlessly attack the entire unsuspecting small city and secretly savagely murdered every male in the entire city, including Hamar, the city Ruler and his son Shechem. Then they hurriedly took Dinah from Shechem's house and quickly escaped. In the exact words of Genesis 34:27-29.

“The sons of Jacob came upon the dead bodies, and looted the city where their sister had been defiled. They seized their flocks and herds and donkeys and everything else of theirs in the city and out in the fields. They carried off their wealth and all their women and children, taking as plunder every thing in the houses.” This unfortunately was the brother's style and modis operendi for dealing with what they found unpleasant. Of course this deceptive, unnecessary secret massacre of the established people of the land greatly upset their father Jacob. But his sons casually brushed off their father's deep anguish with the superficial justification: “Should he have treated our sister like a prostitute?”

But in deep contrast to such savage murder of all the men of the small city where Hamar and his son Shechem had lived, these murderous Jewish brothers also came within a bug's eyelash to also close to murdering their own younger brother, Joseph. But why had they almost murdered their own brother? Because of the brothers were jealous of his close relationship to their father due mainly to some unwise comments that he had shared with them that implied that GOD considered him superior to them. So to settle ordinary family jealousies they were quite willing to resort to cold blooded premeditated murder of their own brother, the beloved son of their father, Jacob/Isreal.

But in vivid contrast to such savage behavior by Joseph's older brothers in being so hostile and so easily turning to murder in order to solve solvable problems, it seems Ishmael's relatives and grandchildren did not have this unfortunate personality disorder. Pleasantly Ishmael's grandchildren merchants appeared to possess a standard of ethical and social behavior that was high above the standards of Jacob's older sons. The sons of Jacob, though they appeared to be well aware of their own fathers numerous experiences with GOD, they themselves had absolutely no fear of GOD, which both their father Jacob and brother Joseph possessed.

If Ishmael's grandchildren and relatives did not have considerably higher ethics than Joseph's brothers, these Arab/Egyptian merchant relatives who were Ishmael's grandchildren would not have been selected and allowed by GOD to deliver the young traumatized Joseph to Egypt. Nor would they have likely used their obvious personal Egyptian connections to aid him in landing a suitable position that fit his strengths.And these personal strengths eventually put him in a position to be GOD's chosen man to rescue Israel from famine and thus rescue future Jews from becoming a virtually extinct race. But the Arab Ishmaelite were a vital link chosen byGOD to enable the rescue of the Jews from famine.

But what were same of the significant things that Ishmaels grandchildren had been told about their Egyptian great grandmother Hagar and their half Egyptian grandfather Ishmael and Abraham that would have impressively come out in conversation with their Egyptian counterparts and Pharaoh's officials that would have paved the way for a strategic servant position for the frightened teenage Hebrew boy?

Grandchildren's Significant Conversational Points That Would Have Interested Egyptians about Grandmother Egyptian Hagar and Grandfather Egyptian Ishmael – All Part of the Genesis Record and In Oral Tradition

1. Hagar Probably Came from Egyptian Royalty As a Gift From Pharaoh for His Having Abraham's Beautiful Wife Living In His Royal Palace.
2. Egyptian Hagar had Prestigious Position In Wealthy and Famous Patriarch Abraham's Home.
3. Hagar Became Abraham's Second Wife.
4. Egyptian Hagar Significantly Presented Abraham His First Child, Ishmael.
5. Though Only Half Hebrew, Ishmael Was Given His Meaningful Name by GOD's Angel Before Being Born.
6. Ishmael's Name Honorably Means “GOD Hears.”
7. Though She Was Not Hebrew But Egyptian, Hagar is the Only Women In THE Hebrew Scriptures And Oral Tradition Who Had An Angel of GOD Whom She Called The Lord, Once Appear to Her and Also Personally Once Speak to Her From Heaven.
8. Hagar, Though Not Hebrew But Arab Egyptian Was the Only Man or Woman to Have An Angel of GOD Dramatically Intervene In The Desert to Rescue Her From Almost Certain Death Two Different Times.

10. GOD's Commitment to Young Ishmael was So Strong That It is Recorded that “GOD was With Him As He Grew Up.” There Was Never Recorded A Stronger Commitment of GOD's Presence to Any Other Young Person Except to The Prophet Samuel Who Actually Laid The Foundation of The Hebrew Nation.
11. Ishmael's Wife Who Was The Merchant's Grandmother Was From Egypt.
12. Young Ishmael, Though Half Egyptian was Still One of First members of the important Hebrew Covenant of Circumcision on the First Day of this significant Covenant.
13. Ishmael Attended the Burial of His Father Abraham Along With His Brother Isaac At Sarah's Tomb.

When the nine hateful brothers' of Ishmael excluding Rueben, assumed that they would never see Joseph again, there was one particular miscalculation in their judgment that they failed to adjust for. In psychology the term that is used is projection. That is, many times a sick personality fails to recognize its own sickness. But instead the person projectstheir own personality deficiency on the person to whom they are opposed. So they perceive the other person as having their deficient, personality disorder rather than seeing themselves, as being deficient.So the murderous Hebrew sons of Jacob/Israel quite likely were very suspicious of Ishmael's grandchildren because they projected their own faulty personality disorders on to them.So they totally did not expect them to show kindness to their brother. Thus, they never expected to see Joseph alive again.

Once the devious brothers committed Joseph to the Ishmaelite merchants whom they perceived as devious like themselves; they fully never expected or wanted to see their own brother again. But what the brothers totally failed to factor in is that their relatives actually had warmth and compassion for the mistreated, abused, rejected Joseph. Ishmael's grand kids could immediately observe that his older brothers hated him. So that hate that they observed naturally caused them to have sympathy and compassion for their relative, Joseph. Thus their sympathy directly resulted in Joseph's distant relatives reaching out to him with warmth and understanding. This idea of projecting a hardness on these relatively young merchant relatives is not fair or is it an appropriate characterization of most Egyptian Arabs that is often in contrast to the observable arrogance of so many Jews.

A Colt 45 Verses A Famine 45

When I recently happened to be walking next to an armored truck guard into a QFC super market, I casually asked him if that was a 45 he was wearing. He replied that it was only a 40, but that there were still many 45's in use. There was a reason I asked him this particular question. Though I know nothing about guns, I used to often hear about people being shot and killed by the Colt 45. So, when I happened to notice that when I was coincidentally reading in Genesis 45 about how after the young Hebrew Joseph, with GOD's help, had triumphed over all his many troubles. Thus, he become the top ruler of Egypt. Thus in their first significant conversation between he and his brothers detailed in Genesis 45, he mentioned how five more years of famine that were still coming would make his family at least destitute or would take their lives if GOD had not sent him ahead to provide their large family's food needs from food supplies in Egypt for the next five long years of severe famine. Two times, though he did not use the word famine directly, he emphasized that GOD had sent him to Egypt ahead of them to definitely save their lives due to the coming severe lack of food. (See Genesis 45:5, 7 and 11)

So I will use the metaphor that the famine had not placed a deadly Colt 45 to the heads of the foundational family of the Nation of Israel. But Joseph, the then Ruler of Egypt made it clear in Genesis 45 that a Genesis 45 famine placed their entire family under a sentence of potential death if GOD had not provided abundant food for them by His having used their evil toward their own brother to send him to Egypt in order to be in control of all of the food supplies of Egypt.

But what empowered Joseph to, as their Torah confirms, realize that there remained five more years of severe famine that the whole region would endure. The reason he was able to know is because GOD Himself obviously has supernatural knowledge about events coming in the future. Therefore, GOD had supernaturally revealed to Pharaoh in a dream which GOD empowered Joseph to interpret for Pharaoh, that there were coming seven years of agricultural prosperity to be followed by seven years of famine. So the pre-knowledge that Joseph had through interpreting the dream that GOD had given Pharaoh, empowered Joseph to organize Egypt in laying up huge stores of grain during the years of agricultural prosperity and other food in order to tide over the whole immediate region with enough food to provide for the scarcity during the seven years of famine that he had been supernaturally informed was coming. And so Joseph revealed his identity to his brothers when two of the years of famine were past and they still had five long years of famine yet to endure.

Here Is The Totally Unjust Shocker

There is no way that the 45th Chapter of Genesis can be read without coming to this dramatic conclusion. Yes! GOD empowered Joseph, through his high position in Egypt that GOD enabled him to have, in order to save the intended family of Jacob/Israel from extinction. However, the unrecognized shocker is this. There is no way that you can carefully analyze a series of Egyptian connection events in previous chapters in Genesis starting with the time that Abraham approved a request from Pharaoh to have his sister, who was also Abraham's wife, live with Pharaoh. Because that complicated incident directly caused by Pharaoh's Bill Clinton type lust problem, led to Pharaoh giving a giftto Abraham of also beautiful Hagar who eventually became Abraham's second wife. And then Hagar soon quite significantly gave Abraham his first son Ishmael, who quickly became an initial member of the important Jewish Covenant of Circumcision.

So there is absolutely no way that the Hebrew Joseph could have arrived in the necessary unique position that Joseph found himself in as the defacto Ruler of Egypt without the definitely needed personal assistance of half Egyptian Ishmael's grandchildren and Egyptian Hagar's great grandchildren. The Genesis account gives them the short hand characterization of Ishmaelite.But the term Ishmaelite does not begin to reveal the whole story of who they actually were. And the term does not reveal the significant role they eventually played in not only rescuing Joseph from his murderous brothers. But they also played an exceptionally significant part in saving Israel from extinction then so that there still is an Israel today who can give Ishmael's grandchildren Arabs a really hard time today.And today Israel shows Arabs zero appreciation for their vital role in saving Jews from extinction. So if yesterday there would have been no Arab Egyptian Hagar and Ishmael, today there would be no Jewish Israel.

The harsh reality is this. Many of the people of Israel today virtually hate today's Arab's and have no appreciation of how it was Ishmael's near descendants (his grandchildren) who played a necessary role in empowering Joseph to rescue his extended family.When events are connected they reveal that there were greatly increased ties between the future extended family of Ishmael with Egypt. This increased contact with Egypt definitely laid the foundation for the grandchildren of Ishmael only a few decades later to have many commercial ties with Egypt resulting from Hagar's original roots in Egypt. Those roots undeniably layed ground work for those Arab/Egyptian merchants in their many trips to Egypt to later aid Joseph in being in the right position to rescue the Jacob family, later name Israel family from extinction.

(It is significant to recognize the role that the lust of Pharaoh for Abraham's wife, the beautiful Sarah (see Genesis 12:11,14) during an earlier famine played in establishing an Egyptian-Hebrew connection through the Pharaoh's gift to Abraham of Egyptian Hagar. As a direct result of this lust there were increased ties between Hagar's family with Egypt, which definitely laid the ground work for the grandchildren of Ishmael over the decades to have unique ties with Egypt through Hagar's roots in Egypt.)

Those roots significantly aided Ishmael's grandchildren over the decades to have unique ties with Egypt through Hagar's roots in Egypt. Those roots that significantly enable Ishmael's grandchildren to aid Joseph would not have been a factor in future grandchild Joseph rescuing Abraham's Jacob/Israel's extended family had it not been for the Pharaoh of Abraham's time having a lust for Abraham's wife Sarah who the Pharaoh innocently assumed was only Abraham's sister. (Please see Genesis 12:10-20 for this important foundational information) For if it were not for that significant payback gift of beautiful Hagar, Israel would be extinct today because there would have been no Arab/Egyptian children to rescue Joseph who rescued the extended Jacob/Israel family.

(As a sort of Lust footnote, Pharaoh's lust for beautiful Sarah set in motion the complicated scenario that led to Egyptian Arab grandchildren rescuing Joseph who rescued Jacob/Israel's family so there would not be an Israel today to bad mouth Arabs and persecute them.

In a negative comment about the lust of a leader, a convincing case can be made that if Bill Clinton had not lusted for Monica Lewinsky which significantly contributed to Al Gore being defeated by the incompetent George (shoot first) Bush, who started the Iraq war, that the wiser Gore would never have started that horribly bloody Iraq war that is not yet truly over. The point is that leaders' lust plays a significant role in historical outcomes and can cause rivers of unnecessary blood to flow or can save a nation as Pharoah's lust did.

For GOD definitely used Ishmael's Arab/Egyptian grandchildren to have prevented the Israel's people of today from having become extinct during Joseph's and Ishmael's grandchildren's time confirmed by the way that the then de facto Ruler of Egypt, Hebrew Joseph in Genesis 45 analyzed the realities of the catastrophic famine. So at the least, without the practical supplying of food that his powerful position of being in charge of all Egypt's food supplies, enabled him to provide to his extended family, the famine would have left their family destitute. Therefore, the harsh reality was that the family of Jacob/Israel would have been totally unable today to have become a nation of Hebrews, inconveniently located in the middle of a sea of reluctant Arabs. (Genesis 45:11)

But according to Genesis 45:5, and 7, that it was only a best case scenario that the extended family would have survived at all.It was far more likely that the worst scenario of the famine would have occurred wiping out most of the lives of Jacob's extended family if not all of their lives. So if either catastrophic famine scenario had occurred, one reality would have been absolutely certain. Without Joseph/Yusef having been safely delivered to adequate employment in Egypt where a number of improbable circumstance occurred for him before he become in charge of all the food supplies in Egypt, that would definitely not have occurred unless his own relatives through Ishmael had not delivered him safely and quite likely used their considerable Egyptian connections to provide him strategic employment.

Of course, some critics of my observations may say that just any of various groups of travelling merchants could have safely delivered Joseph to Egypt and the same amazing results could have and would have occurred. I totally disagree. For that hypothesis completely omits the obvious divine guidance of GOD in this amazing scenario. For the Hagar/Ishmael/Abraham/GOD combination definitely had the hand writing of GOD written all over it as GOD was constantly, intimately over decades significantly involved with the strategic combination of Abraham, Hagar, and Ishmael. GOD had brought Hagar into Ishmael's life through an eventful trip by Abraham enterogue to visit the Pharaoh in Egypt. (see Genesis 12) Then GOD later strategically used Sarah's impatience about not being able to get pregnant to have Abraham consent to take Hagar as his wife so they could have a child together with Abraham.

Then Hagar significantly presented Abraham with his first son (GOD Hears) Ishmael who quickly became a member of the Hebrew Covenant of Circumcision. Additionally, if there were not insignificant helpful connections with Egypt through a combination of Abraham in his visit to Pharaoh, and Abraham receiving a gift of Egyptian Hagar from the Pharoah. And that gift of Hagar played a significant role in saving Joseph and thus laying the indispensible foundation for Ishmael having a significant role in the saving of the nation of Israel so that it still exists today. It is amazing the way that GOD reveals Himself in history without man realizing what he is doing while the guilty groups get away with literal murder as the nine Jacob sons did. But people today still stereotype Ishmaelite as the people with character deficiencies.

Hagar as a personal gift from the Pharaoh and the half Egyptian Ishmael with his full Egyptian wife were extremely significant in Joseph's survival and thus the survival of the current Nation of Israel. Then, most recently, Ishmael's grandchildren strategically earned their living as merchants who frequently made trips to Egypt where they carefully nurtured their Egyptian contacts.

Therefore, for GOD not to have involved the strategic family of Ishmael in Joseph being used by GOD to save the extended family of Jacob/Israel from extinction thus saving Israel today would be totally counter intuitive as to the way that GOD often uses those who others don't expect Him to use.

Thus, for the man whom GOD named “GOD Hears” before he was born, to have no significant role in saving the murderous family of Israel from their own self defeating behavior, would be totally out of character for the way GOD reveals Himself in History. (As a case in point, GOD could find not one Jewish person to save his valuable Prophet Jeremiah from certain death in a well. So GOD found an African Ethiopian named Abdel Malech when no Jew could be located. Man often does not recognize the ways of GOD. So the deserving group or persons receive no recognition while the guilty group gets away with murder as Joseph's brothers did, but the victimized Arabs continues to get blamed for everything and virtually get credit for nothing as the heroic Ishmaelites have received absolutely no positive recognition for laying the foundation for saving Israel from extinction. Thus, Ishmael's grandchildren appeared on the scene to save Joseph who in turn saved Israel. So these ethical, caring grandchildren laid the foundation for the wealthy arrogant benefactors of the grandchildren of Ishmael's ethnical behavior like Birthright Israel does today. These unappreciative wealthy Jews viciously bad mouth and slander Arabs while making it appear that Jews are always the totally innocent victims.

And so it is with Israel today. Their very first ancestors, nine of Jacob/Israel's sons' revealed themselves as cold blooded murderers of the whole Hamar-Shechem city. Yet, you will find no Christian or Jew today who has the remotest familiarity with this disgusting, uncalled for, massacre that is described in ugly detail in Genesis 34. And the bloody brothers almost murdered their own brother. Yes, the Arab/Egyptians through Ishmael are the ones who laid the groundwork for Israel to be saved. But instead of the Arabs receiving due appreciation from any source for this most significant historical accomplishment. But the Arabs are the ones who got bad mouthed then as they still do today. Yet, it is the Israelis who are the people who have consistently revealed themselves as possessing an established predisposition for solving solvable problems with unnecessary violence and murder just as the older brothers or Jacob/Israel had that same predisposition. But even the U.S. Christian orientated Congress constantly supports Israel in its predisposition to solving most solvable problems with violence and murder and illegally occupying Arab land. But in contrast to even wishing to appear just, the U.S. Congress more often bad mouths Palestinians while financially, emotionally and politically supporting Israel.

Birthright Israel's Brain Washing

An unjust obnoxious case that shockingly makes the point of how truth gets turned upside down was vividly revealed in an excellent article in the combined July 4 and July 11, 2011 edition of The Nation magazine by Kiera Feldman. The article was entitled “The Romance of Birthright Israel.” Honestly, after thinking about the word romance being used in the words of the title and reading the article, I still remain puzzled about what was intended by featuring the appealing word romance in the title. Was it due to the brainwashing program's acknowledged purpose of stimulating romance between single young Jews so that they would desire to marry other Jews within Judaism and not outside of Judaism? For instance, the article had this revelation about their overtly stimulating romance between young participants. “Many groups pass a night in a fake Bedouin tent, participants sleep crowded together, a setup conducive to first kisses.”

The article openly further acknowledges: “No problem is there in these intimate encounters', an Israel Outdoors employee told American staffers during training. In fact, it's encouraged! Birthright boasts that alumni are 51% more likely to marry other Jews than non-participants.”

So is the romance just described in the Bedouin tent the Romance being referred to in the title of The Nation article. Or, is the Romance being referenced in the title the whole notion and concept of the Romance and challenge of building a new apartheid state with much U.S. support, in the midst of generally opposed Arab States with a combined population totalling well over 100 million.

But the cognitive dissonance, incongruity, and injustice of the whole endeavor of Birthright Israel is this. It has been founded by wealthy billionaire American Jews who would not be alive or ever have existed if it were not for the aid of the ancestors of present Arabs, one of whom received many of his billions from the Jewish Seagram lacquer industry. So the program sponsored by Jews who owe Arabs their very lives provide a free all expenses paid two weeks visit to Israel for systematic indoctrination that obviously has a strong pro Israel bias. It is not stretching it to call it brainwashing for the nation of Israel. But more flagrant and even obscene is that much of the negative brainwashing is against Arabs and especially Palestinian Arabs. This reality is easily revealed by these quotes from The Nation article.

Participants “visit the occupied Golan Heights, listen to lectures on Zionism and spend their nights boozing with the IDF (Israel Defense Force) Soldiers.” (The IDF “boozers” are soldiers who are mostly very anti-Arab)

“Soldiers meet Birthrighters in full uniform, spend the remainder of the mifgash in civilian clothing and then dress back in uniform for the encounters final day.”

“Birthright's boosters seem strangely unaware of the tribes more visible woes, the forty-four year illegal occupation of Palestinian lands and the racism and legal discrimination that underpins Israel's ethnocracy.”

“From my notes on Day 8, 'Israel just went in and cleaned Gaza' Shachar said of Operation Cast Lead…”

“Shachar pointed to tin shacks- Bedouin villages- and jovially detailed the Bedouin home – demolition campaign saying the IDF needed to kick them away.”

“Don't go to the Arab Quarter because they will throw acid on your face, Max Geller recalls his Birthright guide saying in 2006.”

“Geller's trip also featureAwesomeSeminar.com's Neil Lazarus, a pro-Israel advocacy trainer who says he's delivered presentations since Birthright's inception, (When the Palestinians Kill Israeli men, women, and children, Lazarus says in one online video, 'they celebrate, and they give out sweets in the streets.) Lazarus' take home was, according to Geller, 'Arabs want to kill you.”

“Jared Malsin went to a 2007 Birthright trip where IDF soldiers role-played a checkpoint. 'The message was every single Palestinian is a threat until proven otherwise.”

In view of these former quotes, this next quote is saturated with arrogant irony.

“A recent Birthright open bar night was dubbed, 'Zionism Is Humanitarian.'”

“I trust that they're doing the right thing,” Jewish Federations President Jerry Silverman told me when asked about Birthright support of (illegal) settlements. Such was the terrorist headbands he claimed to have collected from the bodies of Palestinians he'd killed. The activity came to a close with a round of sweet Bedouin tea. 'To life' we cheered, raising our glasses five miles from the largest open air prison in the world.”

“Just enjoy the experience,' a tour guide told me when I denounced the remarks of one Birthright employee.”

Our guide…said things like, “Arabs are those who originated from Saudi Arabia.” 'And everything we saw out the tour bus window was in the Bible' reinforcing Zionist claims of the predominant sentiment of the funders on this matter, and on the overt racism expressed on some trips: Birthright, like Israel itself, can do no wrong.”

At a cookout “we learned the story of Gvulots founding- conquest over Palestinians – in the manner of all summer camp lessons: skits with gratuitous cross-dressing. The part of the man who prances on stage with makeshift breasts was played by Yossi Mizrahi, then a goofy 21 year old Israeli soldier, adored by the entire Birthright group. He'd fought in Operation Cast Lead and he liked to show us the land. He used 'Palestinian' interchangeably with terrorist.”

Does Birthright Israel Express on GOD's Perspective on Birthright Israel?

There is no doubt that that is not the perspective of the former Rabbi from Tarsas who experienced the Risen Messiah appearing to him more than once and became his chief first century spokesperson and also wrote about 50% of the New Testament. He summarized the Jews specialness with these words in the ninth chapter of his letter to the Christians at Rome:

“Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory, the covenant, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs and from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ…”

But these special blessing do not for one second give the descendants of Jacob/Israel the right to denigrate Arabs and even substitute their present grip on the land of Israel as a substitute for the Biblical GOD Himself.

A partner in founding Birthright, Michael Steinhardt, professes “faith in Israel is a substitute for theology.”

Does this mean, Mr. Delusional Steinhardt, that since non Jewish persons such as Arabs and/or Muslims do not have the land of Israel as an idol to worship instead of GOD, that all these other persons have been deserted by GOD to have no GOD.

But here is the wasteland of reality in which persons like the Birthrighters have chosen to live. If it had not been for the ethics and compassion that the grandchildren of Ishmael possessed but was totally absent from the hearts of Joseph's murderous brothers, there would be no Birthright Israel and no Israel. The brothers were nine of the first patriarchs of Israel and if it had been left in the hands of these brothers there would be no people of Israel today. So it logically follows that there would also be no established free two weeks brainwashing romantic training camps in the very land of Israel established in order to brainwash eligible unmarried young Jews to hate the ancestors of the Ishmael Egyptian Arabs who aided their own significant ancestor Joseph to prevent them from becoming extinct.

So if these arrogant unappreciative wealthy Jewish billionaires had not received help from those who were Arabs, one of the billionaire supporters of Birthright Israel would not have had the opportunity to receive billions of dollars from his relatives lucrative whiskey business or another wealthy supporter receiving multiple millions from his casino empire. If there had been no compassionate, dependable, (not murderous) grandchildren of the Egyptian Arab Ishmael there would be no Israel. But there would be fewer exploited Arabs. So if it were not for Egyptian Hagar, and Hebrew/Egyptian Ishmael and Ishmael's Egyptian mother there would without a doubt be no Palestinian/Arab hating Israel today. And there definitely would be no arrogant wealthy racist supporters for a prosperous Birthright Israel organization today.

No Ishmael Grandchild - No Today's Israel

But there is a GOD who is revealed in the Book of Genesis, the Hebrew Torah. And because this GOD had his own unique plan of how he would rescue Joseph from his own murderous brothers and would then use Joseph to rescue the extended family of Jacob/Israel and essentially all of Israel from permanent extinction. And the GOD of the Bible's plan included using Ishmael's grandchildren to aid in rescuing Joseph from his murderous brothers. And because these grandchildren feared GOD enough to have the personal ethics and the compassion and the personal network connections to pave the way for Joseph to secure an appropriate position in the foreign nation of Egypt which eventually led to GOD saving the extended family of Jacob/Israel. And because the Arab/Egyptian grandchildren merchants of Ishmael were GOD's vital link to saving Joseph who was GOD's choice to save Israel who saved the wealthy Jewish billionaires and other millionaires who founded Birthright Israel. Therefore Birthright Israel is able to totally unethically and immorally exploit their good fortune by brainwashing Jewish young people to worship the Idol of the land of Israel and to hate the Arabs whose ancestors had a major role in helping Joseph to keep them from becoming extinct.

But doesn't it just put icing on the cake for Birthright Israel to get away with murder. That the Birthright graduates will without restraint fulfill one of the main purposes of Birthright. Without mentioning anything about the significant role of the Egyptian/Arab role in saving Joseph whom GOD used to save the people of Israel from extinction, they can go back and face anti-Zionists on their compasses with this devious message. “Don't tell me what you saw on CNN about Israel and the Arabs because I was there.” Isn't this know-it-all comment compelling evidence of arrogant, obscene, naive mockery?
