The President's Plan
Saddam has the chemicals.
He’ll soon have the bomb.
Oh, what must we do
To put Saddam on?
There is a tiny nation,
Its name is Kuwait.
That oil rich sheikdom
Will be our bait.
The American people;
They don't want to fight.
We will trick them
To use our might.
When they hear Kuwait was attacked
By troops who were crazed,
Public opinion will change
In a matter of days.
But, if the whole Middle East
Were to enter the war,
That tragic reality
I would abhor.
We must keep Israel
From the attack.
That vulnerable nation
Must agree to hold back.
Though this scenario
Will cause thousands to die,
Few rich Americans
And not you or I
Yes. Iraq's
President will realize
He's not that strong.
In his heart he'll know
We'll punish his wrong.
So we must be clever
To catch him unaware.
He must hear the message
That we don't care.
Say, o representatives
Of our Department of State
"We have no plans
To defend Kuwait "
We'll claim we sternly warned
Iraq to keep from fighting
But, we just plain forgot
To put our warning into writing.
We shall deliver
Kuwait on a platter
When we've convinced Iraq
Its attack doesn't matter.
Concerning our treachery,
There is a final omen;
For deceiving Hussein,
We will blame a woman.
We will be certain
He has taken our bait,
When his troops and tanks
Surround Kuwait
Then. should we warn them
Not to invade?
No! We will claim
It is all a charade.
It is only right
That Saddam be stilled.
Even though thousands
Of human beings are killed.
Once he's in Kuwait.
Will he be there to stay?
When faced with humiliation.
He cannot walk away.
We'll tell our public
A very different story.
They will believe.
The fight's for Old Glory.
They will think
We are punishing sin.
That it's not money or oil.
Then they’ll give in.
But why do we truly
Want our troops over there?
To guard oil and money
For our banking system care.
New Eurodollars
For Arab monies do beckon
Were the U.S. to lose them
With a dark day we would reckon.
If the Kuwaitis and the Saudis
Were to pull their money out.
Economic chaos would follow
With very little doubt.
On deficit financing
We have come to depend,
We think if we lose it,
That will be the end.
So we must fight
For our economy's salvation.
But we'll tell the world.
It is for Kuwait's liberation.
Thus. a bloody war
Is our decision.
Even though human life
Will be held in derision.
Because its leader, Hussein.
Will do so much evil.
We're right to exploit Iraq.
To a degree that is lethal.
What will we do
When our people get wise?
Will they always continue
To believe our guise?
We’ll shift the focus
On to Saddam Hussein.
We'll say his stupidity
Deserves all the blame.
With plausible deniability
As our theme.
No power on earth
Will expose our scheme.
Will they finally realize
This whole matter is odd?
Not when we convince them,
On our side is God.
Of course, God teaches us
To avoid such strife
But, of what true value
Is an Arab life?
Into immorality
Have we now crossed over?
Yes. but it's justified
To bring the New World Order
The human cost will be worth it.
I don’t mean maybe
Except for the slaughtered and the maimed.
And a small Kurdish baby.
For permitting Kuwait's invasion
We will never pay,
Since we'll cleverly scapegoat
My own CIA
This agency I once led
Will never confess guilt.
It will blame Arab leaders
For all the blood split.
But I fear the ALMIGHTY
Will have the last say,
For the guilty no escape
On the dreadful judgment Day.
