“F__ SADDAM #1” In Effect “F___ The Constraints of Civilization.” In Front of Four Key Witnesses the Brazen U.S. Leader Vilely Cursed Civilization’s Constraints. “F_____ SADDAM. WE”RE TAKING HIM OUT.” President Bush is well aware that the now Risen Messiah once sternly warned: “What you have whispered in secret in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.” Luke 12 President Bush is also aware that our Risen Messiah taught: “What comes out of a man’s mouth, that is what makes him unclean.” Matthew 15 “The first two lines of page 74 of the March 31, 2003 Time Magazine read: “F_____SADDAM. WE’RE TAKING HIM OUT.” Those were the words of President George W. Bush, who poked his head into the office of National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice.” A Concise Summary of U.S. Foreign PolicyCan we not say that the President’s carefully chosen words were a concise summary of the breadth and depth of U.S. Foreign Policy? Significantly, a picture on the same page shows the President with his eyes tightly shut and his hands folded in what appears to be sincere prayer. The professional newsperson who laid out the page should be applauded. He masterfully enabled the reader to observe the vivid contrast between the praying Bush, and the simplistic, cursing Bush. Thus, on one page this experienced lay out person exposed the appalling lack of depth of the self-proclaimed leader of the world. Admittedly, my analysis is incorrect if the President was praying for forgiveness for himself and his advisors. I will now open myself to the criticism that I am making too much of our President’s use of the “F” word which some other former Presidents also used. Nevertheless, this word is considered one of the vilest words in the English vocabulary. Undoubtedly, Barbara Bush, the President’s mother taught her three sons never to be so degenerate as to use the “F” word. She obviously knew that using this word is a sure way for children to be suspended from school. But especially was he taught that a word such as this should never, never be used in the presence of a girl or woman. A Conscious ChoiceNevertheless, not only did the President consciously choose to use this word against a national leader, but the context in which he used it reveals some exceptionally disturbing implications. The fact that he fired off this vile word in the presence of a respected woman, his National Security Advisor, Condoleeza Rice, raises serious issues that must not be swept under the rug. According to Time Magazine, in her position as National Security Advisor, Miss Rice was having a serious discussion with three U.S. Senators about how to deal with Iraq through the United Nations. The four respected leaders were also discussing the possibility of a coalition of Middle Eastern Nations becoming more involved in resolving the Iraq crises. So the President of the U.S. abruptly poked his head into the office and crudely interrupted the four significant office holders with the succinct and precise language that in his style as President, he has developed to an art form. “F…Saddam. We’re taking him out.” End of Discussion! Nevertheless, it is incumbent upon each of us in a Democratic Society to not allow any person, no matter how powerful and infallible that person considers himself to be, to shut our mouths or our minds with his vile conspicuous attempts to control, manipulate, insult and coerce. So in his obsession to destroy Saddam, we will analyze the different persons, groups and entities that Mr. Bush is in effect, using the “F” word against when he presidentially proclaims, “F… Saddam. We’re taking him out.” 1. He is using the “F” word against the leader of a Sovereign Nation, who is still the leader of that nation whether or not he is dangerous and has done despicable things through his serious abuse of power. It is also relevant that there are millions throughout the world who are totally convinced that President Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfield and Paul Wolfowitz have abused their power in a worse but less obvious fashion than Saddam Hussein. It is significant that many who believe this are persons of stature internationally. As of this writing on April 16, 2002, the case for Saddam Hussein being a threat to other nations because of the possession of weapons of mass destruction has not been made. And in no case had the case for the weapons of mass destruction been made more than one year before, when the President first made his definitive “F” proclamation. Therefore, at this time the case can be made that the U.S., Britain and Australia have conducted an illegal war in Iraq. So, what does that make President Bush? Does his own doctrine of “shaky Pre-emption” clear him of being guilty of a serious war crime? 2. The “F” word was used against respect for the office of the National Security Advisor. The competent woman holding that office was prevented by her President’s crude ultimatum from fully using her considerable expertise to try to make a concrete contribution to solving a delicate and complicated problem, whose solution had significant international implications? But the deep thinking Mr. Bush who is a self-proclaimed legal scholar basically said, “F” the process because I have decided that the simple solution is to “F” Saddam. How can this intelligent woman actually respect the depth and breadth of her boss and continue to work under his authority? 3. Before leaving the vile presidential announcement that was abruptly made at the door of Condoleeza Rice, we will consider an issue which some will think is insignificant. When a person is assigned his or her own private office, that office is considered as belonging to the person and that personal space is not to be violated. Whether or not a person knocks on the door to obtain permission to enter is not the issue. The give and take of what is occurring in the office between competent persons must be respected. No immature adult has the right to arrogantly interrupt the flow of intelligent information in that office to crudely announce that the person and nation which they are discussing should be “f…ed.” (What caliber of man did we sort of democratically elect to be the self-proclaimed leader of the free world? It is not difficult to conclude that we could have done better.) “F______” the Common Courtesy of Respect for Women4. There is an old fashioned idea which millions, if not billions throughout the world do not consider old fashioned but instead is a quite reasonable common courtesy. While it is generally agreed that in all English speaking societies that it is always crude to use the “F” word, there is one circumstance where its use is in especially bad taste. It is universally agreed that a person who chooses to use this word in front of a woman has virtually no respect for the woman or is an unusually low bred person or both. The U.S. President usually appears to respect Condoleeza Rice. Therefore, that leaves one alternative for why he would choose to use the “F” word in her presence. The President of the U.S. has both a dirty mind and a dirty mouth and is filled with arrogance. He essentially was saying, “F_____” tradition, etiquette and special respect for women. I am the respected president of the most powerful nation in the history of man. Therefore, I make the rules of what is to be considered correct manners.” Racism? Unfortunately, another factor must be considered while processing the President’s lack of reluctance to use this vile word in the presence of Miss Rice? So we will ask, would he have used this word in the presence of his own wife or his own daughters? Hopefully not. Also, would he have used it in front of the wife of former President Carter even if she worked everyday in the White House? No, he would be quite careful not to use “F” in front of that particular woman. Yet, he did quickly used it right in the presence of a very religious, devout, cultured and educated Condoleeza Rice. And they were not in the President’s own office where he has more of a right to say what he wants. They were in her own private office with her own private guests. Therefore, why would he feel so free to invade the space of a woman whom he knew to be devout? He had to know that she would be deeply offended by the disrespect shown her by the President of the United States for using such a vile word in the presence of private guests in her own office. Quite possibly this occurred because this President has not resolved his subconscious feelings that a female of an Afro- American background is inferior to a white female. Therefore, in his mind the Black female should not receive the same respect the white female deserves even though the President knows that this respected woman is a devout Christian from a devout, respected family. 5. Unfortunately this brings us to another case of potential Racism by our popular President. It may be assumed by many Americans that it is perfectly okay for the U.S. President to say, “F…Saddam Hussein,” whether he is a head of state or not. This is at least partially due to this leader’s reputation for cruelty, repression and killing people in is own nation and for starting wars. But we must ask, did President Roosevelt ever say, “F… Hitler?" Probably not. So it is relevant to ask if President Bush would have ever said, “F… Hitler” about the non-Arab, white, Hitler. So it is legitimate to ask if subconscience racism, in addition to oil and Israel, might play a significant part in U.S. – Mid-East policy toward Iraq. George W. Bush would never say, “F…Ariel! We’re taking him out.” No matter what that white Israeli Prime Minister would do. As for an Arab Palestinian, such as Yasser Arafat, who knows how often he has been a recipient of the “F” word behind the walls of The Gray house since the George W. Bush Presidency. Or, has President Bush even felt at liberty to use this term against Chairman Arafat inside the office of Miss Rice like he did with Saddam Hussein while in her office. So we must examine how much racism toward Arabs influence our Middle East policy. 6. We must remember that it was three respected members of the Senate with whom Dr. Rice was having a serious discussion when the President used the “F” word against a national leader. To give the President the benefit of the doubt, we will hope that the three senators were all men. Whether they were men or women, they were conducting a private discussion with the National Security Advisor in her own private office. Therefore, for the President to interrupt this significant discourse between three senators and his National Security Advisor with a crude conversation stopper is for the President to effectively shout, “F…the U.S. Senate! What the Senate thinks and says does not count. Only what I and my male inner circle has to say, counts. So F…not only the U.S. Senate but the rest of the Congress.” “F_____ the United Nations”7. The thrust of the discussion was how the United Nations could be involved in the potential disarming of Iraq. Therefore, for the President to rudely and crudely stop the substantial discussion about U.S. involvement was for the President to take a giant step toward International disorder by basically saying regarding the UN, “F_____ the United Nations. We’re taking out Saddam Hussein and there’s nothing the UN can do about it.” Mr. President, are you just crude? Or is it that you have an unrestrained arrogance? Or, are you simply insane? Or, are you even capable of understanding why your behavior makes such questions relevant? 9. Significantly, Dr. Rice represented those in the President’s own Administration who dare to think other thoughts that the President and Wolfowitz’s (Wolf for wits) new simplistic neoconservative line. In rudely and crudely shutting off sincere efforts, the President essentially said, “F… all of those wrong thinkers in my Administration who have not yet learned from Paul Wolfowitz or myself about how we expect them to think.” By not giving diplomacy and arms inspections a serious chance for success, the President’s urgency for the Iraq war to occur as soon as it did was once again the President resorting to his “F” word foreign policy. When the reasonable possibility that the war could have been avoided if more Arabs had been involved in more serious diplomatic efforts with Iraq, it was as if a calloused President was saying: “F” the deaths of all who die and are maimed in this war. 10. “F” all of the arms inspectors. 11. “F” all of the Arab leaders who could have been more involved in serious negotiations. 12. “F” the pain and suffering the dead leave behind in the lives of their families, relatives, and friends 13. “F” those who die of disease when their water is cut off and sewage is a problem. 14. “F” all those from several nations who will die or suffer permanent injury in the war. “F_____ Civilization”15. In fact, “F” civilization because that is what I am doing when I refuse to cooperate with the restraints of civilization which are designed to prevent the world from falling into chaos. For you must understand that it is only myself and my regime which is the only entity that is truly capable of making correct decisions which involve life and death for our nation and other nations. There may be those who will suggest that I have made too big a deal about one innocent four letter word that the President uttered. After all, he assumed that it was only a private off hand comment he made to three senators and a high ranking presidential advisor. If that is what the president assumed, he is truly not very bright. Did the president not realize that even if the Senators were all tough-talking males, they had a perfect right to be quite offended at the president’s crude interruption of their substantial discussion? Did he not realize that so serious was his violation of accepted manners and professional courtesy, that each of the four had a virtual responsibility to inform the press of the circumstances of the President’s use of vile, demeaning language. There has been much in the American sports media recently about certain coaches losing their coaching positions because of disrespect they bring to their athletic programs and their universities due to their questionable public behavior. It is a sad day for America when the President of the U.S. uses the “F” word in a more inappropriate circumstance than Coach Bobby Knight would ever consider using it. Yet, Bobby Knight was fired partly for his crude and abusive language, while the President is in danger of being re-elected for his “F them one and all” foreign policy which heaps abuse on the entire world order. The President’s “F” word episode also brings into question both his level of intelligence and his desire to win the next election. He must be smart enough to realize that there are millions of voters whose moral standards are such that Bush’s “Foul mouth” could lose their respect and cost both him and his next running mate needed votes. So Time Magazine did a valuable service for us all. It made the two lead sentences a concise symbolic summary of what new neoconservatism stands for in an article that featured the influential new neoconservatism of Paul Wolf for wits and the Administration. For without realizing it, the President in two brief sentences concisely summarized the foreign policy of the new neoconservatives led by this rabid wolf in sheeps clothing. His policy is that when the U.S. becomes suspicious of the damage another nation can do, it will purposely keep diplomacy to a minimum with that nation. Then the President will arrogantly announce. “F… such and such nation. We’re taking them out.” Look out Syria, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Iran, Jordan. and… for here comes the thoughtful and creative U.S. neoconservatives shouting in unison. “F…so and so nation. We’re taking them out!” Thus sayeth Bush, Wolfowitz and neoconservatism. But William Shakespeare has a very relevant comment about their arrogant presumption. “There is many a slip between the cup and the lip.” Oh America! Beware of the leaven of the pharisaical neoconservatives. Now that the policy of the neoconservatives of pre-emption, has been temporarily rewarded in Iraq by less loss of U.S., British and Australian lives than they had imagined, the self-righteousness and arrogance of the U.S., will know no bounds. (I refuse to use the immoral and misrepresentative term, “coalition forces.”) How and when ALLAH’s intervention will occur, we do not know. But ALLAH hates arrogance. “ “Let him who thinks he stands, take heed last he fall.” We must consider one more aspect of Bush’s “F_____ You!” policy. The month and year cited by Time Magazine of the want-to-be statesman’s unwelcome visit to the office of his National security Advisor was March, 2002. So the President’s emphatic declaration of what he personally pledged that the U.S. official policy towards Iraq would be, was approximately one year before the final stage of the all out invasion officially began. Yes, some may argue that the plan was not yet set in concrete at that point. I would counter that for Bush to interrupt three U.S. Senators and his U.S. National Security Advisor the way he did, the illegal plan was already totally set in the concrete minds of his inner circle composed of such amoral men as Donald Rumsfield, Dick Cheney and Paul Wolfowitz. Bush’s emphasis on the We of We’re taking him out was not telling the three Senators and the National Security Advisor that this is what the four had decided because that is not what those more rational persons had decided. They were the ones who still were still sincerely seeking to pursue other more reasonable options. But the decisive but superficial President’s emphasis was on the “We” who represent the shallow minds who truly make the decisions. They are also the power elite who manipulates the other authority worshippers to rubberstamp the myopic decision which this power elite has already made. What are the implications of the arrogant hijacking of a supposedly democratic society? This immoral manipulation makes the virtual make believe weapons inspection a sinister and schrewd charade. The inspections were a cruel mocking of the weapons inspectors, the Iraqi people, the U.N. and the people of the entire world. The inspections were only a cruel joke because the decision to invade had been set in concrete by Bush’s “F…” them policy almost a year before the inspections began. The whole process was only an obvious attempt to gain time in order to get the invasion forces fully in place as well as an attempt to manipulate the international global community to prostitute themselves by awarding legitimacy to an illegal war. Bush had already declared that whether or not Weapons of Mass Destruction were or were not to be found, a forced regime change would definitely occur. Many who are so fortunate to be unfamiliar with the language of the U.S. street, may not realize that raising the Middle Finger is the non-verbal way of saying, “F_____ you!” U.S. President George W. Bush by crudely but emphatically proclaiming to four senior U.S. Officials, “F_____ Saddam. We’re taking him out,” accomplished something no other U.S. President has ever accomplished. First, he symbolically raised his middle finger for the entire world to see. Then, he probably flashed his infamous but nervous smile. Finally, in less than two seconds, he graciously said to weapon’s inspectors, to the U.S. Government, to womanhood, to culture, to the UN, to the Muslim World and to Civilization the two eloquent words which most accurately summarize his attitude toward all others who do not fully share his opinion: “F_____ You!” AddendumTo utterly disregard the constraints which are necessary to prevent civilization from spiraling into chaos, has been developed into an immoral foreign policy learned by George W. Bush from his mentor, Paul Wolfowitz. Therefore, is it any surprise that Paul Wolfowitz is Donald Rumsfield’s chief assistant and the man who appointed General Jay Garner to bring healing to Iraq? Without adding to the fifteen entities listed which the President unceremoniously “F_____ed,” two more entities need to be considered. As General Jay reminded potential leaders in Iraq, the area which is today’s Iraq is known as the very “birth place of civilization.” Also, this area gave birth to both the Father and Mother of Judaism and Christianity, the Prophet Abraham and his wife, Sarah. Additionally, the Prophet Abraham is the Father of Islam, the third great monotheistic religion. So you would think that out of respect for the unparalleled heritage of the Nation of Iraq, and out of respect for Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the U.S. President could have realized that he was involved in the destiny of nation with as rich a spiritual heritage as any nation on the earth. Yes, President Bush was virtually walking on “Holy Ground.” Yet, demonstrating his great depth as a leader, he announced his momentous decision for a regime change in that nation with words which were quite eloquent for such a superficial President: “F_____Saddam! We’re Taking Him Out!” back to "My Earlier Stirrings" page
