The Spirit of ALLAH and Two Camp David’s

Was ALLAH’s Spirit Even Invited to the Clinton Camp David?

“Then We sent unto her (Maryam) Our Spirit.” Maryam 19:17

“Then We breathed unto her (Maryam) Our Spirit.” Al-Anbiya 21:91

“We breathed unto her (Maryam) some of Our Spirit.” At-Tahrim 66:12

Each of these verses from the Holy Quran is describing how ALLAH brought life to the womb of the virgin Maryam through His Spirit. There is an exceptionally important verse in the Old Testament Scripture which also makes it abundantly clear how ALLAH does and does not do his Mighty Works.

“Not by might, not by Power, but by My Spirit says the LORD Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6

At the second Camp David, perhaps the most brilliant, charming President that has ever governed the U.S., failed in his sincere attempt to negotiate a peaceful agreement between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

I am operating on the presupposition that it is not the cleverness of man that accomplishes great triumphs but that it is ALLAH’s Spirit who accomplishes what frail human beings cannot. Therefore, I am going to analyze why the Clinton Camp David was doomed to failure while the first Camp David had a peaceful outcome.

The Clinton Camp David

I apologize in advance for the negative observations I will make regarding former President Bill Clinton. It makes me uncomfortable to write negative things about any person. However, when a person take on the awesome responsibility of making decisions which may cause death for thousands, if not millions, spiritual factors which may influence these multitudes of potential deaths deserve to be considered. However, I would much rather be wrong in every negative observation I make about any one. Therefore, it is with an awesome fear of the Judgement of ALLAH when I make negative observations about leaders who are obviously much more significant and much worthier persons than myself.

I am told that Andy Rooney of 60 minutes fame, read of an expert who analyzed the intelligence of every U.S. President. Not surprisingly, Bill Clinton turned out to be the most intelligent. It is also not a surprise to many that the present, “shoot em first president and ask questions later,” came out at the very bottom of the intelligence scale.

The exceptionally intelligent Bill Clinton undoubtedly achieved many great accomplishments which future historians will enumerate. But for my purposes I will put a magnifying glass on one glaring negative. Consequently, I will even partially blame Clinton for George W. Bush’s most evil accomplishment- the dreadful ravaging of the people and nation of Iraq even before international weapons inspectors had a thorough opportunity to determine the international legality for such pre-emptive destruction.

He Did Not Need ALLAH’s Spirit

Bill Clinton was so charming and intelligent that it would seem that he did not need ALLAH’s Pure Spirit to help him at Camp David. After all, he had charmed brilliant statesmen and an assortment of needy women. So why would he not be able to charm the clever but inferior to himself physically, mentally and in political stature, Yasser Arafat. So he probably thought he could manipulate this clever Palestinian into a lop sided peace agreement. For just think, if he pulled that off, he would have those people whom he and his colleagues considered to be “ALLAH’s Chosen,” eternally grateful to him. But also, such an accomplishment would usher in a lop sided peace to the Middle East and therefore much of the horrible killing would stop. Besides, quite important in both his mind and in the minds of many others, it would assure him a big time place in history among the great presidents of the past. Possibly most importantly, such an accomplishment would go a long way in cleansing his semen stain from the memories of millions. (I refer to the semen that he had inadvertently splattered on the skirt of a spellbound young intern whose life he left in ruins.)

So why, with so much at stake, would this great man choose to humble himself under the Mighty Power of ALLAH? Why would such a man of proven stature resist humbly pleading with ALLAH to accomplish through His Pure Spirit what no human should think he could accomplish by himself? Because Bill Clinton was not considered to be an ordinary man. So he had no need to realize that he desperately needed ALLAH’s great help. Such a realization was unlikely because that would require the great Bill Clinton to sincerely acknowledge that in addition to great strengths, he possessed even greater weaknesses. But he was only willing to acknowledge two weaknesses. The first was his inability to resist lust. The second was his inability to effectively cover up his adultery because he was unsuccessful at imposing a new “Clintonian” meaning for such a profound word as “is.”

In reality, what difference did it actually make that one more powerful American politician had such difficulty keeping his zipper zipped? First of all, if he had been a spiritual man of integrity, instead of a man who was a slave to his passions and had sincerely sought the aid and guidance of ALLAH’s Pure Spirit, the second Camp David could well have brought a just peace to the Middle East. Most certainly, if a just peace had been achieved, hundreds of Palestinian and Israeli lives would have been saved and desperate suffering would have been prevented in the U.S. war with Iraq. So it is not remote to suggest the President Clinton’s choice to accommodate a young star-struck intern’s confused emotional needs by selfishly committing adultery, very probably cost thousands of Iraqis lives. Yes, it also cost the lives of a yet to be known number of Americans and British, as well as a number of persons from other nations.

Not nearly as serious as the loss of this precious human life, is a little known fact. This world leader’s unbridled lust is known to have further popularized a certain type of sexual exploitation by thousands of American and possibly foreign males of vulnerable young women.. Since President Clinton’s particular type of exploitive sexual behavior is now practiced by many more males, there is the strong possibility that this brilliant and charismatic American world leader has opened the gate for more young impressionable, daughters sisters and grand daughters in other nation’s also to be more apt to yield to their male manipulators. Unfortunately many of these young women have been conditioned to believe that they have an obligation to satisfy all the sexual demands of their temporary male partners.

For how is a vulnerable and naïve young girl able to counter her boyfriend’s clever argument:

“You should do this for me, because if the girlfriend of the President of the United States did it for him, how can you say it is wrong? So you should not refuse to perform this natural expression of love for me.”

I certainly have no way of knowing that throat gonorrhea is spreading among girls and women outside the U.S. However according to a 2002 article in Newsweek magazine, American doctors have found an alarming rise in throat sexual disease among even young girls after the charming President’s well published exploitation of the emotional needs of the young, vulnerable White House Intern. But a survey of the world’s doctors regarding this issue could possibly produce some shocking and disillusioning results about what is also occurring in the throats of precious young girls outside the U.S.

A Choice Worthy of a Father

Think what a wonderful difference it could have made for the entire world if when our charismatic world leader discovered this vulnerable young woman’s severe emotional needs, he had made a responsible decision to meet her true needs by guiding her to a competent therapist. Tragically, he took the selfish road and met his own depraved sensual needs. Yes, President Clinton should have made a mature choice worthy of the father of a teenage daughter and worthy of a world leader, to seek professional therapy for this young woman. Instead he or she unzipped his pants. If he had been a more compassionate and more responsible human being, this world could be a much different place today. If he made a different choice, quite possibly we would not have had the unnecessary bloodshed in the Occupied West Bank, Israel and Iraq.

Concerning the unintentional complicity of President Clinton in the present horrible Iraq war, it is not even debatable whether a bloody, frantic, premature war was the most effective way to deal with the potential of Iraq to have weapons of mass destruction. Also, the policy decision of the Bush gang that a regime change was immediately necessary was a decision that had highly questionable international legality.   When you factor into Bush’s largely destructive decision, the fact that the arrogant and abrasive Bush Administration has deliberately offended and alienated most of the former friends of the U.S., it is difficult to imagine a more dishonorable and counter productive Administration.

We will now consider another exceptionally disturbing reality. Yet, it is an unpopular reality because to use the world “if” is considered simplistic. Nevertheless, since the future of a great nation, and also the lives of tens of thousands, if not millions of human beings are involved, to not consider consequences of stupid, immoral decisions in order to gain perspective and assign responsibility, is itself highly irresponsible.

If Bill Clinton had not selfishly met his sexual needs through an emotionally needy intern, President Bill Clinton would not have brought terrible shame on his administration. If Al Gore had not been forced to carry into his election campaign, the negative baggage connected with being closely associated with the Clinton shame, Gore would not have lost the election to the most poisonous Bush in the history of man.

Therefore, if a man such as Al Gore, who has much more wisdom and common sense than Bush, had become President, there is a strong possibility that a much more sensible plan to contain Saddam Hussein would have been developed. Regrettably the courts of his brother’s state, virtually appointed Bush to be president of the United States even though he came out second in the popular vote. Therefore, despite the protests of those who say “ifs” are irrelevant, there is a moral reality which must be faced.

If Bill Clinton had been able to have as much control over his own pants as he had over world leaders, this world would be Bushless. Would it be a safer place if it were Bushless? Yes! A Bushless world would be much safer even though there was still a Saddam Hussein and an Osama Bin Laden. In fact, a Bushless world would be a safer place even if there were an Ariel Sharon and a Benyamin Netanyahu. Oh, if only clothes manufacturers could invent zippers that certain lustful men could not unzip! For such a zipper could have prevented a poisonous Bush from spreading his poison throughout the Middle East.

The Spirit of ALLAH and Camp David One

Shortly after the Iraq war started, one of the most right wing commentators in existence, who receives his pay from the self-righteous FOX News Network, publicly classified former U.S. President Jimmy Carter as “DESPICABLE.” This Nobel Prize winner and respected humanitarian supposedly earned this evil label for expressing opposition to the popular Bush War in Iraq.

While Jimmy Carter was himself President, he managed to also get himself labeled negatively for honestly acknowledging in a magazine interview that despite sincere attempts to avoid it, he sometimes had lustful thoughts. In fact, the outrage over Jimmy Carter’s honesty over some lustful thoughts was with some critics more pronounced than Bill Clinton’s horrible, repeated immoral acts. Also, his admitting of these thoughts was considered almost as shocking as Clinton’s deplorable denials about his consistent lewd behavior.

Whether one agrees with all of Jimmy Carter’s decisions as President or even whether he always told the truth in each and every circumstance is not the major issue. Despite his flaws, President Carter had a crucial strength and he brought that strength to Camp David One. That vital strength that ALLAH honored, was his fierce desire to please the ALMIGHTY.

There was a phenomenon that occurred behind the scenes at Camp David One, that was absolutely crucial to the amount of success that was experienced there, even if you do not view Camp David One as a total success. What occurred behind the public eye at David I almost certainly did not occur at Camp David II. For at David I, you had three men who were able to acknowledge both their weakness and their deep need of help and guidance from ALLAH’s Pure Spirit. In contrast, Camp David Two was led by such a brilliant man that he even had great difficulty acknowledging that he had any major character flaws. Nevertheless, certain of his flaws were obvious to almost every school child in America.

What was it that an Egyptian, an Israeli and an American agreed to have occur behind the scenes at Camp David One which made a giant contribution to the success of that Camp David? It was what we may call a “Covenant of Trust.”

A Covenant of Trust

Significantly, ALLAH had arranged that each of these three men all had met the same humble, self effacing, disarming servant of ALLAH. So they agreed together to invite this particular man to be their Spiritual consultant on the main Camp David One issue which was lasting peace between Israel and Egypt.

But how could an Israeli Jew, an Egyptian Muslim and an American Baptist each agree on one appropriate man to provide them Spiritual Guidance. It seems that it was essential for there to be the following five ingredients present for them to be able to agree on such a man.

1.   Each of the three had to be absolutely convinced that without the active involvement of the Merciful ALMIGHTY, their best efforts were doomed to failure.

2.   They had to agree on one man who had the full respect of each of them even though that man would obviously have an official religious label that was different than at least two of the three leaders.

3.   They had to be convinced that ALLAH’s man would be so committed to Him that he would be totally fair to the two men whose official religion was different than his own.

4.   The four men, when the Spiritual advisor was included, each had to have a faith in ALLAH which transcended whether the other person was a Muslim, a Jew or a Christian.

5.   As strange as it may seem to say so, each person needed to posses a firm belief that ALLAH Himself was broad enough in His own perspective that He would bless the efforts of each leader to bring peace, even though they each believed in Him in a somewhat different way.

Significantly, the man these three important men chose to be a spiritual consultant was so humble that he later was willing to become a close personal friend of a very unimportant person such as myself about four years after Camp David One. He initiated our friendship after he had read a book I had written while living in Saudi Arabia. (I had self-publish a book titled “Sound the Alarm From Saudi Arabia – Sout Al-Nathaar min Mamlaka Saudia” and had sent about three thousand copies to people throughout the world.) Our friendship began about a year before the assassination of Anwar Sadat, whose sudden death affected my friend very deeply.

Interestingly, though the spiritual consultant was of the same general religion as the Baptist Carter, it is my recollection that it was the Jewish Began who was instrumental in introducing the Lutheran consultant to the Muslim Sadat. Then, it seemed to be Sadat who was instrumental in making certain this unique man eventually met President Carter.

The Messiah Remains Alive

The outstanding characteristics of this gentle, humble person appeared to me to be his fierce conviction that the Messiah of the Quran who is the same Messiah of the previous scriptures, remains alive today and yearns for the day that there will be peace on earth. He also believes firmly that the Living Messiah has a strong commitment to fairness and justice, and that he loves to promote peace; that he also represents ALLAH in the affairs of man as a spiritual guide and healer of both men and nations.

Finally, this gentleman who is now in his mid eighties, is absolutely convinced that ALLAH intervenes practically in the affairs of man when persons are willing to acknowledge that is not their own brilliance and charisma that will accomplish His Will, but only ALLAH’s Pure Spirit.

Arrogance is Dishonorable

Therefore, man must be dependent on His Pure Spirit who honors a purity of heart. But he does not honor arrogance. Nor does he honor the efforts of myopic leaders who trust in weapons, wealth and technology rather than truly acknowledging the Sovereignty of ALLAH over the affairs of man. He also does not honor a leader involved in gross moral impurity unless there has been exceptionally deep repentance.

(Along this line of trusting ALLAH rather than weapons, is the following relevant reality. Not only did just the Messiah ominously warn that those who lived by weapons would die by weapons. But also, when the sincere servant of ALLAH, King Daoud (David), disobeyed God by becoming preoccupied with the number of fighting men that he had at his service, King David was severely punished for his preoccupation with military strength.

Tragic Biblical History

Two points are exceptionally relevant about this tragic piece of Biblical History regarding King David’s grave sin and his even graver punishment. First, it was Satin (Sheetaan) who was given the blame for inspiring the King to trust in military might instead of trusting ALLAH’s Sovereignty. Second, it was not King David himself who received the punishment but it was thousands of the men in David’s Kingdom who paid with their lives for the King’s trust in military might. Oh, how relevant this message is to the arrogant leader of the U.S. about the future he is preparing for the young service people who are usually not the children of the Wealthy American ruling class like Bush and his cohorts..

Back to the consultant the three leaders chose. What seemed to receive the highest priority in his life was his commitment to sincere, spontaneous prayer. In fact, it seems to have been one of this gentleman’s sincere, spontaneous, uninhibited, unexpected prayers for Egypt and its leader, that initially brought this man and President Sadat into a personal friendship.

(This gentleman had just finished an interview with President Sadat for one of the major TV net works. As they were putting away the TV equipment, suddenly the unexpected occurred. This spontaneous man, without requesting anyone’s permission, suddenly burst into animated prayer for both president Sadat and for Egypt. Later, President SADAT said that he had never felt more in the presence of ALLAH than when this gentleperson was praying for him.)

Those who come to know this servant soon understand that he believes that ALLAH many times works out His Will through convenants of the heart between those who are seeking a common goal of pleasing Him. Consequently, due in large part to his influence, one of the first things the three world leaders agreed to was a type of covenant. They covenanted together that they would each do their best to put aside their respective nationalistic tendencies. None of them would strive to manipulate the others to agree to what would appear most favorable in press reports to their supporters in their home countries. Instead, there was only ONE to whom they were ultimately responsible and whom they would all strive to please. Yes, they decided that if they pleased their ALLAH/GOD they would be doing what was right to lay the necessary foundation stone which would one day lead to peace throughout the region.

A Sincere Covenant

This was the substance of their sincere covenant. It was ALLAH that they would individually and collectively strive to please and not so much the people they each represented. On the foundation of this covenant with ALLAH and with each other, these leaders of nations hammered out a historic peace agreement between Egypt and Israel. They each were from very different monotheistic religions. Nevertheless, with ALLAH’s help they experienced success.

For many complicated but explainable reasons, the one courageous man who had initiated this whole peace process and who had paid the greatest sacrifice to make it happen, suffered more than the others for committing his own nation to the agreement. It was not just people from his own nation that contributed to his own isolation, but his whole country paid a price with the majority of the remainder of the Arab world.

A Courageous Muslim

President Anwar Sadat’s dramatic and surprise visit to Jerusalem laid a foundation for peace in the Middle East which is still waiting for others to successfully build upon. So those arrogant self-appointed experts on U.S. TV who so quickly and inappropriately malign Muslims for a lack of progress toward peace in the Middle East are urged to reflect on this often overlooked reality.

It was one courageous Muslim and not a Christian or a Jew who both initiated the present march toward peace in the Middle East and who suffered the most for the peace agreement which the three world leaders mutually reached. (Especially, Christians Franklin Graham, Jerry Fallwell and Pat Robertson should take note of this neglected reality about this leadership by a courageous Muslim.) For obeying his intellect, his conscience, and what he understood to be the Will of ALLAH, President Anwar Sadat experienced broad Arab ostracism that continued until the day of his assassination and continued against his country even after his death. Yes, in a few short years after the peace agreement, the vision this man had for peace in the Middle East cost him his life. (I also will remind the arrogant media clown on Fox news who audaciously called President Carter “despicable,” of a reality that he should consider. Neither he, nor his idol, G.W. Bush, are worthy to clean the shoes of former President Carter who considered even handed negotiation with a Muslim partner a more helpful and honorable activity than 1. threatening, 2. minimizing constructive diplomatic contacts, 3. humiliating, 4. prematurely canceling inspections, 5. despicably ordering his well oiled military machine to Rush to Crush Iraqi human beings, who, as the Scriptures teach, are created in God’s very image.) Fortunately this man has a news partner who is capable of thinking.

At this point, I will add a subjective personal experience which occurred to me on the day of President Anwar Sadat’s death. I will acknowledge that this surprise spiritual experience could have been precipitated by my own orientation and perspective. Yet, I was convinced at the moment of the experience and remain convinced now, approximately twenty years later, of this reality. The very Spirit of ALLAH gave me two verses form the Prophet Isaiah which applied to ALLAH’s perspective of the violent murder of President Anwar Sadat.

The Murder by Jews of their Own Courageous Prophet Isaiah

Many respected scholars suggest that there was more than one author of the book of Isaiah. Nevertheless, before I quote two verses from the Prophet Isaiah, I will refer to what tradition has to say about the violent death of this brave Prophet, whose writing I will quote. Because of his faithfulness to ALLAH, it is said that he paid a horrible, excruciatingly painful price for his scorching denunciations of the deplorable policies and sinful activities of his own fellow Jews.

In order to make an example of this fearless Prophet of ALLAH, so that others would not dare follow his courageous leadership, this is what tradition states regarding his execution. By the orders of the leaders, of Jerusalem, he was cruelly filleted.

Filleted Like a Fish

Filleted is a term used by cooks especially when they are preparing fish. (Fillet is not even in my Oxford dictionary as a verb.) The process is to split the fish down to its backbone so that both sides may be equally exposed to the fire for cooking. So the living Prophet Isaiah, while fully alive, was cruelly murdered by being split down the middle and spread apart. This was done by God’s supposed chosen people as a ghastly warning for Jews not to criticize official government policy. His gruesome filleted body was displayed to the people of Jerusalem by one of the main gates to the city. By looking at the faithful Prophet’s mutilated body, each person entering or leaving the city understood the city official’s clear message.

“Follow our rules and speak only our patriotic line or we will split you open like we did to this disobedient Prophet”

Possibly the victim dies fairly quickly from the shock of the filleting process. But, when others see the split body, the message is exceptionally clear. Do not criticize official government policy or you will pay the same horrible consequence.

It is significant that the method of execution known as crucification which was later employed by the Romans to execute those who challenged their rules, had a similar political agenda behind it. When the people observed the person experiencing excruciating pain on the cross, they know that if they too choose not to obey the government agenda, a similar fate awaited them.

Blind Patriotism Replaces Rational Morality

It is appropriate to note that often times in the U.S., both the process of filleting and the process of crucifying is still figuratively used to enforce strict adherence to official government policy. For instance, the two former Democratic Presidents previously mentioned, are both being figuratively ripped open (filleted) these days by the consevate Media such as FOX News. Especially is this true of much of the media’s treatment of former President Jimmy Carter. Supposedly the troops in Iraq are fighting to preserve Democratic rights such as free speech. Yet, when former President Carter exercises his right to free speech in order to constructively criticize destructive presidential policy he is called on international TV. one of the strongest non-swear words in the English language, “despicable.” In fact, it is emphasized by many that blind patriotism should replace rational morality. This is the clear message of the popular statement: "We must all support our President’s policies, whether they are right or wrong?” What happens to conscience and obedience to God during this plague of blind patriotism? So an elder statement like the venerable Robert Byrd who had for years faithfully served his country, gets ripped apart by a young FOX news big mouth, for Senator Byrd’s voicing his sincere concern on the senate floor regarding the future of our nation due to our President’s myopic policies.

He voiced his deep apprehension for how ill conceived policies would jeopardize our future relations with other respected nations. The way this administration is flaunting our disdain for the need of international cooperation and proudly displaying our willingness to not abide by international legal standards, he saw as a sure recipe for future disaster.

The Prophet Isaiah 50:1,2

It is also ironic that former President Bill Clinton has done more to compensate for his “INTERNgate” fiasco by constructively exposing some of the destructiveness of presidential policy, than he did by his frantic attempts to manipulate Yasser Arafat into an unjust Middle East Peace.

We will now consider the statement made by the murdered Prophet of ALLAH which I inadvertently read immediately after I heard of the assassination of President Sadat. Even as I was reading it, I was experiencing a strong impression that I was given these two verses in order to send them in a telegram to the Egyptian President’s widow.

Isaiah 50:1,2. “The righteous perish and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.   Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.”

The Future Successful Peace Agreement

Who knows where a successful peace agreement will be reached? Only ALLAH knows. But very likely it will not be at Camp David.

Who knows when a successful peace agreement will be reached? Only ALLAH knows. But it will most likely not happen until after they heavy handed, pro Israeli President Bush has been uprooted form office.

Who knows who will be the negotiators at the peace negotiations which will finally be successful? Only ALLAH knows. But I am convinced in my heart that negotiations will not be successful unless the participants extend a very sincere invitation to the Pure Spirit of the Living ALLAH to be present in order to provide His Guidance.

Will it be necessary to invite a neutral spiritual consultant who will help with something like a guiding covenant? Perhaps. Perhaps it should be the previous consultant even though he is now quite elderly. Perhaps it should be the experienced Jimmy Carter even though he now has many powerful enemies due to his unwillingness to violate his sensitive conscience. But the one thing we do know is this.

For a future peace agreement between Palestinians and Israelis to be successful, one invited guest will need to be present. The very same Pure Spirit which invaded the pure Maryam and brought a faultless baby to grow inside her Pure Womb, will need to be present at the peace conference. For if ALLAH’s Pure Spirit is not present, the best efforts of the most brilliant men are doomed to failure.

Light will finally triumph.

“The Light shines in the darkness and the darkness will not overcome it.” John 1

In order for there to truly be peace between Palestinians and Israelis, sincere prayer must be a primary key. Regretfully, due to the Bush Administration’s desire to reshape the Middle East and to flaunt U.S. disdain for the constraints of international cooperation and international law, a grave new danger like a menacing storm cloud hovers over our fragile world. So this prayer sent to me by a very concerned high ranking Arab official in Kuwait is exceptionally relevant for us.
