Precious WomenSarah’s Ugly Abuse of Abram’s Wife, Hagar“and she (Sarah) said to Abraham, “Get rid of that slave woman and her son, for that slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with my son Isaac.” Genesis 21:10. This flagrant, racist statement may be the most negative, hostile statement recorded in the Old or New Testament Scriptures. Yet, this unchallenged statement was spoken by the wife of the highly respected founder of Monotheism, “The Prophet Abraham.” Regretfully, this horrible statement has set a racist tone that has continued for centuries. Unarguably, this one concise statement has greatly influenced the negative view that so many in the West and in Israel even today have toward Arabs and especially toward Arab Muslims. It cannot be denied that the negative ripples set in motion by this one racist, hostile out burst are seriously impacting the desperate Arab Palestinians uphill struggle for justice with their want-to-be Israeli slave masters. The sad irony of the situation is this. Though this one statement has had such a horrible negative ripple effect for generations, it has seldom been challenged or spoken against by either Christian or Jewish religious leaders. However, I am not in a position to know if the Imams and other Islamic religious leaders have isolated this comment by Abraham’s first wife and subjected it to intense scrutiny. Although it is recorded in the Scriptures that God assured the Prophet Abraham that his son Ishmael would live and father a great nation, his first wife did not give any credibility to this holy promise by ALLAH, when she hostilely kicked both the mother, Hagar and her son, Ishmael out of their home to most probably die an agonizing death in the cruel, unrelenting desert. And Sarah’s insisting that both Hagar and her son were virtual, valueless slaves to be treated as human excrement, should be considered by all Jews as a shame on their race and heritage. You can bet that Abraham and Sarah, when they had made promises in Egypt to the young girl’s parents about the treatment that she would receive from them, if she traveled with them as Sarah’s maidservant, had never hinted that they would consider her a slave. This wicked betrayal of Hagar, her son, her mother, her father, and the leaders of Egypt, is certainly a shameful stain on the entire history of Israel. This human betrayal ranks right up there with the horrible kidnapping of innocent, Japanese by the mad man leader of North Korea so he could use the kidnapped innocent Japanese as teachers to teach Korean’s the Japanese language. This wicked betrayal could also be compared with some examples of the human tragedy brought about by the American slave culture. But this horrible treatment of Hagar by her mistress Sarah with the complicity of the respected Patriarch Abraham, does not begin to represent ALLAH’s positive attitude toward Hagar and her son Ishmael. Nor does it begin to reflect the wonderful respect with which a variety of other foreign women were treated in the Scriptures. The horrible treatment of Hagar by Sarah does not at all represent the compassion shown by ALLAH’s Messiah to non Jewish women or his tremendous compassion and respect toward all the women he encountered as portrayed in the Gospels/Injeel. A Fresh Perspective of HagarWe will now visit this one severely psychologically abused, courageous Arab woman as portrayed in the first book of the Old Testament Torah. This vulnerable young woman endured a desperate struggle with penetrating loneliness, compounded by persistent psychological abuse. In her tent home there was a minimum of refuge from the abusive jealousy of the de facto ruler of her household environment, Abraham’s childless first wife, Sarah. Consequently, the courageous Hagar should be honored by all those with a familiarity with the Genesis Scriptures. Tragically, the reality is the opposite. Instead of being honored, she is consistently maligned by most of those readers of Genesis who are not Muslim. Of course, as far as Islam is concerned, she is greatly honored as she became the mother of the Prophet Ishmael who is also highly honored in Islam. At least partially, because a persistent theme in the Old Testament is the ultimate triumph of the Jewish people and not the triumph of the Arab people, both the suffering as well as the victories of non Jewish people in the Old Testament are consistently minimized by Westerners. I personally was exposed to an exceptionally unpleasant example of this phenomenon in the early 1990’s. I had ordered a set of Bible story videos so that I could show them to my grand children. But when I viewed the video about the two sons of the Prophet Abraham, who were Ishmael and Isaac, I was absolutely shocked at how negatively and unsympathetically both Hagar and her son Ishmael were portrayed. Consequently, I immediately decided that no grand child of mine would ever be allowed to view such a racist video. It shamefully exaggerated the rather normal teasing of an older brother of a younger brother which the Scriptures present as having occurred in the Abraham/Sarah household. Shockingly the video portrayed both mother Hagar and her son Ishmael as each having made unsuccessful attempts to murder the toddler Isaac who was Ishmael’s much younger half brother. Though this was an extreme corruption of the true teaching of the Scripture, I was severely chastised when I called the producers of the video for my daring to imply that their portrayal of the Arab Hagar and her mixed son Ishmael were not faithful to the teaching of the Genesis Scriptures. The company representative ruthlessly scolded me for having the audacity to dare to question what many reliable theologians had allegedly told them was an accurate portrayal of what the Scriptures revealed as occurring in Abraham’s household. The Radical ContradictionIn retrospect, this extreme manipulation of the Scriptures in order to promote radical racism toward Arabs should not have caught me by surprise. A couple of years earlier I had been invited to speak through an Arabic interpreter at the Nazareth Baptist Church. I chose to speak about this courageous second wife of the Prophet Abraham. Though she was the Prophet’s second wife, for approximately twelve years Hagar was the mother of Abraham’s only son. I sensed a strong leading from God’s Spirit to speak about this courageous woman in order to attempt to address a contradiction that I felt that I was observing in the general Middle Eastern Christian community. Whereas, the clear emphasis of the New Testament Scriptures is that the crucified but Risen Messiah is GOD’s gift to all of humanity, a not so subtle resistance to that teaching not only exists among Middle Eastern Muslims but also appears to be quite strong among Middle Eastern Christians. One Amman Christian lawyer proudly shared with me his convictions which seemed all too typical. He stated: “Jesus belongs to us Christians and Muhammad belongs to the Muslims. We don’t want their Muhammad and we do not want them to want our Jesus. And we don’t want them to have our Jesus.” Of course, this perspective is not prevalent among all Middle Eastern Christians. Nevertheless, there is truth to the view that a majority of Middle Eastern Christians seem to be comfortable with the statues quo of how Muslims presently view ALLAH’s Messiah. They much prefer that Muslims continue to believe that there was no death and no resurrection of the Messiah so that Jesus as Savior continues to be the sole and private possession of the Christians. Yet, this particular Christian, Tom Griffith, is absolutely convinced that the compelling love of ALLAH’s only Risen Messiah, will finally compel significant numbers of Muslims to radically modify their current position of rejecting the victorious Messiah’s death and resurrection. Therefore, they will finally recognize that ALLAH’s Mighty man from Bethlehem is indeed ALLAH’s Risen Messiah for all people everywhere and for the people of all religions. Consequently,
when I spoke to the Christians at the Though I was speaking through an Arabic interpreter, I sensed that the Nazareth Arabic speaking Christians were quite open to my message of inclusion rather than exclusion. However, I was quickly disappointed by the response of my friend, the American Christian leader who had graciously arranged for me to speak. He explained that He was quite disappointed that I would use Sarah’s stern exclusion of Hagar as an example of the hurtfulness of exclusion because he was certain that Abraham was totally out of ALLAH’s Will for taking a second wife. Thus, he reasoned that due to Abraham’s alleged disobedience, any hurt that the Arab Hagar experienced did not deserve to be treated as a teaching example about the constructiveness of inclusion as opposed to the potential destructiveness of exclusion. However, when I attempted to demonstrate that GOD seemed to approve of other respected men such as King David and the Prophet Jacob enjoying His blessing while having more than one wife, he silently ended our discussion. (Of course, I soon realized that the main reason that Jacob and David’s additional wives are acceptable to Western Christians while Abraham’s second wife was quite objectionable is that Abraham’s second wife was Arab while the other men’s second wives were all Hebrew. So it appears that Hebrew second wives are quite acceptable but to have an Arab second wife is quite sinful. ALLAH’s Compassion Toward The Abused HagarThough I consider it obvious that the young Egyptian Hagar consistently endured extreme hardship in her being the relatively despised foreigner in the Abraham household, I have encountered very few Westerners who do not have much more sympathy for her boss, Sarah, rather than having sympathy for the lonely, younger, more vulnerable, Hagar. Nevertheless, though the writers of the Old Testament consistently had a distinctly Hebrew bias, this bias did not begin to hide the Almighty’s definite compassion for the abused Arab Hagar as is faithfully revealed in the Scriptures. Thus, since ALLAH Himself had such great compassion for this young, lonely lady from Egypt, it is absolutely wrong for either the Jewish or the Christian community to stifle what should be normal sympathy that any human being should have for another suffering human being who was being persecuted like Hagar was being persecuted by Sarah. The Theophany PhenomenonA technical term that theologians use to describe an appearance of the Messiah before he entered the world as a baby, may aid us in appreciating the extraordinary concern that ALLAH Himself had for the isolated young Egyptian woman who became the mother of the Prophet Abraham’s first child, Ishmael. Many centuries after Ishmael entered this world from Hagar’s womb, ALLAH’s Messiah was being challenged by some Israeli religious leaders regarding the source of his authority. He virtually shocked them out of their pantaloons when his reply to their questions informed them that he was absolutely convinced that he had lived during the people of Abraham’s time. He not only said that Abraham was glad to see his day, but he also said: “Before Abraham was, I am.”But who did ALLAH choose, out of both men and women in the entire Old Testament, to experience encouraging personal encounters with His Messiah before His Messiah again entered this world as a baby in Bethlehem? It was the often despised and many times persecuted second wife of Abraham, the lowly personal attendant of his over bearing wife Sarah to whom ALLAH twice chose to give this unique, unparalleled honor. So it was to the Arab Hagar that the Messiah had two times appeared in a vivid theophany and not to the Hebrew Sarah. What was it that ALLAH observed occurring to this young woman that compelled him to take such a personal interest in her welfare? He saw a vulnerable young woman who at a tender young age, had been ripped away from her personal support system, her own family. But, did she then receive the emotional support she so desperately needed in her new alien environment, the kind of support her own mother, her father and her brothers and sisters would have provided her? (Yet, it must be asked, would a truly nurturing mother have consented to her young daughter being permanently taken away by virtual strangers to a land hundreds of miles away, never to return?) No, she did not receive the emotional support any young isolated woman deserves. Instead, Abraham’s wife Sarah became the vulnerable Hagar’s over bearing and calloused mistress, if not her virtual slave master, which is what Sarah later acknowledged. Yet, a serious dilemma faced her mistress Sarah which would forever affect the destiny of this young woman and uniquely impact the entire world and especially the Middle East. Because her ageing mistress could not become pregnant, she and Abraham made a decision regarding the young Hagar that undoubtedly the isolated Hagar had absolutely no choice about. However, if she had a choice she probably would have chosen to bear the mighty, respected Abraham’s children, thinking that having his children would most certainly elevate her status and gain her more respectful treatment. (It is often assumed that the plan was for Hagar to only bear a son for Abraham. However, this is not what Sarah had in mind as is emphatically stated in the Genesis account.) Sarah’s emphatic words to her husband Abraham were: “The Lord has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my maidservant; perhaps I can build a family through her.” Genesis 16:2 (So the intention was not just one child but an entire family.) But the Scriptures also reveal that as George Bush experienced unintended consequence in seeking to exploit the Arab people of Iraq for his own selfish agenda, Sarah experienced unintended consequences when she attempted to exploit one young Arab woman for her own selfish agenda. As it should not have been any surprise to President George W. Bush that the Arab people of Iraq did not all compliantly agree with what ever their self appointed slave master told them to do, it should have been no surprise to Sarah that her virtual slave, Hagar, did not remain compliant when she discovered herself to be pregnant with their shared husband’s child. Yet, it was exceptionally normal that she would respond to her pregnancy by giving a not so subtle reminder to the woman who had uprooted her from her parents and who had been ordering her around for several years, that it was now herself, the person who had been in the low position, who had become pregnant with Abraham’s child. So the implied if not direct message from Hagar to Sarah was: “Sarah, I am now pregnant with Abraham’s baby and you’re not. So you better realize that there is at least a small role reversal now as far as who is important and who is not important. So if you know what is good for you, you had better back off from bossing me around.” Of course, such a response by a person of supposed inferior status was not the acceptable response toward a person of supposed superior status. But this formerly exploited, powerless young woman sensed that her pregnancy presented her with a unique opportunity to escape her position of being the rug in the Abraham household on which Sarah assumed that she had the right to walk and even to wipe her feet. There are three major indications that Sarah harshly responded to Hagar’s new found confidence and understandable partial arrogance. When she complained to her husband about Hagar’s newly acquired bad attitude, Abraham made no attempt whatsoever to mediate the situation or to modify Hagar’s bad attitude. Rather, according to what the Scriptures state, even though Hagar’s former vulnerability had increased due to her pregnancy, Abraham showed her absolutely no compassion. Rather, he vividly demonstrated that his virtually neurotic fear of being criticized by his wife for not immediately giving her everything she wanted was much greater than his desire to protect his pregnant second wife from being physically and psychologically abused. So he gave Sarah a blank check to treat Hagar as harshly as she desired, despite Hagar’s vulnerable condition. If Hagar did not have tremendous feelings of discouragement and disillusionment because of the cruel way she was being ganged up upon by the gang of two, Abraham and Sarah, she was not a normal human being. It was obviously a decision that was not easy for the abused Hagar to risk her life and the life of her fetus by running away from the security of the home she shared with the wealthy Abraham and Sarah. To head out into the harsh desert where she and her unborn faced probable death from starvation and dehydration was a horrible risk. Yet, so great was her personal anguish under Sarah’s intense, unrelenting abuse that the pregnant Hagar was quite prepared to die under the cruel glare of the brutal desert sun than to be psychologically roasted each day by the bitter tongue of her cruel mistress Sarah. 3. When the “Angel of the Lord” (a title of honor for the Messiah during his pre-existence) encountered the suffering Hagar in the desert, he tenderly assured her that ALLAH was well aware of the misery she was experiencing which was a result of the attitude and actions of her mistress Sarah. Think of it! The ALLAH of the entire Universe, had sent his personal message by way of the one whom the Scriptures call the “Angel of the Lord” to one miserable, isolated, pregnant young woman who had run away to be alone in the barren desert. And what was His message. “The Lord has heard of your misery.” The word misery is not a light or superficial word. According to Webster’s dictionary it means, “great emotional distress.” In fact, the pre-incarnated Messiah Isa/Jesus explained to her that so significant was it that ALLAH had heard of her horrible misery, that she was to name her new born child “God Hears” which is what Ishmael literally means. So her son would always have a name which symbolized that GOD had heard about her personal misery that she had endured at the cruel hands of Sarah. For any person who may suggest that I have exaggerated the misery that Hagar experienced due to Sarah and Abraham’s attitudes and actions, my reply is that the person’s grievance is not with me but with both GOD and with His Scriptures. For would God have instructed Hagar to name her son a name memorializing the fact that God both heard of her misery that she endured at the hands of this Hebrew couple, but that He also took it very seriously, if her misery was not quite real? According to Genesis 16:6, Sarah treated Hagar so cruelly that to psychologically survive, she fled from her. According to the same verse, Abraham almost sadistically gave his wife Sarah a totally blank check or unconditional permission to treat Hagar as cruelly as she wanted to treat her even though she was both vulnerable and pregnant. “Your servant (Hagar) is in your hands,” Abram said. “Do with her whatever you think best.” Then Sarai mistreated Hagar; so she fled from her. (Genesis 6:16) But the wonderful reality that all women everywhere should take comfort from is this. Though it was the one man who was so important that he is recognized as the founder of monotheism who gave his wife total permission to severely abuse a vulnerable, pregnant young Arab woman, it was the Almighty ALLAH who intervened in the horrible misery that this calloused man caused. Not only did GOD intervene in the misery caused to one supposedly insignificant young Arab woman, but He did another amazing thing. This second action on His part further reveals that the integrity of GOD’s character is in stark contrast to the flaws in the characters of even His most significant servants. That is, it was GOD who ordered that Hagar’s son be named a name which was to be a vivid reminder to all future generations that GOD exposed the moral flaws of one of history’s most important persons when that person crossed a moral line. When he became complicit in the immoral treatment of one of the weakest of the weak; a pregnant, isolated, lonely, young Arab woman, GOD prominently and publicly exposed the sin of that man by the name GOD gave that great man’s first son. If the name “Ishmael/GOD Hears” (when the miserable cry out regarding injustice), does not put a stern scare into U.S. leaders and serve as an ominous warning regarding their own considerable complicity concerning Israel’s contemporary brutal mistreatment of Palestinians, it must be that U.S. leaders are simply too calloused to have a fear of GOD.) It may be legitimately asked, if Hagar indeed were suffering such incredible misery at the hands of Sarah with the full permission of Abraham, why was she instructed by the Messiah to return to the tent-home where she had endured such incredible persecution. Part of the answer was that after she received comfort from the Messiah, Hagar became a stronger person. There can be no question that having had such a dynamic supernatural experience from receiving such personal encouragement from the very Angel of the Lord, would considerably bolster a young woman’s confidence. Another circumstance must also have had a moderating influence on the way that Abraham allowed his wife, Sarah, to treat her handmaid, Hagar. Since Abraham himself had had several encounters with GOD where he had received important messages regarding his own future, of course he would be compelled to take seriously Hagar’s account to both himself and to his wife Sarah of her own personal encounter with GOD’s messenger. Also, before Hagar had probably done things which annoyed Sarah in order to hopefully earn respect. But now, because of receiving strong instructions to submit to her mistress from a source whom she could respect, Hagar’s new conciliatory spirit probably caused Sarah to treat her in a much less harsh way than she had in the past, at least temporarily. Nevertheless, as Sarah viewed Abraham day after day emotionally bonding with the boy Ishmael, whom Abraham had fathered, it must have been indeed difficult for Sarah to not allow her old resentment toward Hagar to return. This would also now include a new resentment toward the boy, Ishmael, whom she had probably very little relationship with and virtually no authority over. A vivid demonstration of the obvious close relationship that existed between Abraham and his first son Ishmael burst into the open when GOD was revealing to Abraham that he was going to have a second son, this time through Sarah. From the depth of his heart, the Prophet Abraham cried out to God, “If only Ishmael might live under your blessing.” After Isaac was born and Sarah was faced with the reality that her son Isaac might be forced to share some of the blessing and future inheritance with Hagar’s son, the tension grew to a boiling point. Then, what should have been a minor incident of an older brother not wanting his younger brother to get all of the attention, caused the explosive Sarah to blow sky high like the eruption of a massive volcano. At a feast in the honor of Isaac being weaned, Sarah saw the young, early teen age son of Hagar mocking his much younger half brother, Isaac. So she laid down the before mentioned angry ultimatum to her husband Abraham who always seemed to cave into her strong will. “Get rid of that slave woman and her son for that slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with my son, Isaac.” This virtual death sentence command from General Sarah given to Private Abraham to carry out, vividly revealed the hostile feelings of the arrogant Sarah toward a woman whom she considered vastly inferior to herself. Regarding the young, pregnant, isolated woman who had had the amazing honor of already having had one personal conversation with the Angel of the ALLAH of the Universe, she considered her no more than an inferior slave. In contrast, ALLAH considered her to be an exceptionally valuable human being, so He decided to have His Messiah speak to her again. The ugly orders by Sarah to kick out Hagar and her son, distressed Abraham greatly because it concerned his beloved son. He knew that without God’s compassionate intervention, the unrelenting desert sun would mean certain death to both Hagar and Ishmael. However, this horrible reality seemed to make no difference to the compassionless Sarah. Yet, ALLAH had Himself assured the Prophet Abraham that because Ishmael was Abraham’s son, Ishmael would be made into a nation. So no time was wasted. Early the next morning after the cruel ultimatum, Abraham sent both Hagar and Ishmael to wander in the desert of Beersheba with only a skin of water and some food. But as Ishmael was lying under a bush, thirsty and crying, GOD literally heard the desperate crying of Hagar’s son and greatly comforted this despised woman with a wonderful promise. “Lift the boy up and take him by the hand for I will make him into a great nation.” Yes, though both Hagar and her son Ishmael had been despised by the wife of the great Prophet Abraham, they were both valued and sustained by the ALMIGHTY. More Honored Foreign WomenA significant reality in the Scriptures that many fail to realize is this. That though both the Old and New Testament Scriptures have exclusively Jewish authors, there is something these authors deserve much credit for. They do not hesitate to reveal that it is non Jewish men and women to whom God often gives special honor and recognition. Though this paper is mainly about women, I will mention one particular instance when the Jeremiah Scriptures reveal a blatant lack of moral conviction by every Jewish male living in Jerusalem at the time Jeremiah was imprisoned in a well. So ALLAH was forced to turn to a non Jew when not even one courageous Jew could be found in the entire city who had strong convictions against ALLAH’s Prophet Jeremiah being left to die in an abandoned well. Fortunately there was one man who had the moral courage to convince the reigning King to rescue ALLAH’s valued Prophet from his prison-well before he died. A palace employee from Ethiopia, was ALLAH’s choice. Now we will consider several precious non Jewish women in addition to Hagar, who were featured in the Scriptures for either being used by ALLAH in extraordinary ways or who were healed or helped by His overwhelming compassion. The Amazing Woman From MoabKing David or [Malek Daoud] was a King that all other Kings of Israel were measured against. Even though the Scriptures are quite blunt in acknowledging David’s sins and mistakes, there was always one major compensating factor. He consistently had a heart that pleased GOD. Perhaps I personally am overemphasizing the following positive influence in David’s life, but I personally do not believe that I am. I am convinced that the great-grandmother of King David, the amazing loyal woman from Moab, Ruth, left the imprint of a loyal personality on her family. So that exceptional personality characteristic was brought by this exceptionally high quality woman from Moab and this positive trait was purposely introduced by ALLAH into those grand parents and parents of the young man David. Therefore, he became a King who was not only exceptionally loyal to ALLAH, but who was also extremely loyal to his people. But what was
it that the Jewish Scriptures emphasized which revealed that this amazing woman
from Moab
personified this wonderful quality of loyalty? It was her absolute,
unwavering loyalty to her deceased husband’s, mother, who was her foreign
mother-in-law. This woman Naomi, from Israel
had lost both her sons as well as her husband to early deaths in the foreign land of So to assure her mother-in-law how unwavering and complete her loyalty to her would be, she expressed the memorable and often quoted promise of: “Where you go I will go. And where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your GOD, my GOD.” Yet, this tender story of persevering loyalty and compassion did not end there. When they reached Naomi’s home land, the clever and ever grateful mother-in-law, with the obvious assistance of the MERCIFUL, arranged an amazing set of circumstances for her to marry a wonderful new husband and to finally start a family. Significantly, that family included a son, Jesse, who was the grand-father of the loyal and God-honoring King David. This tender story of love and loyalty of a young Moabite woman for her foreign mother-in-law could have easily been omitted from the predominantly Jewish Scriptures. But our Loving GOD takes His responsibility for these Scriptures very seriously. So He made certain that the great love and loyalty of this one Moabite woman named Ruth toward her deserving, foreign mother-in-law would continue to be an example and an inspiration to women everywhere. A Precious Caananite Mother The male disciples of the compassionate man from Bethlehem were quite annoyed that a particular foreign woman was hounding them about seeking healing for her demon possessed daughter. In their focused minds, their undisturbed time with their undisturbed Messiah deserved a much higher priority than any mental health problem that this non Jewish woman was having with her own teenage daughter. Fortunately for both the mother and her daughter, ALLAH’s Messiah had much more concern for the problem of human suffering than that possessed by any of his twelve hand-picked Jewish disciples. They unanimously urged him to reject her and to callously send her away. In stark contrast to their exclusivism, the Messiah was aware that he was being compelled by the Holy Spirit of ALLAH to respond to the desperation in her voice and the great faith in her heart. So in response to her pleas, he compassionately healed the precious foreign mother’s grieving heart as he healed her precious daughter’s demon harassed soul. Even beyond the healing that the distraught mother had so strongly desired, the tender Messiah gave her another gift that would forever nourish her walk with GOD. In front of his own often partially calloused disciples, he personally commended this foreign woman for having great faith. The Precious-Childless Samaritan Woman In the minds of the Jews of the Messiah’s time, the Samaritans were a useless, inferior bunch. Their religion was not only mixed up, but they honored the wrong ancestors and worshipped in the wrong place. Despite all of this overt racism and tension, the Messiah had directed his disciples to take a short-cut through Samaria on their way to Jerusalem. But, while his twelve friends were away trying to locate a fast-food restaurant so they could satisfy their hunger, the man from Bethlehem was doing something that was generally forbidden for supposedly superior Jews to do. He was politely asking a Samaritan woman for a drink of water since she was at that very moment drawing some water from the public well. So startled was this woman that a Jew would treat her with respect instead of as a disrespected Samaritan woman, that she quickly questioned him. She wondered why he was treating her as if she were a normal person rather than as an inferior Samaritan. As the conversation continued to flow back and forth, she determined that he was a Prophet and tried to then give their conversation a religious spin. What had tipped the woman off that the man with whom she was talking was most likely a Prophet was this. Without him having any prior knowledge about her, he told her that not only had she had five previous husbands, but that the man with whom she was presently living was not her husband. But even though Jesus/Isa knew that she now realized that he was a Prophet with super natural powers, he also knew that she had deep personal needs of the heart that a superficial discussion about abstract religion was not going to satisfy. In fact, so personally satisfying to her were the truths that he told her about himself and how to truly worship GOD that she went into the city and convinced many men of the city to also come out to the well. She insisted that they also have dialogue with this man who had overwhelmingly convinced her that he was indeed ALLAH’s long awaited Messiah. So convinced were the men that what this previously rejected woman said was true, that they talked him into staying three more days with them as their honored guest. Why do I say that she had been repeatedly rejected? Because the most plausible explanation of why she had experienced five divorces was because in that male dominated society, not providing a child for the husband and especially a son, was a common reason for a rejection/divorce. But a wonderful circumstance was arranged by ALLAH for that often rejected woman. Not only was she a despised foreign Samaritan woman who was now being treated with great respect by a Jewish male. She also became the honored woman who ALLAH specifically chose to introduce the men of her Samaritan city to their Messiah. Though rejected by men, she was specially chosen by ALLAH to be a precious envoy. A Precious Widow in Sidon Is it not amazing that it was a foreign widow from Sidon whom ALLAH chose to save from certain starvation when there were many Israeli widows in that same condition that Elijah the Prophet was not led by GOD to save? Perhaps, however, it is even more amazing that centuries later. His anointed Messiah used the account of this same widow’s deliverance to help him combat an attitude of evil racism existing in his home synagogue in his home town of Nazareth. Yes, so enraged did the Messiah make his audience by his sharing with them two shocking examples from the Old Testament that the people of the synagogue attempted to murder him by throwing him off a cliff. The Messiah had reminded them in his home synagogue presentation that both the Prophet Elijah and his successor Elisha were both led to help non Jewish people, a Sidonese potentially starving widow, and a leperous but hated Syrian military officer. But shockingly, the two Prophets had not similarly helped Israelis, though may of them had similar needs. The racism that the widow was helping the Messiah expose enters into the equation this way. The very fact that when the Messiah chose two examples of foreigners being included in GOD’s gracious gifts of life and healing when Israelis were not chosen, enraged the people so much that they decided to attempt to murder the man who was reminding them of these two factual events that they preferred to ignore. This event reveals how deeply they cherished their racially supremist views. With this degree of racism infecting his home synagogue, the Messiah gave the wonderful honor of helping him expose these evil views to this little known, supposedly insignificant foreign widow. The Humble Yemeni Queen Who Will Be an Eternal Judge of Israel Though she was the Queen of Sheba or of Yemen as we speak of Sheba today, she was quite aware of the limitations of her knowledge. So when she heard of the splendor of a kingdom far to the North and of the wisdom of its King, her servants loaded her camels with gifts and she headed North to see for herself. In an amazing contrast to this important woman’s desire to learn, were the stubborn know-it-all Israeli leaders being encountered on a daily basis by ALLAH’s Messiah. Being vividly aware of the two contrasting attitudes, the Messiah sensed a major opportunity to high-light a future unpleasant reality. This humble, truth-seeking woman from Yemen would be called upon by ALLAH to rise up at the Last Judgment. It would be this woman of integrity who traveled hundreds of miles on the back of a camel in order to seek truth from King Solomon, who will be trusted by ALLAH to judge the intellectually incompetent men of Israel. For they had a person with much greater than Solomon right on their doorstep and they arrogantly rejected him. And as a star witness against the evil and stupidity of that rejection, the Queen of the South will be present to see that they pay an eternal price. One Roman Wife Challenges the Roman Empire Many
intellectually limited husbands climb to positions of prestige and authority
while it is their wives who actually possess wisdom and integrity. This was
certainly the situation with the man who the mighty Emperor Caesar had sent to
be the Roman Governor of Israel.
Yes, day after day the Roman governor Pilate met with the leaders of But both day and night his much wiser wife considered the more important realities of what is truly truth and what is actually justice? And she came to the conclusion that what her husband decided were truth and justice were not necessarily truth and justice. She also courageously decided that what her Emperor, the mighty Roman Caesar, decided were truth and justice were not actually true truth or genuine justice. So she had no difficulty deciding that what the Jewish religious leaders were presenting by their hypocritical lives to be compassion, love and justice were actually none of the above. Quite early in the morning of the crucifixion, her husband had left their home in order to deal with potentially violent unrest occurring in Jerusalem. His wife remained in bed and tossed and turned as her wildly dreaming mind focused on a horrible scene which her sensitive conscience could not tolerate. She saw her very own husband sentencing a battered and bruised man to be crucified. From that moment forward, she could not clear her mind of one repetitive thought. She must send a message to her often amoral husband to warn him. He must not allow himself to be manipulated by cruel Israeli leaders to become involved in the unjust death of this innocent man. When her
message reached the Praetorium, also referred to as the Palace
of Justice or in mocking, as the Palace of “Don’t have any thing to do with that just man. For I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him.” He thought to himself, “If only things were as simple as my overly sensitive wife would like them to be.” But as the chief priests and elders persuaded the crowd to demand that Jesus be crucified, he became aware that he had to yield to their demand or risk the wrath of Caesar for allowing a riot. But he tried his best to have it both ways. He went through a symbolic ritual of washing his hands in front of the crowd and loudly declaring, “I am innocent of this man’s blood.” But instead of releasing Jesus which he had the authority to do, he ordered that Jesus be flogged/whipped and then handed over to be crucified. Though Pilate never again had a peaceful night’s rest where he did not regret his decision, Mrs. Pilate always knew that she had done all that she could to deliver an innocent man. She had challenged the awful might of the Roman Empire. And in a real sense she had won because now his blood was partially on the hands of the Roman Empire whether her governor-husband would admit it or not. Another Precious Mother-In-LawThe out-spoken Peter had attempted to protect the Messiah by cutting off the ear of one of those sent to arrest his Messiah. But despite his often impulsive character, he loved his wife’s mother. So when she became ill with a high fever, he knew what he had to do. He arranged for Jesus/Isa to visit their home. When the Messiah visited their home and saw the mother ill with fever, he only touched her hand. With that one compassionate touch, the fever immediately departed from her body. Then she did what so many mother-in-laws do. She took care of her guests needs. A Bent Over Lady Straightened By Love On The Wrong Day It was a starving foreign lady from Sidon who helped the Messiah teach the people of Nazareth about the evils of racism. And it was a precious, suffering woman who had been bent over for eighteen years who helped the Messiah teach a ruler of a synagogue that his religion was as corrupt as a polluted swamp. This strange synagogue ruler had the calloused mind set that it was better to let a woman who was bent over for eighteen years remain that way than for Jesus to heal her on the Sabbath day, when no work was to be done. (This synagogue ruler’s calloused attitude toward human suffering reminds you of the attitude of certain religious police in Saudi Arabia. They allowed girls to burn to death in a school fire rather than to allow them to escape from the fire in their burning school without their heads being covered.) But Jesus/Isa had no tolerance for ridiculous religious rules that increase people’s suffering. So with great love and compassion he released this poor suffering woman on the Sabbath Day from the bondage to being bent over. Thus, she and her Messiah taught the cruel synagogue ruler an unforgettable lesson. It’s right to do good even if the good is done on the wrong day. A Precious, Courageous Widow Teaches The Twelve Disciples To Keep PrayingIt is amazing how often the Bethlehem man turned to vulnerable widows to help him teach men valuable lessons. And there was nothing more important than the value of persistent prayer. He explained that there was a widow who was being totally denied justice by a godless, calloused male judge who cared absolutely nothing about justice. But that courageous widow made up her mind that her persistence would be stronger than the judge’s irresponsibility and callousness. So this widow wore the Judge out with her persistence so that he finally gave her justice. So the Messiah pointed out that if persistence won the battle with a stubborn, godless Judge, persistence will most certainly pay off with a Loving, Compassionate, Merciful GOD. So that persistent widow has taught us that we all must pray and pray and then pray some more. A Precious Weeping WidowIt is an especially sad event when a relatively young woman loses her husband through death. But then, when that same widow also loses her relatively young, only son through a premature death, the widow’s emotional anguish is overwhelming. Yes, this is the very situation that the compassionate Messiah encountered outside the town of Nain. So when he saw her, knew her situation, and saw her tears, he simply said: “Don’t cry.” With that, he touched the coffin and said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!” “The dead man sat up and began to talk and Jesus gave him back to his mother.” So the people who witnessed this amazing response to a widow’s anguish, responded just as we would expect. They said: “A great Prophet has appeared among us. GOD has come to help His people.” A Precious, Desperate Bleeding Lady Day after day, year after year, this sick woman continued to bleed. All the money she had saved had now gone to doctors but still the bleeding continued. Then she heard of Jesus and later she saw him. But a crowd had already gathered around him and she was far too weak to push people out of the way. She said to herself, “There is no need for me to engage him in conversation. If I can only touch the edge of his garment, I will be healed. And she was able to touch the edge of his garment and she was immediately healed of what no doctors had been able to heal.” But the Messiah was not a mechanical, impersonal dispenser of healing. Though many persons had been touching him and though she had only touched the hem of his garment, she had felt the wonderful healing take place in her body and he had sensed the healing leave his body. So even though the healing had occurred and though the woman was forever healed of her infirmity, the very personal Messiah wanted a personal relationship to occur. So he kept questioning those around him about who had touched him until she came forward. Then he listened carefully to every personal detail of her story. Compassionately, he spoke these endearing words to her for her to cherish forever. “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.” The Joyful Housekeeper Helps JesusIt was very important to Jesus to help people leave behind sinful life styles and turn to wholesome, ALLAH pleasing life styles. In fact, so important is it to GOD that even one person makes this transition from sin to righteousness that Jesus taught that there is a virtual celebration of angels in GOD’s presence, whenever such a wonderful change takes place. So the Messiah wanted to plant a memorable, visual image in the minds of the self righteous Pharisees about how important to GOD that it is for people who are involved in sin, to change. For the Pharisees truly were not cooperating with GOD in trying to convince any sinners to change. As far as the Pharisees were concerned, sinners are bad people and GOD is not interested in motivating bad people to change. So where did the Messiah turn for help in providing an example about what true rejoicing truly is when a sinner changes? He turned to a hilariously happy woman who was not at all comfortable with losing a very valuable silver coin, just as GOD is not comfortable in losing a very valuable sinner. So when she loses only one of her ten valuable coins, she goes on a house cleaning rampage. She maximizes the light in the house and sweeps everywhere. Then, when she finally finds the coin, she expends just as much energy celebrating as she expended in order to find it. But the final point that the Messiah made out of the happy celebration, was this. GOD and His Angels truly celebrate when they observe supposedly bad people change their ways which they often do when compassionate persons are open to providing them with the help they need. The Adulterous Woman Minus The Adulterous ManThough it takes both a man and a woman to commit adultery, that is not the way a male dominated society would have us see it. Although it is totally wrong for a woman to commit adultery, it is just as totally wrong for a man to commit adultery. With this thought firmly in our minds that it takes both a man and a woman for adultery to occur, let us now transport our minds to the temple courtyard in Jerusalem at the time of ALLAH’s Messiah. Many people are gathered around him listening to him teach. Suddenly there is a loud commotion. A number of Jewish Pharisees and Scribes are sort of pushing and shoving a partly clothed woman who appears extremely afraid. They keep pushing her until she is standing in the middle of everyone with every eye in the crowd looking at her and wondering what is happening. Then one of the more dignified religious leaders clarifies what the problem is. They all want to expose the Messiah as a sort of fake religious leader who is weak on law and justice. The leader states loudly enough for everyone to hear. “Teacher, this woman (where is the man?) was caught in the act of adultery. In the law Moses commanded us to stone such women. (And not such men?) Now what do you say?” Very possibly the Messiah then wrote with his finger in the dust the names of some of the Scribes and Pharisees in the crowd who had also committed adultery. Then he said: “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” After each and every man had walked away, the woman was still standing there. Then the Messiah arose from his place on the ground and compassionately asked the terrified woman. “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, Sir,” was her reply. Then ALLAH’s Messiah declared: “Neither do I condemn you. Go now and leave your life of sin.” You see, our sinless Messiah made it quite clear to this one woman and to everyone else, that he had come to heal and save and not to condemn. But he was not reluctant to expose self-righteousness and hypocrisy and to expose hardened callousness, parading as true religion. A Poor Widow Gives More Than The RichThe Messiah did not see things as man sees them. Rather, he observed what was occurring in a person’s heart. So when the rich made a big deal about giving large gifts in the temple treasury to be seen by everyone, the Messiah was very unimpressed. However, when he saw a very poor widow putting two very small coins into the same treasury, he was extremely impressed. So he explained his observation to his listeners. “I am telling you the truth. This poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” So once again, ALLAH’s wise Messiah turns to a poor widow to help him teach our world an eternal lesson. The M and M SistersThe Bethlehem man had multitudes whom he helped. However, he also had special intimate friends. The M and M sisters along with their brother Lazarus were as dear to him as friends could be. When the Messiah heard that Lazarus was ill, he was concerned. Then, when he had heard that he had died, he had an even deeper concern. With Lazarus gone, the vulnerable Mary and Martha were now on their own with no male in their home. Yet, at the time that the Messiah had first heard about the illness of his dear friend Lazarus, he had told his disciples that the sickness would not end in death. But now, before they returned to Lazarus’ home in Bethany, the Messiah was telling his disciples that Lazarus had died. The two statements apparently definitely contradicted each other. The disciples were first told that he would not die. Then only two days later it was the Messiah himself who made a definite statement that Lazarus was now dead. What was going on? This is what was occurring. There were a number of metaphors or symbols which the Messiah used regarding himself to help people understand the purposes which ALLAH had given him to fulfill. He had spoken of himself as “The Bread of Life,” “The Light of the World,” “The Good Shepherd,” “The Way” “The Truth” and “The Life.” But now, ALLAH had revealed to him that it was to the two wonderful M and M sisters, Mary and Martha that he was to reveal himself as “The Resurrection.” And how was this to come about? The Messiah and his followers were to return to the very region where the Jews had recently attempted to stone him. In that very region of Judea in the city of Bethany, he would “resurrect” his good friend, the brother of the two beloved sisters. Even though Lazarus had been dead for four days, because Jesus/Isa was indeed “The Resurrection” he would be given authority from ALLAH to call Lazarus back from total death to total life. Yet, in any circumstance involving the Messiah, the circumstances are not stiff, mechanical and automatic. Although Jesus knew in his head and in his heart that in a few minutes, the power of ALLAH would enable him to bring a dead friend back to life, as he stood by that cold tomb and saw the grieving friends of the family, he entered into their emotion, into their grief and into their love. He wept. Yes, he wept. But after weeping, he prayed. And after praying he demonstrated that ALLAH had enabled him to be “The Resurrection.” He called Lazarus out of his tomb; alive. That glorious day in Bethany there were two main responses by those who had witnessed this amazing demonstration of ALLAH’s Love, ALLAH’s Power and ALLAH’s Compassion. Many, on that very day put their faith in the man who had revealed himself to be “ALLAH’s Resurrection.” Quite regretfully, also on that day at the tomb of Lazarus, another circumstance occurred that must bring deep sorrow to ALLAH. There were those who while witnessing the glorious power of ALLAH, resented that open display of power and love. So certain men had this deep need to try to kill and stamp out what they could not control or understand. So there were those who witnessed this great miracle of love and life who had a perverse need to be important by trying to assist the rigid, religious authorities to kill Jesus. (It actually may be helpful for each of us to ask ourselves which group we would have been in that day. After seeing Lazarus walk out of the tomb alive after obeying the command of Jesus to come out of the tomb, would we have trusted the man whom ALLAH anointed to give life? Or, would we have maliciously reported him to the religious authorities so that they could have more evidence against him so that they would have an excuse to plan to kill him?) Where Wealthy Women’s Wealth WentSeldom is it considered who was paying the expenses of twelve men traveling with their Messiah for over two years. Their expenses were not paid for by any woman wishing to support any particular man in the group. Rather, it was because of wonderful qualities in these men’s leader which inspired each woman to enthusiastically desire to support this traveling band of men. Who were these women who so gladly gave of their savings? Each was a woman whose heart and mind had been captured by a profound purity that she had never before encountered. Several had been healed of evil spirits and other infirmities. One was Mary Magdaline out of whom the Messiah was reported to have cast out seven harmful spirits. Then there was a woman of high status named Joanna who was the wife of King Herod’s personal steward. Also, there was Susanna and a number of other unnamed women. Without their generous support, there would have been no male band of men to carry on the teaching and healing of the man who after he rose from death, he victoriously left this earth to be in the presence of ALLAH. A Relevant Story About the Prophet MuhammadA friend from Dubai shared with me this answer that he had heard that the Prophet Muhammad had given when a young man had asked him this question: “Who is more important to me, my mother or my father?” The Prophet replied, “Your mother, your mother, your mother and then your father.” Whether the Prophet actually said these exact words, I do not know. But I do know that ALLAH’s now Risen Messiah also had and now has a tenderness for mothers and a deep appreciation for their leadership in this world that few people realize. His Care For His Own Precious Mother As the Messiah was dying on the cross he was experiencing excruciating physical pain. Yet, he was also enduring another pain that was beyond the physical. It was the pain of knowing he would no longer be on this earth to personally care for his own now aging mother when she might need him. Despite what the worthy of respect Catholic Church teaches, his mother had brought into the world other children after Jesus/Isa. However, especially his brothers, up to that time had been skeptical and even cynical about him supposedly having a special calling from GOD to serve Him. Even though the Messiah was enduring horrible suffering on the cross, he looked lovingly into the eyes of his mother who was standing near. He yearned for her to be in the care of a person who would understand her belief in him and would not ridicule her sincere belief like his own calloused brothers had. Then, as he also looked at his beloved friend John, these very important words were spoken by Jesus/Isa: “Dear Woman, here is your son.” To John he then said, “Here is your mother.” From that time on John took her into his home. There he gave her the care that she deserved and also the understanding the Messiah so deeply desired for her to have. (Significantly, it was John himself who wrote this personal account of the Messiah making certain that he would be the person to care for his aging mother.) Poured-Out PerfumeThere is a vivid example in John 12 of Lazarus’ sister Mary, demonstrating that a woman knew in her heart what was right, while a man used his head to cover up the wrong motives of his own heart. Mary instinctively knew that Jesus/Isa would soon be executed by envious Jewish leaders. So she took some of her own expensive perfume and poured it all out on Jesus’ feet and even wiped his perfumed feet with her own hair. But the disciple Judas who was a thief and who would later be the person who would choose to betray the compassionate Messiah to the unjust religious leadership, pretended to care about the needs of the poor. But he actually cared only about stealing the money that the perfume could have been sold for, for himself. The selfish Judas had the audacity to severely castigate the caring Mary for anointing the Messiah for his future burial. So it was once again a time for the Messiah to graciously allow a woman to be a shining example of this important spiritual dimension that was occurring. Yes, the majority of the men did not have a hint of how GOD’s love was being revealed. Thus, the Messiah pointed out that this one woman had captured the essence of love and commitment. It may have been this woman’s perfume that was poured out, but it was actually her life that was poured out for her Messiah. Compassionate Wailing WomenIn 1974, just outside the main entrance to the American University Hospital in Beirut Lebanon, I had a unique experience. Two compassionate older Muslim women dressed entirely in black, wailed for me as they were entering the hospital and I was leaving. Even though I was 41 at the time, because of the terrible swelling in my face and my eyes being almost swollen shut, I looked as though I was at least a ninety year old man who had been badly beaten up. (At that time I did not yet know what was causing the hives and the swelling. I later found out that a tiny rock in some lentils I had bitten down on hard, caused a root in my tooth to become badly infected so that it spread infection throughout my entire body.) The spontaneous compassion of those two sympathetic women when they saw my disfigured face, has always remained an encouraging memory to me. It was not in Beirut, but in a narrow Jerusalem street where compassionate Jewish women mourned and wailed for their truly battered and bruised Messiah. These women were unable to hold their emotions inside themselves as their shocked eyes beheld this cruelly tortured man struggling to carry his own heavy wooden cross to his place of execution. Instead of only appreciating their loud voices expressing their heart felt sympathy for the horrible injustice happening to him, the tender heart of ALLAH’s Messiah went out to them. This was because of the horrendous future he knew that especially their children faced when Jerusalem would be destroyed by the Romans. So he felt compelled to tell them in a concise manner certain realities about what would soon occur to them and to their children. “Do not weep for me, O Daughters of Jerusalem, but weep for yourselves and for your children,” he said to them with compassion. Then he added, “For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the barren women and the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’” Then he added that they (the men who were the root cause of all this tragedy) will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!” What was the meaning of this concise lesson that the suffering Messiah was teaching to the women who wailed for him as he was stumbling along in their narrow Jerusalem street towards his own illegal execution? He was explaining that a terrible future price would be paid especially by the mothers and children of Jerusalem. It would be paid because of the horrible crime being committed by the male leaders of Jerusalem for both rejecting and then murdering the Messiah who ALLAH had compassionately sent to them. He also revealed that the male leaders who were responsible for the horrible crime against ALLAH’s Messiah, will be so traumatized by the punishment facing them that they will panic. So terrified will they be at what will happen as punishment to each of them that they will hysterically beg for the mountains and the hills to fall on them and to cover them from the awful wrath that they are facing. Significantly, there are some terribly serious lessons here for today’s women of Islam who are the vulnerable and innocent victims of today’s present male leaders of Islam who are also rejecting ALLAH’s Messiah similar to how the Jewish male leaders rejected him at the time he first visited the Middle East. For the present day Muslim male leaders reject the death and resurrection of the Messiah on the basis of their stubborn and unintelligent insistence on being technical rather than wise. Their rigid, simplistic interpretation of only one verse in the Holy Quran, is also putting in horrible danger all of the women and children of Islam. Realisticly, it also sets the male Islamic leaders up for potential horrible future eternal judgment. It is exceptionally relevant to ask this question. To whom did the suffering Messiah express his concerns regarding future consequences for Jewish women and children? Also, who did he inform about the imminent dreadful punishment in store for Jewish men and leaders because of these men rejecting and murdering ALLAH’s Messiah? The answer is that it was mainly the wailing women he informed regarding both circumstances. Why? Because the women cared about the future. They also cared about the injustice they observed being heaped upon Jesus, as he was forced to carry his own cross through the Jerusalem streets on the way to his own crucifixion. But the majority of especially the religious Jewish men cared not about the future of either their own women or their own children. What they did care about was protecting themselves from being ruled by a Just Messiah sent from ALLAH because injustice was what these religious Jewish leaders thrived upon. Similarly, why is it mainly Muslim women and not Muslim men that I am now appealing to regarding the tragedies that await Muslim women and their children if the male leadership of Islam does not stop rejecting and/or marginalizing ALLAH’s once crucified, but now Risen Messiah? Because it is the women and not the men who are compassionate enough and wise enough to care about the future of their children. But the stubborn men would much rather stubbornly stick to an obviously wrong interpretation of one verse in the Quran, than to look out for their own children’s future welfare. Since it is so obvious that women’s hearts are so much wiser than men’s heads, Islam is now dependent on women to straighten them out and save the Muslim men from Judgement. For the majority of the women of Islam are far too wise to allow men’s rigid minds to prevent women from realizing the full implications of certain historical realities. The Messiah who ALLAH sent into our world endured cruel torture and endured a horrible crucifixion but then victoriously rose from death. Yes, the majority of the women of Islam can acknowledge that these realities are True. A Precious Healed Girl From PakistanThis story is not from the Bible. Rather, it is what occurred near Lahore Pakistan in the 1960’s when ALLAH answered the loving prayers of a Godly Muslim father for his badly crippled daughter. (The full, wonderful account is contained in the small book, The Torn Veil, a CLC publication from P.O.B. 1449, Fort Washington, PA 19034, ph. 215 542 1249) In his dying words, the loving father of Gulshan Fatima cried out to her, “GOD is going to heal you.” Then, several years later, a quiet voice spoke directly to the crippled girl in her room after she had told GOD that she wanted to die because she had been so severely crippled since she was an infant. ‘I won’t let you die. I will keep you alive.’ “Then the voice came again, vibrant and low.” ‘Who gave eyes to the blind, and who made the sick whole and who healed the lepers and who raised the dead? I am Jesus, son of Mary. Read about me in the Quran, in the Sura Maryam.’ Then later after she obtained a Quran in her own Urdu language she read in the Sura ‘The Imrans.’ ‘By ALLAH’s leave I shall give sight to the blind man, heal the leper and raise the dead to life.’ As the days passed, each day she would pray many times per day: ‘O Jesus, Son of Maryam, heal me,’ Finally she prayed in desperation early one morning, “If you are able to, heal me – otherwise tell me.’ Suddenly her room filled with light, and 12 figures were standing there representing the 12 disciples and Jesus stood in their midst. Then Jesus spoke to her and said, ‘Get up. This is the path you have been seeking. I am Jesus, son of Mary, to whom you have been praying and now I am standing in front of you. You get up and come to me.’ After briefly debating with Jesus about not being able to walk because of being crippled for 13 years, she got up and walked and has continued to walk ever since. When Jesus put his hand on her head, light came through a hole in his hand down on her garments. He then gave her instructions about what she was to do to serve him and also taught her the LORD’s prayer and it stayed in her memory, though she had never heard it before. The book goes on to tell of many more miracles the Jesus of the Quran performed through her. A Jewish Feminist’s Visit From JesusThis amazing account is also not from the Bible. The above title is the exact title below her small picture which appeared on the cover of the Feb. 24, 06, The Week magazine. Coincidently, dominating that same cover are large cartoon caricatures of Pres. Bush with his V.P. Dick Cheney tightly hugging his shotgun. They are standing on the deck of a huge sinking ship named “Katrina.” The ship appears to actually be the Washington D.C. White House which is sinking. There is a look of absolute hopelessness on the President’s face while his body language speaks of total helplessness. The face of his Vice President exudes rage. He defiantly grips his shotgun as his blood-red hunting jacket and facial expression, depict a desperate, bloodthirsty man. Without necessarily intending to do so, this cover of the Week Magazine has masterfully captured a virtually perfect metaphor of what is occurring in our world today. The small side picture of the Israeli woman with the also small caption revealing the major supernatural miracle which occurred due to the mighty power of our Risen Messiah, can almost be missed. This is because our eye’s are preoccupied with the sinking symbol of the White House Ship of State with its two frantic, helpless clowns on its deck who have absolutely no clue as to how to keep their once mighty nation from sinking into the deep, dark waters of oblivion. Despite the huge picture of hopelessness that dominates the cover, in small print, similar to the quiet voice which centuries ago so emphatically whispered to ALLAH’s mighty Prophet Elijah, is the ALMIGHTY’s answer to the chaos. Because men have made such a chaotic mess of things, at this time it is to this one woman to whom ALLAH has chosen to emphatically reveal His Messiah who is ultimately His own answer to the frantic hopelessness of our gravely wounded world. Foolishly, despite His gift to us of His only Messiah, we continue to frantically place our hopes for our world’s future in the two clowns who are supposedly piloting the mighty U.S. Ship of State which is represented by the rapidly sinking White House. But our Mighty
ALLAH/GOD, virtually without being noticed, once again has revealed His answer
to a woman and not to a man. It is especially appropriate that at
this particular chaotic time that this one significant woman to whom He has
chosen to reveal His Messiah, be a Jewish woman of integrity and stature. For
there appears to be multiple indications that it is the male leaders
of the State of Israel
who have labored tirelessly behind the scenes in order to manipulate the For instance, if at this time ALLAH had chosen to reveal His Messiah to either an Israeli or American male leader such as the deceptive Benjamin Netanyahu or the untrustworthy George Bush, the entire revelation of the Risen Messiah would have been turned into a manipulative media circus. This media feeding frenzy then would have produced massive political overtones for Israel’s future negotiations with the Palestinians or for a future political victory for the Republicans, which would further insure Israeli dominance in the Mid East. Further confirming Israeli complicity in the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq, it is in the March 31, issue of the same magazine which carried the story of Jesus appearing to Naomi Wolf, The Week, in which two prominent American professors revealed the results of their relevant research on the main factors contributing to the U.S. invasion of Iraq. (Incidentally, the intellectual’s comedian, Bill Maher, succinctly describes The Week magazine as the magazine which “lets you fool people into thinking that you know everything.” Dr. Stephen
Walt of Harvard’s prestigious Kennedy Though every person over ten years old in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was already aware of Israel’s significant role in causing the U.S. invasion of Iraq with the significant exception of Jordan’s King and his advisors, these scholar’s official findings are still quite important. Since the present murderous chaos in Iraq is the major source of chaos and instability throughout in the Middle East, and since the predominantly male leadership of Israel is the major force behind the Iraq war, once again GOD has chosen to communicate uniquely with a certain woman of integrity in order to inspire other women to further serve Him regarding significant matters. Each chosen woman will go on to make a significant contribution, sometimes in actually being the main facilitator in solving a major problem. And especially is the Arab-Palestinian problem a major problem along with Israel’s blatant manipulation of the U.S. military establishment so that the U.S. military will continue to keep Israel as the dominant force in the Middle East. So once again GOD has potentially inspired a woman of integrity in the person of Naomi Wolf, to take leadership in picking up the pieces left behind by self-destructive and sometimes virtually sadistic Israeli men. As to be expected, though the 82 page, well documented research paper of these two scholars substantiated Israeli involvement in influencing, if not manipulating U.S. forces to invade and occupy Iraq, their paper has drawn bitter protests. Of course, the distinguished Jewish Harvard Law Professor, Allan Dershowitz, a major supporter of Israel, has felt obligated not only to denounce the findings of the two Professors, but also to label them both as “liars” and “bigots.” (The relevant question is, can anyone say anything critical of Israel without being bitterly denounced by this omniscient Professor?) Another heavy weight to join in mounting a desperate attack on the findings of the two professor/scholars, is the Editor-at-Large of U.S. News and World Report Magazine, and a frequent contributor to CNN, the usually respected, David Gergen. Mr. Gergen devoted a full page of the April 3, 06 edition of his U.S. News magazine to state his personal opinions as to why these men were wrong to even imply that Israel could have influenced the U.S. to invade Iraq, or to “bend U.S. foreign policy” so that it advances Israel’s interests. Mr. Gergen, are you actually saying that all those hundreds of Jewish lobbyists who are being paid so extravagantly to do that very thing of bending U.S. foreign policy so that it favors Israel, are total failures and are not earning the money they are being paid? Come on Mr. Gergen, get serious. Do you truly expect thinking people to believe your incredible, silly assertion that influence from Israel does not bend U.S. foreign policy? Returning to the Jewish feminist, Naomi Wolf, to whom the Risen Messiah recently chose to reveal himself. Her own words describing her super natural encounter with ALLAH’s own West Bank Bethlehem man were: (Incidentally, Naomi Wolf probably received her name “Naomi” in honor of the Godly mother-in-law of the Biblical Moabites Ruth, who herself became the great-grand mother of the famous and respected Israeli King David, who as a boy, courageously, with his sling shot, killed the giant, Goliath.) “It wasn’t this crazy theological thing. It was just this figure who was the most perfected human being--full of light and love. It was complete joy and happiness running down my face.” “When I came out of it I was absolutely horrified because I’m Jewish. This is not the thing I am supposed to have confront me. “It’s very embarrassing. We’re intellectuals, we’re on the left, we’re not supposed to talk like that. I don’t want to be co-opted as the poster-child for any religion or agenda. There are a lot of people out there just waiting for some little Jewish feminist to cross over.” Naomi Wolf. Think of the amazing power that the Risen Jesus has. He is able to use his power to short circuit the mind of that one particular person of his choice who had been totally resistant to him. Then he graphically reveals himself to that person in a vision to get her attention. Please contrast this Mighty power of the Risen Messiah with the absolute powerlessness of the clueless President Bush and his defiant, gun shooting partner in crime, Dick – “Remember to Duck,” Cheney. Yes, consistent with the warped perspective of this world, it is not from ALLAH’s Risen Messiah that we have expectations. Rather, it is the anemic, pretended “Dynamic Duo” from whom the world has misdirected expectations and who receive the recognition and get their super large pictures on the covers of many magazines. This is a major contrast to the six small words that referred to the amazing supernatural event easily accomplished by ALLAH’s Risen Man from West Bank Bethlehem. It seems obvious that the intelligent choice for Israeli Feminist Naomi Wolf is not to climb aboard a band-wagon with Evangelical Christians proclaiming “Look what happened to a former lost Jewish Lady.” Rather, the choice is: Are you and/or other women willing to stand alongside the Risen Bethlehem man? Will you and/or other women allow him to infuse you with his power in order to proclaim justice to the oppressed and freedom for the captives. For this is the high calling of our Lord. Women of Islam Arise!Arise, Oh Women of Islam! Please do not be afraid to fearlessly speak out against any person or persons who dare to claim: “ALLAH’s Risen Messiah is not honored in the Glorious Quran.”There are even some confused religious Christian persons who teach that Muslims should not even read Al Quran because they claim that in its pages the Risen Jesus is not honored. But it was the Risen Messiah himself who exposed such teaching to be a deceitful prevarication. For he, himself would not have emphatically instructed a Muslim teenage Pakistani girl as she lay partially paralyzed in her bed in the Punjab near Lahore, to read about him in the Quran in Sura Maryam if he were not honored in the Quran. The first precious words he whispered to her lonely, frightened mind a few months after her beloved father died were: “I won’t let you die. I will keep you alive. “Who gave eyes to the blind? Who made the sick, whole? Who healed the lepers? Who raised the dead? I am Jesus, son of Mary. Read about me in the Quran in the Sura Maryam.” So, on the basis of reading Sura Maryam over and over in both her Urdu Quran and in her Arabic Quran, Gulshan prayed again and again for months for “Jesus the Healer” to heal her. She did not pray these words on the basis of the teaching of the Bible for she had never seen or heard of the Bible other than from the Quran’s frequent mention of the previous Scriptures in its own pages. But her Godly Muslim father had promised her before he died that she would some day be healed so he instructed her to faithfully pray. Then, after her father’s sudden death and more months of earnest prayer, the Risen Jesus himself spoke to her from above. He explained about how he was the healer and explicitly instructed her to read about him in the Quran in Sura Maryam. So on the basis of her loving now deceased father having urged her to pray and on the basis of the Risen Jesus instructing her to read about him in the Quran, plus one other source, she prayed again and again for “Jesus the Healer,” to heal her. (The third encouraging impetus for her to pray came from a Christian specialist in England, Dr. David, who told the father after examining the 14 year old Gulshan, that no medical treatment could help her and that prayer was now the only resource for her. His sincere words to her father were: “There is no medicine for this – only prayer.”) Soon after beginning regular prayer to Jesus the healer, Gulshan became preoccupied with his words in the Quran’s Al Imran. “By ALLAH’s leave I shall give sight to the blind man, heal the leper, and raise the dead to life.” In her own words she described her thought process during this period. “For years I had read the Holy Quran devotedly and prayed regularly, but I had gradually lost all hope that my condition would change. Now, however, I began to believe that what was written about Jesus (in the Quran) was true – that he did miracles, was alive – and that he could heal me.” Her consistent prayer became: ‘Oh Jesus, son of Mary, it says in the Holy Quran that you have raised the dead and healed the lepers and done miracles. So heal me too.’ “As I prayed this prayer my hopes grew stronger. It was strange, because in years of praying I had never felt certain that I could be healed. I took my beads which I had brought from Mecca and prayed a Bismillah after each prayer, and then I added after each prayer, ‘Oh Jesus, Son of Maryam, heal me.” Think about the major, instantaneous miracle that finally occurred after Gulshan had endured nineteen long years of paralysis. For all of those years she had not used either leg because her whole left side was paralyzed, so both legs had atrophied from lack of use. Consider the skin that had literally turned black on her unused limbs. Listen to her own words describing why even close friends of her family seldom visited her which added to her loneliness and isolation. “Who would want to see withered limbs with the skin turned black, wrinkled and hanging loose, and with whatever fingers there were, sticking together with all the muscular strength of a piece of jelly?” (All of this affliction from typhoid at 6 months.) But, after years of enduring this tragic condition, several years of persevering prayer resulted in an absolutely amazing supernatural event. Undoubtedly, this quiet but dramatic event, only witnessed by one earthly person, Gulshan herself, was one of the most remarkable supernatural miracles to occur any time, any where, during the entire 20th century. This crippled Pakistani girl suddenly saw Jesus in her room accompanied by his 12 disciples. (Before that time she had no way of even knowing that Jesus had any disciples.) In her own words, this is what took place. Her suddenly having the total ability to walk on her formerly useless, atrophied legs are all the evidence that is needed in order to confirm the credibility of her account. However, her Messiah also gave her one more strong evidence confirming the reliability of her experience. In her isolated situation she had had absolutely no association with Christianity by radio, by person or by any other means. So she had not even heard that there was such a thing as the “Lord’s Prayer.” But, by the time that ALLAH’s Messiah had left her room, he had taught her the entire Lord’s Prayer, as well as having healed her. Her desperate, frustrated impatient words to the Risen Jesus, just before the supernatural event took place went like this, as described by her. “Look, you are alive in heaven and it says in the Holy Quran about you that you have healed people. You can heal me and yet I am still a cripple.” “I said his name again, and pleaded my case in despair. Still there was no answer. Then I cried out in a fever of pain. “If you are able to, heal me – otherwise tell me.” “I could go no further along this road.” Then the light began growing in brightness until it surpassed the light of day. She was very frightened. She then became aware of figures in long robes standing in the midst of her room. There were 12 figures in a row and the figure in the middle, the 13th, was larger and brighter than the others. “Oh GOD, I cried and the perspiration broke out on my forehead. I bowed my head and I prayed. ‘Oh GOD, who are these people, and how have they come here when all the windows and doors are shut?”’ Suddenly a voice said, “Get up. This is the path you have been seeking. I am Jesus Son of Mary, to whom you have been praying, and now I am standing in front of you. You get up and come to me.” “I started to weep. ‘Oh Jesus, I’m crippled. I can’t get up.’” “He said, ‘Stand up and come to me. I am Jesus.’” “When I hesitated he said it a second time. Then as I still doubted he said for the third time, ‘Stand up.’” “And I, Gulshan Fatima, who had been crippled on my bed for nineteen years, felt new strength flowing into my wasted limbs. I put my foot on the ground and stood up. Then I ran a few paces and fell at the feet of the vision. I was bathing in the purest light and it was burning as bright as the sun and the moon together. The light shone into my heart and into my mind and many things became clear to me at that moment. “Jesus put his hand on the top of my head and I saw a hole in his hand from which a ray of light struck down upon my garments, so that my green dress looked white. “He said: ‘I am Jesus. I am Immanuel. I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. I am alive, and I am soon coming. See, from today you are my witness. What you have seen now with your eyes you must take to my people. My people are your people and you must remain faithful to take that to my people.’ “He said, Now you have to keep this robe and your body spotless. Wherever you go I will be with you, and from today you must pray like this: ‘Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.’ “He made me repeat the prayer and it sank down into my heart and mind… I wanted to remain there at the feet of Jesus, praying this new name of GOD – ‘Our Father’ but the Jesus vision had more to say to me. “Read in the Quran, I am alive and coming soon.’ This I had been taught and it gave me faith in what I had been hearing. “Jesus said much more. I was so full of joy… “I looked at my arm and leg. There was flesh on them. My hand was not perfect, nevertheless it had strength, and was no longer withered and wasted. “’Why don’t You make it all whole?” I asked. “The answer came lovingly:” ‘I want you to be my witness.’ “The figures were going up out of my sight and fading. I wanted Jesus to stay a little longer, and I cried out with sorrow. Then the light went and I found myself alone… wearing a white garment, with my eyes heavy from the dazzling light. Now even the lamp beside my bed hurt my eyes.” Rise Up Oh Women of IslamOh women of Islam, please seriously reflect on the personal implications for you of this amazing super natural miracle visited upon this one crippled Muslim Pakistani young woman. As the Risen Messiah said to Gulshan, “Get up and come to me,” is he not saying to you and to all the women of Islam, “Rise up and come to me?” Why am I emphasizing this for Muslim women and not for men? Because it has been my observation, whether it is right or wrong, that generally it is the women of Islam and not the men of Islam who have hearts and minds that are open. In contrast to women’s openness, generally speaking, it appears that many men of Islam have hearts and minds that appear to be coated with glue. That is, ancient, antique ideas stick to their minds and they refuse to sincerely examine their wrong ideas. Regretfully, for these glue-minded men, the security of sticking to their wrong ideas about why they should resist truth about ALLAH’s Risen Messiah has become much more important to them than truth or the future of their children or anything else. For example, despite how obvious it is that the one verse out of the entire Quran which states that the son of Maryam was not crucified, in it’s context, was never intended to be taken literally. Despite this virtually obvious fact, most Muslim men continue to insist on taking this one, complex, profound verse in the most rigid, simplistic, literal way that they possibly can so that they can continue to teach that ALLAH’s now Risen Messiah, from their distorted point of view, neither died nor rose from death. This wrong belief then is cherished by them more than they cherish their own children or their wives. It is as if it is a wonderful privilege to hold fast to a wrong belief about ALLAH’s own Risen Messiah. They hold this privilege of being wrong, dear to their hearts even though their distorted belief damages their children, their wives, the whole Middle East or even if it damages all of Islam and also puts in jeopardy their own future eternity. An effective technique which most Muslim men have perfected as a way to avoid appropriately honoring ALLAH’s Risen Bethlehem man is to play a certain game in order to avoid discussing truth. The game is called the “Son of GOD Game.” It can be played for hours, months or even years without any winner ever being declared. By men rightly stating that GOD is One, which He is, and that He has no partners, which He does not have, they end all meaningful discussion. Because they further insist that ALLAH having a spiritual son in the person of Jesus means to them that GOD has a partner and therefore is no longer One. But their belief that GOD having a spiritual son, means that He is no longer One GOD, is definitely not true. But their wrong reasoning has ended all reasonable discussion. Endless futile debate of this difficult to resolve issue, cannot be considered profitable. So mutual, reasonable discussion has essentially been put on a side track like the railroad puts an empty railroad car on a side track when it is removed from a freight train and it goes nowhere. Of course, it is correct to acknowledge that it was good that the coming of Islam with its emphasis on ALLAH being One virtually stamped out the anti-ALLAH polytheism that was being openly practiced and proclaimed at Mecca at the time of the Prophet Muhammad. So this triumph over the negative concept of families of gods was a positive triumph. To have effectively resisted polytheism was quite important to a new religion that at its very inception had to overcome the accepted concept of multiple gods supposedly fathering child gods. Therefore, it was and is quite appropriate for the Quran to contain verses which protect believers against this wrong practice. Nevertheless, it is necessary that a reasonable contrast be made between the constructive, reasonable concept of the One True ALLAH’s right to reveal Himself not as a trinity, but as a unified triune unity, with the blatant families of gods concept that was destructively being practiced at Mecca. However, despite that being said, there is another important phenomenon that it is absolutely necessary to keep in mind. That is, that the main important and significant issues to resolve regarding ALLAH’s Risen Messiah is not whether the title “Spiritual Son of GOD” is an appropriate designation for ALLAH’s Messiah. Instead, the two issues that must be decided are whether or not the Messiah had ALLAH’s unreserved blessing and whether by ALLAH’s great power, He raised His Messiah from the dead up alive. Of course, ALLAH enabling His Messiah to give sight to the blind, heal the cripple, cleanse the leper etc., etc., again and again more than demonstrated that he had ALLAH’s full blessing. And when the one verse of the Quran about him supposedly not dying, is understood in a less rigid, less simplistic and more reasonable way, then the Quran indeed, strongly confirms the wonderful, triumphant resurrection of ALLAH’s only Messiah. It is extremely relevant that when the first generation of believers came to believe in Bethlehem’s risen man, the question of whether he was the “Son of GOD” was not at all an issue. The relevant issue was that ALLAH indeed did raise him from the dead. So as long as Muslim men strive to avoid this issue of his triumphant resurrection and to insist on only arguing and arguing and endlessly debating on whether the Messiah is the Son of GOD, they are unintentionally sentencing their own families to a negative fate. They are making certain that the lives of their beloved families do not receive the benefit that comes with embracing ALLAH’s Living, Triumphant Messiah. Yes, I truly believe that it will not be men but it will be women who ALLAH will raise up to recognize how counter-productive and fruitless the men’s avoidance mechanisms have been that they have used to avoid truth. Therefore, it will be women who will take the positive steps to correct this harmful situation. Significantly, it should be noted that in the Risen Messiah’s long conversation with the young Pakistani woman, he never once used the term Son of GOD to refer to himself. However, he did once use the more symbolic term of Immanuel to refer to himself which can be interpreted “GOD with us.” Another harmful game that the resistant men play is “But the Scriptures Have Been Changed” game. This game also successfully helps Muslims to avoid acknowledging the authority of any Scripture preceding the Quran by falsely claiming that the Quran teaches that the previous Scriptures have been changed so that the previous Scriptures to the Quran have supposedly lost their reliability. But the Quran does not teach that those Scriptures have been changed. The changing that is mentioned in the Quran is the Jews changing the meaning of Scripture, not with their pens but with their tongues. Let me ask two pertinent questions about this alleged changing of the Scriptures charge made against the Jews. If they had actually changed the Scriptures as is charged, would they have allowed to remain in those Scriptures this horrible fact? That when GOD was punishing them for their serious sins, conditions became so bad that many starving Jews practiced cannibalism where even committed mothers ate their offspring, their own precious children. Of course, if they had indeed changed their Scripture, they would have quickly and thoroughly removed such a horrible fact about themselves. Also, if the Jews had actually changed the Scriptures, would they have allowed to remain in those Scriptures, verses about the Jewish people practicing the human sacrifice of their children? Of course they would have removed from the Scriptures such a shameful practice. So please oh women of Islam, expose these ridiculous games that your men are playing. Muslim men must realize that Islam cannot advance until Islam embraces ALLAH’s Risen, Compassionate Messiah who is revealed in the Scriptures preceeding the Quran and in the Holy Quran. Oh women of Islam, ALLAH is indeed calling to you. His words are similar to the following. “Please hear me oh women. I have called to Islam’s men for years but they have refused to listen. So please oh precious women, rise up and embrace your Risen Messiah. And in so doing, rescue your children from an unfulfilled future. For in rescuing your children, you will be rescuing the future of the Middle East. For I am looking to you to take a major leadership role in rescuing our entire world.” ALLAHU AKBAR!But I would like to close this plea to the women with sort of a defense of the men and a partial explanation of why I am convinced that Islam’s women are so much better equipped than Islam’s men to be the agents of change regarding the necessary acceptance and recognition of ALLAH’s Risen Messiah by Islam. The men, by and large, are out of touch with many hard realities of life that the women deal with on a regular basis. So this out of touch with reality factor contributes greatly to the men being so comfortable with wasting their time playing avoidance games rather than dealing realistically with hard every day realities. But it is reality that will affect their children’s futures. It is reality that the Messiah died and rose. Those who choose to reject this reality are creating serious problems for themselves by refusing to live in the world as ALLAH has ordained for it to be. So we will make just a small list of some of the every day practical realities that women are forced to deal with on a daily basis. Each of these realities greatly contribute to conditioning women to be much more aware that they need to take the initiative in making the realistic modifications in Islam that Muslim men work so hard at denying that these modifications need to be made. In contrast to the denial propensities of the men, partially due to the intensity of women being forced by their role in life to constantly deal with so many demanding realities, many women have developed their inner strength. So they have acquired the insights and the instincts necessary to swing open the doors of both their hearts and their intellects to ALLAH’s Risen Messiah. So we will put these reality factors under the title: Women Are Stronger and Often Wiser Than MenMost of us have accepted the false premise that men are stronger than women. Of course, this is absolutely true if we are mostly talking about weight lifting. There can be little argument with the premise that most men are physically stronger than most women. But we will now consider a few significant factors that help women to be more in touch with hard daily realities so that they are less apt to play avoidance games like so many men do. From the time that girls begin their teens, nature forces them to begin dealing each and every month with the often not so pleasant reality of their menstrual cycle which is sometimes accompanied by severe cramps. So the unpleasant reality of the menstrual cycle is patiently endured by a woman on a monthly basis for about 40 years. (This is an approximate total of the 480 menstrual cycles or at least 1920 days of various degrees of unpleasantness. However, you can subtract from the total number of 1920 days, the days of no menstrual cycle occurring during the equally demanding days of pregnancies.) Most women who marry experience the joy but also the difficulties accompanying pregnancy. Pregnant women not only must carry continuously the weight of the growing baby but also must carry the additional weight of the after-birth. Plus, there is the excruciating pain which usually accompanies the actual birth process. Then, add to this the reality that one out of five women experience mild to severe depression during and/or after pregnancy. After the birth or births, the mother day after day lovingly meets the multiple demanding needs of her growing children, never trying to avoid her variety of responsibilities as a mother. These include constantly buying food, regularly preparing meals, snacks, coffee and tea for guests, washing dishes, buying household items, buying, washing and repairing clothing, being both a nurse and a psychologist for sick or emotionally struggling children and a broad variety of other every day demands. In addition to striving to always meet the ever pressing needs of her children and sometimes her children’s friends, the married woman also has many responsibilities to meet various physical, emotional and other practical needs of her husband who sometimes is quite demanding. Even beyond her immediate family the wife often has various pressing responsibilities to serve different relatives both on her side and on her husbands side of the family, especially both of their aging parents and grand parents. With these repetitive doses of reality that all women but especially married women must face each and every day, these reality oriented women should make themselves aware of another exceptionally relevant fact. All Muslim women are being dreadfully unwise if they continue to trust the important future of Islam to those Muslim men who are in serious denial about the authority ALLAH has given His now Risen Messiah. Especially should all women of Islam be aware of the long range negative consequences that a possible counter-productive denial orientation virtually guarantees for the future of their great, important and influential religion. Tragically, if there is such a male denial syndrome as I strongly suggest that there is, this denial will seriously jeopardize the unfolding fragile future for all Muslim women’s children.
Therefore, please do not delay! Ever Present Risen Messiah. ALLAH Be With You! ALLAH Seeks Women Fighters For FreedomArise Oh Precious Women of Islam. You and your children represent the overwhelming majority of the one billion five hundred million persons of the Islamic world. So you must no longer allow a few authoritarian, closed minded, vision lacking men to control the eternal future of both you and your valuable children. You must not permit these men to continue to deceive you into following their false teaching about your Risen Messiah’s death and resurrection. They demand that you refuse to believe that ALLAH raised His Messiah from death after wicked Israeli leaders had unjustly executed him. For the sake of your children, for the sake of your own consciences, for the sake of truth, for the sake of your own relationship with ALLAH, for the sake of the future of one billion, five hundred million Muslims, for the sake of fairness to your now Risen Messiah, you must be willing to plead with the Merciful. You must relentlessly pray for Him to free you and other women from your present horrible bondage to the rigid, near sighted, evil brainwashing from the relatively few “addicted to power” men who are partially in control of what your minds believe to be true. They willingly and often eagerly sacrifice your future and the future of your children so that they can worship their own idol named, “Control Over Others.” It is a fact as is written in the Quran, that it appeared to certain Israeli leaders that they had permanently killed ALLAH’s Messiah, (Shubbihalahum), but they had not permanently killed him. Instead of ALLAH allowing them to permanently kill him, He allowed his death to only appear to be permanent. For in a matter of speaking, it could be said that he had not been killed because ALLAH used His great supernatural power to raise him up alive to Himself after his death. Despite this wonderful intervention by ALLAH on your behalf, you women of Islam have had your minds manipulated so that they are being held captive by a horrible deception. But you are not in temporary bondage to male Jewish leaders, like the Messiah himself once was. Rather, you are now living in bondage to the dictates of certain male Muslim leaders. So please vigorously fight to shake yourselves free from the ugly chains of restraint that certain leaders have wrapped around the excellent minds that ALLAH has given to you. Just as ALLAH once raised up your Messiah from his own temporary bondage to death, He also is able to raise you up from your temporary bondage to one false teaching about the true meaning of one profound verse in the Holy Quran. Of course it is improbable that you, the precious women of Islam, even realize that you are actually in bondage to these leader’s false teaching; a false teaching that not only dishonors ALLAH, but also has the additional effect of mocking the compassionate and kind, Risen Messiah. Please think about it carefully. This is not as unimportant as some political game. This is about whether you perceive the one and only Messiah ALLAH has ever sent to man as some one who is relatively irrelevant to the affairs of man and to his eternal destiny. If this is your situation, then you as a fair minded woman of Islam end up basically ignoring this kind, just man sent by ALLAH by more or less turning your back on Him. Two thousand years ago certain Israeli leaders heaped tons of guilt upon themselves when they more than mocked him, spitting in his face, torturing him and then turning him over to the Romans to be cruelly executed. But if you continue to ignore him and to turn your back on ALLAH’s own anointed, you are not guilty of anything more than ignoring ALLAH’s anointed Messiah. Yes, ALLAH has given you the freedom to make this unwise choice. Nevertheless, on the Last Day, both the Israeli leader’s who made certain ALLAH’s own Messiah was brutally executed and others of us who have consciously ignored or rejected him, will learn the eternal consequences of our wrong decisions. Please think about your decision carefully. Are you fair minded women actually willing to ignore this wonderful, kind and just man who jealous Israeli leaders unjustly chose to execute? Or, will you choose to embrace the pure spiritual love which ALLAH, through His Risen man from Bethlehem, has sent to you and to your precious children? For if you choose to link your life with ALLAH’s Risen Messiah, a significant part of your eternal reward will be this. Your own life will have become spiritually bonded with the man who even today possesses all of the personal qualities and sensitivities that he revealed when he so profoundly influenced each of the blessed women previously discussed in this paper. back to "Especially For Women" page
