ALLAH Warns, America Through Four Horrible Tragedies. Each of These Tragedies Appear to Contain Relevant Warnings From ALLAH Himself to the Bush Administration.
The Bush Administration’s insistence on using inflammatory, demeaning rhetoric in a potential aggressive war context has created the ingredients for additional pyrotechnic disasters both in the U.S. and abroad. In retrospect it is difficult to comprehend the series of gross lapses in judgement which caused the fiery deaths of ninety-eight innocent victims in a Rhode Island nightclub. Additionally, it is now thought that much less blatant misjudgments could have led to the fiery deaths of seven brave astronauts aboard their spaceship, Columbia. However, neither of these preventable disasters seem to have been perceived as a sober warning by the power intoxicated U.S. Defense Minister, or by our heedless president or by any of the “yes persons” in his administration. This reckless group’s stubborn insistence an using inflammatory insults against all world leaders who refuse to dance by their dangerous tune, has created a highly combustionable circumstance; a circumstance which is virtually certain to bring additional pyrotechnic catastrophes to our nation and to our world. It appears that though at lest four recent high profiles tragedies should have vividly warned all of us of impending tragedy, our leaders stick their oily fingers into their already deaf ears and tightly close their eyes to any relevant reality which does not fit their second Iraqi War agenda. Four Tragedies The following contains a quick review of four high profile tragedies which have already visited our nation in the first two months of this year. Significantly, there is a conspicuous common thread bonding each tragedy to the other tragedies. This is in addition to the fact that they occurred in rapid succession in or over the U.S. That very relevant common bond concerns how each tragedy with the possible exception of the space ship disaster, could easily have been preventable if caution had not been pushed aside in favor of getting immediate results. I in each case, the solution become much worse than the problem. These tragedies were all distributed throughout the U.S., so that they are quite representative of our entire nation. I have made brief comments on how from my perspective, each tragedy has within it an implicit warning to the Bush Administration to either slow down in their rush to war, or be prepared for some very sobering unexpected but now preventable consequences. Preventable Tragedy #1. Seven brave astronauts were suddenly and violently killed in the Space Ship Columbia. · This tragedy may have been prevented if highly skilled engineers would have taken more seriously certain warning signs of impending disaster. · The lack of heed to warning signs which could have possibly prevented the seven deaths have definite implications for the heedless Bush Administration’s disregard for potential tragic consequences which do not ft into their next regime change scenario. · The tragedy occurred over the Southwestern U.S. Preventable Tragedy # 2. Twenty-one innocent night clubbers were crushed and/or suffocated in a popular nightclub. · This catastrophic tragedy could easily have been prevented if a security person or persons had had more reasonable responses to what their tunnel vision minds labeled as a dangerous threat. In order to stop a crowd from gathering to watch two women fight, their unwise decision led to the violent deaths of 21 innocent victims. Their chosen solution was infinitely worse than the problem they supposedly were trying to solve. · The apparent stupid choice by a person or persons responsible for the security of a nightclub led to these unnecessary violent deaths. · The fatal choice to over react to a perceived threat has ominous parallels to the present frantic approach of the Bush administration. It seems to them to be no big deal to potentially sacrifice tens of thousands of other people’s lives in order to supposedly eliminate an unproven threat. · This tragedy occurred in the Central U.S. Preventable Tragedy # 3. One innocent young foreign female child died as a result of her parents trusting brilliant, caring Duke University Doctors to perform a risky organ transplant. However, the child’s tragic death was not related to the inherent risks of a complicated transplant operation. Instead, her death was due to a false assumption made by the skillful surgeons regarding the most basic part of the procedure; matching the blood types. · This tragic lack of focus on the basics, led to a totally avoidable tragedy for one very much-loved foreign child, and her beloved family. This one wrong assumption by brilliant caring people has ominous parallels to the potential of highly trained, but myopic U.S. officials to cause the deaths of thousands of loved, innocent foreign children because of their own wrong assumptions. But these disengenuous U.S. officials have not yet proven that they possess brilliance or that they truly care about anything but their own agenda. · This preventable tragedy occurred in the South Central U.S. Preventable Tragedy # 4. Ninety-eight innocent night clubbers were violently incinerated and more were scarred for life due to a horrible choice to use pyrotechnics in an obviously combustible situation. A small amount of common sense would have caused decision-makers to realize that safety for human life always has priority over excessive or inappropriate entertainment. · These needless deaths caused by inappropriate entertainment has ominous implications for a power hungry defense minister who appears to consider his own inappropriate jokes and biting cynicism to be more important than sober judgement regarding decisions which directly affect the lives of hundreds of thousands of precious human beings. But the most difficult perspective for powerful persons to maintain, especially if they have control of the most powerful military industrial complex in the history of the world, is to realize that common sense is vastly more important than power. · This fiery tragedy which needlessly destroyed the lives of nearly one hundred young people, took place in the most Northeastern state in the United States. Until Mr. Bush and Mr. Rumsfield will acknowledge that MIGHT does not make RIGHT, even without the Osama Bin Ladens, the Saddam Husseins and the Ariel Sharron’s of the world, we will continue to live on an exceptionally dangerous planet. But, if news annalist, Dan Rather, quoted Vice President Cheney correctly, the trusting parents of U.S. servicemen are being blatantly misled. They are not going to be welcome to Iraq with dancing sweets, and flowers but there will be every conceivable threat on their lives both during the invasion and especially during the potential long occupation. The latest U.S. attempt to guarantee that there is a bloody war with Iraq does demonstrate that our nation has some understanding of the psychology of the Arab leadership of Iraq. By demanding that the entire upper levels of Iraqi leadership must leave Iraq in addition to all illegal weapons being destroyed as pre conditions to prevent the U.S. from bringing massive destruction to their nation, guarantees that the Iraqi leaders will not allow the U.S. to humiliate them in this way. There is no way that Iraq will comply with this humiliating U.S. demand that all the Iraqi leadership seek refuge outside of Iraq, they definitely consider death as preferable to this kind of blatant humiliation. But this humiliating demand also exponentially increases the hate against the U.S. by many more than Iraqi Arabs. Such a demeaning demand certainly did not surprise Osama Bin Laden. He already assumes that the U.S. wants to disgrace all Arabs and especially Muslims to the maximum extent. But this new openness to acknowledge how desperate our nation is to demean and coerce the entire world into playing by our rules, virtually guarantees that recruitment for Al Qaeda will become much easier. · The entire world knows that Might does not make Right. · The U.N. knows that Might does not make Right. · ALLAH emphatically teaches that Might does not make Right. · But George W. Bush, Donald Rumsfield and their cohorts are still convinced that Might is Right. · Oh, how painful will be the lesson which finally changes their collective small mind. ALLAH’S Warning I personally am convinced these four preventable, in rapid succession, tragedies, are merciful warnings from ALLAH that our nation must slow down or face tragic consequences. However, not for one second am I suggesting that ALLAH caused these tragedies to occur in order to warn the U.S. not to invade Iraq. Each of these tragedies occurred when supposedly responsible persons acted with disproportionate haste and bad judgment without any manipulation from ALLAH. Therefore, ALLAH’S Mercy demands that the U.S. take these tragedies as SEVERE WARNINGS and not rush into an ill advised, unproved attack on Iraq. Is the U.S. Administration too deaf too hear or too blind to see? We will soon know! I will include in this discussion a personal note. Some may think that I am against my country because I am so critical of it in my writing. To the contrary, my own heartaches with feelings of betrayal I observe my country receiving from misguided leaders who themselves mostly avoided the military service. M parents raised three boys. All of us served in the military during combinations of the Second World War and the Korean War in the Navy and the Marines. In contrast, it is my understanding that out of all the congress’s mothers and fathers and of all the senators, there is a grand total of one child in the military representing those hundred s of families who lead our country. Yet, there were three children in the military representing our small family. This is just one small indication of how unfamiliar most of our current leaders are with the ravages of war. In this regard it might be helpful for the American media to visit once again the lengths that our Defense secretary, Dick Cheney and our present President and former president went to avoid service in the U.S. military. It is my understanding that if previous leaders of our nation had made an earlier decision to have positive diplomatic relations with China there is an exceptionally strong chance that China would have put appropriate pressure on Vietnam and the whole Vietnam War would have been avoided. So one whole deadly and costly war would have not if former U.S. leaders had chosen to be so snobbish diplomatically toward China. Think of the horrible suffering and death that would have been avoided for the Vietnamese the Cambodians, the Laotians the Americans and others if U.S. leaders had not been so self righteous and arrogant and would have chosen different diplomatic options with the great nation whose great trade potential we are now desperately trying to tap into. In my mind, five (5) is the number that most appropriately represents Islam. The Muslims pray five times per day. There are five pillars of Islam. Also, there are five pillars of faith within Islam. Therefore, if U.S. officials elect to attack Iraq, it could very well be the fifth preventable tragedy that has shaken the foundation of the U.S. in the early part of this year. And the fifth tragedy to shake the U.S. would be our perhaps not! Number tragedy, the significant. Perhaps only a coincidence. But the question is: Will U.S. leaders, withal of the raw power they have at their disposal, choose to make another horrible diplomatic mistake like they made with China. That preventable mistake resulted in the spilling of rivers of innocent blood? Do we need more rivers of blood in order to restrain us or must we face a horrible tragic truth? We will never learn even though ALLAH mercifully allows us to receive ominous warnings. If we do not need the warnings, shedding the innocent blood of our own people and the blood of others will very likely become our both our hallmark and our down fall in our relation with all other nations, which we must have to maintain any leadership role in the world at all. Of course, it is totally legitimate to object to even the implication that a major U.S. policy decision be based on what may be a coincidence regarding numbers. However, this objection does not deal with the reality that four high profile tragedies with exceptionally relevant implications to the present decision being made regarding an exceptionally dangerous invasion of Iraq. Though the timing of these four relevant tragedies may also be total coincidences, that they also may be ominous warnings by a God who cares about the welfare of all human beings, whether they be Iraqis or Americans. And He certainly in not going to trust future leadership in his world to an irrational monster. Due to American’s propensity to trust the decisions made by a democratically elected president, there is a strong possibility that the U.S. public has been subtly manipulated to accept a greater break with realism than the foregoing coincidence regarding the number five. It may shock many to realize that the administration’s plans to bring democracy to “post Hussein Iraq,” peace to the Palestinian conflict, and democracy to other Middle East nations, is based on a policy labeled by many of the top thinkers as “Magical realism, Middle East-style.” Magical realism is based on a combination of the scholarly but idealistic thoughts of a charismatic Iraqi dissident in exile by the name of Kanan Makiya and numerous highly influential Pentagon Hawks. The thinking goes that “Iraqis have suffered so much that the only alternative is democracy.” As Jessica T. Mathews, president of the Carnegie Endowment adds, “As soon as you say it, you realize there is a mile between the beginning and the end of that sentence.” To the backers of magical realism, the status-quo caution toward the sick, dangerous Middle East is contemptible, almost unbearable. Danielle Pletka, vice president of the America Enterprise Institute states in it defense: “You have to start somewhere. There are always a million excuses not to something like this.” The twisted thinking of magical realism is that “If we have the will and imagination, we can strike one great blow at terrorism, tyranny, under development and the region’s hardest, saddest problem.” To magical realism, it is a lack of positive thinking to give serious consideration to such hard realities as the vast difference in agendas of the variety of the competing factions that may well attempt to undermine and even sabotage democratic nation building in Iraq. To these unrealistic optimists it is more counter productive thinking to consider the realities that respected Yale economist William D. Nordhavs finds regarding the cost of occupying, and Iraq. He states that all these costs including the impact on oil markets and the economy could run as high as Two Trillion Dollars. Because two trillion is so easy to say, think of how many billion and how many million that is. Of course, this dollar figure does not consider the tragic human cost for both the Iraqis and the Americans in terms of the children, fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters etc. who will be violent killed and wounded in Iraq. And of course it is considered negative thinking to consider the reality that for hundreds of Iraqis and a multitude of other Muslims and Christians representing multitudinous factions, their very reason for being will be to figure out ways to kill the foreign forces illegally occupying Iraq. So an optimistic policy of magical realism to bring Democracy to Iraq and the Middle East may sound credible when spoken by a neat, smooth talking administration official. Nevertheless, magical realism has a hundred more chances of failure than it does for success. But to give new age cult, a fair chance, perhaps those horrible odds will prevail in convincing our leaders to go ahead and gamble the lives of other people’s children and the very future of our nation to prove that a faith in magic, and not a faith in ALLAH’S principles, should determine our nation’s future. back to "My Earlier Stirrings" page
